Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Potential Bottom-Plays & More

Solaris Power Cells, Inc. SPCL

We’ve got a news play hitting our scanner this morning in SPCL, and as it turns out, the chart is looking ripe for a nice move. As we’ve pointed out on the following snapshot, the stock is trading near a relative bottom, having just registered a new 52-week low just two weeks ago.

Our regular readers are well acquainted with our history of banking excellent gains off a good rebound play. SPCL could be next in line on that front, so we’ll keep a sharp eye on it to start the week.

In addition to trading near a bottom, we’re seeing signs of a very oversold stock with a lot of room to the upside:

Frontline, Ltd. FRO

We’ve got a long history with FRO that stretches all the way back to 2012. We tagged FRO in Thursday’s premarket report, after it hit a relative bottom of 2.21 on Wednesday. Our observed low following Thursday’s alert was 2.32, and on Friday we saw as the stock inched up to a high of 2.43. We’re going to be on the lookout for further gains; the stock is gapping up slightly in early trading this morning.

An added element to the story is an opinion article that came across the wires last week pertaining to the perceived undervaluation of FRO. It points to a potential longer-term uptrend in the cards, stating that while this year’s earnings growth is expected to top last year’s by more than 200%, that hasn’t really been reflected in the share price. Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PVSP, MJMD Recaps & More

Pervasip Corp. PVSP

Our first order of business in yesterday’s premarket report was to call attention back to PVSP, and the timing turned out to be excellent.

The stock touched a daily low of .0018 just after 10AM, and spent most of the rest of the session bulling its way to new highs. Shortly after 2PM, it hit .0028. That registers as a 55% intraday gain.

PVSP was trading at an absolute bottom (.0001) as recently as February 28th, meaning that yesterday’s high represented a ridiculously strong upswing of 2700% in under a month!

We’ll continue to keep PVSP in mind as we await further updates on last week’s acquisition of a Colorado-based hydroponics distributor. >> READ PR

MediJane Holdings, Inc. MJMD

MJMD appeared in our extended watchlist yesterday, and turned out to be another impeccably-timed alert. The momentum we observed in the stock during a routine scan on Friday made its inclusion on our radar a no-brainer.

MJMD exploded out of the gate at .005 and ran hard, reaching its peak at .02, and marking an exceptional intraday run of 300% It did so on nearly ten times its 30-day average volume, so big cheers go out to any of our readers who were able to hitch a ride on that freight train!

It’s good to see some liquidity flowing back into cannabis stocks, which endured a noticeable slump in recent months. Another one that caught our eye with a big move yesterday was LGBI, and we’ll be on the lookout for any dip-and-rip chances it may provide.

Kraft Foods Group, Inc. KRFT – Options

As our regular reader are surely aware, we’ve been tracking KRFT Calls ever since the big news of the Heinz merger came across the wires last week. Our initial ideas were to monitor April 17th, $75, $80, and $85 Calls and it worked out in spades as the stock approached the $90-mark on Friday.

Yesterday continued the upward momentum, leading KRFT to break $90, and that left a couple of our observed contracts in a good position to continue their gains. While the $70’s were pushed a little deep into the money to make any further appreciable moves, the $75’s and $80’s still managed to provide opportunities for daytrades.

04/17 $80 Calls – Range: 7.90-10.30 – Max Gain: 30%
04/17 $85 Calls – Range:3.40-5.61 – Max Gain: 65%

Those traders savvy enough to roll their strike price up to the $90-level would have been duly rewarded as the 04/17 $90 Calls made their way from .91-1.91, for a 110% intraday move. Should KRFT continue its upward momentum, those will most likely be an area of interest for us in coming sessions.

FRTD, PSID, PLUG & Extended Watchlist

Fortitude Group, Inc. FRTD

Leading up to yesterday, FRTD had already afforded us the opportunity to make up to 122% as we called out the stock on Tuesday and watched as it subsequently ran from .0081-.018.

At the start of yesterday’s session, FRTD briefly peeled back to .0151, found support, and would go on to hit a high of .0249. That marked an intraday gain of 65%, and brings our two-day total of cumulative gains on this stock to 187%

That performance came behind a PR that was released after the open announcing the possible repurchase up to 100M shares, read ahead for the whole story:

Positive ID Corporation PSID

Ever since we brought PSID, an old favorite, back to the table in a report we published on February 18th, the stock has been creeping steadily higher each day. At the time of that initial alert, we observed a low of .0572. That places our total possible gain on this play at 92% as of yesterday’s high mark at .11.

Take a look at the following chart we’ve annotated to highlight some of the key aspects of the chart. Conditions appear to suggest that a sustained uptrend could be in the cards. In the event that another consolidation period occurs we’d like to see support hold at or above the 200DMA.

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

February 15th marked the one year anniversary of PLUG appearing in our reports for the first time. We’ve continuously monitored this stock’s amazing progress, coming all the way from .1155, and continuously growing into the $4.00+ gem that you see today. If you take a look at the search results for PLUG in our archives, you can see that we’ve followed it every step of the way.

You don’t need a calculator to tell how impressive the overall move from PLUG has been, but just for fun, let’s use ours: In one year’s time, PLUG has given us the gift of an absolutely unreal increase of 3,917% measuring from yesterday’s high of 4.64!

The stock reached these heights thanks in part to orders the company has received from the world’s largest retailer. Along its current trajectory, we would not be surprised to see this stock continue its steady advance:
