Continuing to Play the SPY & More

Large Options Gainers:

Our first order of business this morning is to go over the SPY Puts from yesterday morning’s premarket report which flourished with the help of a significantly down day for the markets at large. We played SPY calls the previous day that worked out, and today we’ll flip right back to calls as the markets appear ready to head up once again. The SPY is our favorite market analog for daytrading, and perhaps now some of you may have a better idea as to why.

Yesterday’s successful targets were the SPY 04/11 $446-444 Puts and we’ve also got a new high in the LW 04/15 $60 Calls we’ve been tracking. so here are the figures on all of those, and be sure to read on below to find our fresh SPY targets for today so we can keep this train rolling!

SPY 04/11 $446-444 Puts
$446:
2.00-7.15 (+258%)
$445: 1.48-5.59 (+278%)
$444: 1.07-4.55 (+328%)
_____

LW 04/15 $60 Calls
$60: 3.50-6.90 (+97%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SPY 04/12 $441-444 Calls
KMX Weekly $105-97.50 Puts

Kona Gold Beverage, Inc. KGKG – Recap:

KGKG has been appearing in our daily extended watchlists regularly since early last month, and our reasons for tracking it so heavily have become readily apparent over the past several sessions. The stock saw a low of .0051 subsequent to our initial alert, and has been on a steady climb essentially through the entire month of April. Yesterday KGKG set a new high of .0299, which marks an exceedingly excellent move of 486%

SMPL Update, Form-4 Alert

The Simply Good Foods Co. SMPL –
Options Review
.
On Thursday morning, SMPL was among the fresh options trading targets that we had mentioned in our premarket report.  We were looking specifically at the SMPL 08/21 $20-22.50 Calls.

Despite it being one of our relatively rare longer-term swing-trade ideas, with tons of time remaining until expiration, we did see some early gains right off the bat from those plays as the week drew to a close.

08/21 $20-22.50 Calls
$20: 1.50-2.20 (+47%)
$22.50: .70-1.30 (+86%)

We’ll certainly continue to have these targets on watch in the weeks and months ahead, it was good to see some instantaneous opportunity arise.

AxoGen Inc. AXGN – Form-4 Alert

We would also like to make mention of AXGN this morning. which we caught sight of during a routine Form-4 scan. We’ve got the CEO picking up shares and adding to his already considerable position just as the stock was preparing to register new annual lows.

We generally like to put stocks in this situation on watch, and will be anxiously awaiting the company’s quarterly results due in roughly two weeks.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Celebrating 6 Years!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

First thing’s first- today marks the SIX YEAR anniversary of when we launched BlueHorseshoeStocks.com, our home on the web, and place to store and make available every single newsletter we’ve ever sent out during that time! We’ve unfailingly brought ideas to the table every trading day since then and want to take this opportunity to thank all of our readers who we value so much. From the most loyal who have been with us from the beginning, to every single person we picked up along the way. Cheers to all!

GoPro, Inc. GPRO

We put a set of options on watch for GPRO on Friday morning, and the potential single session gains that were there for the taking ranged from very good to downright fantastic!

Our highlighted range was the GPRO Weekly $9-10 Calls, and the intraday move that the stock itself made from a low of 9.31 up as high as 10.38, facilitated the following gain opportunities:

$9 Calls – Range: .34-1.35 – Max Gain: 297%
$9.50 Calls – Range:.13-.84 – Max Gain: 546%
$10 Calls – Range:.01-.40 – Max Gain: 3900%

As you can see, the chances for profits were exponentially greater, the higher the strike price chosen, but all around the idea turned out to be solid no matter what.

Eros International, plc EROS

We want to place EROS on watch as a possible bottom-bounce play this morning, after noticing a couple of different factors at work. The stock spent the past several sessions getting pummeled down to new 52-week lows, which in itself would be enough to catch our attention.

This morning we’re seeing a notable gap-up in the premarket, on the news that the Indian film company has entered preliminary talks with Apple to sell its entire content library. (>>View PR)

The stock was recently trading in the $14 range, and a return to that level does not seem out of the question, so we want to keep an eye on EROS as we kick off a new trading week.
