PLUG, IACH, CALI, AAPL & Extended Watchlist

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

PLUG turned in a solid session yesterday, as anticipated, following its appearance in our morning report. Initially, the stock opened at 1.04, made a 12.5% move to 1.1699, and would settle back to the 1.04 level before running up to a daily high of 1.28 for an added 23% intraday gain opportunity.

Following a strong close just a tick below the high-of-day (1.27) we’re going to be following this play once again, as the momentum could easily carry it even higher. As you can see on the chart below the next key area of resistance to watch for a break comes at the 1.45 level. We’ll need to see the stock hold support above a dollar, or it could pull back to fill the gap on the chart back to the .80-range.

Information Architects Corp. IACH

We’ve been tracking IACH via our Extended Watchlist for most of the week. The stock recently made a huge 1800% move from .001-.019, prompting us to put it on our radar,  monitoring for pullbacks and subsequent bounce opportunities, and it delivered just that.

After dipping back to .008, we saw a rebound back to .013, and a strong close at .012. Gains of up to 63% could have been achieved on the bounce.

China Auto Logistics, Inc. CALI

We also want to keep an eye on CALI, which popped up on our pre-market scan as it is gapping up heavily on the heels of a morning press release.

TIANJIN, CHINA, Dec 05, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) — China Auto Logistics Inc. (the “Company” or “CALI”) (NASDAQ: CALI), a top seller in China of luxury imported automobiles, and a leading provider of auto-related services, reported today that on November 30, 2013, its subsidiary, Tianjin Binhai Shisheng Trading Group Co., Ltd. (“Shisheng”) signed an equity transfer agreement with Hezhong International Development Co, Ltd. to acquire Tianjin Zhonghe Auto Sales Service Co., the owner and operator of the Airport International Automall in Tianjin (the “Automall”). The Company plans to develop the Automall into a key site for what it believes can become one of the largest used car businesses in China.

Apple, Inc. AAPL Options

With the way AAPL has been gaining a head of steam lately, it seems plausible to imagine the stock surpassing $600 as we head into the new year. As a result, we are putting the 01/18 $585 Calls on our radar which closed at 12.25 yesterday, meaning the break-even point is 597.50. What we’re looking for, is to see the stock push past to the $610-15 level in January, which could provide triple-digit gains for the 01/18 $585 Calls.

The company finally signed a deal with China Mobile to get its iPhones on their network, as reported by the The Wall Street Journal this morning. China Mobile is comprised of over 700 million users, which obviously represents huge opportunity (in a market more than twice the population of the US) for Apple to boost foreign sales moving forward.

Extended Watchlist:
CBMX, DRYS, MTG, FREE, FCEL, EGLE, LIVE, OCZ

GOGO, AZC, PHOT, CBMX & Extended Watchlist

GOGO, Inc.  GOGO

Yesterday after appearing as a focus in our morning report, GOGO responded by posting yet another solid performance. After sinking to a daily low of 27.11, we witnessed a 12% intraday move to 30.26 on twice the 3mo. average volume. That was followed by a strong close, as it held the majority of its gains at 29.70.

The following screenshot captures the activity of the options we were interested in: The 01/18 $30 Calls made a 78% intraday move, and with the way GOGO is trading up pre-market, it’s fair to expect these contracts to be pushed even deeper into the money, adding to our already impressive chances for profit.

Augusta Resources Corp.  AZC

AZC also had a positive showing after yesterday’s report; the stock traded in a range from 1.06-1.25, giving us the opportunity to bank up to an 18% gain. We were correct in assuming that this recovery play was worth our attention, and a return to pre-11/20 levels would still mean significant gains from where it sits now.

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

We’ve continuously covered PHOT for over a year now, and the stock has definitely brought us some prime opportunities for sizable gains, as a quick glance at the chart will show. A recent dip back to the .06-range has been immediately followed by a significant bounce. We are looking at resistance sitting at .095 and from there it has a good chance to re-test recent highs.

We’d like to see higher lows today to confirm that PHOT is indeed back on an uptrend.

To take an even more in-depth look at the PHOT chart, view the video we prepared this morning:

CombiMatrix Corp. CBMX

CBMX came off of yesterday’s extended watchlist to have a big day. The stock opened at 2.48, and would ultimately touch a high of 4.44, which was good for a 79% intraday rip. This came on roughly 48X times the 3mo. average volume, so a stock with this kind of momentum flowing through it will surely continue to be on our watchlist as we close out the week.

Extended Watchlist:
MRIB, ARIA, USU, PVG, POZN, ATRM, ONVO, OIBR,

SAEE, AZC, GOGO & Extended Watchlist

7 Star Entertainment, Inc.  SAEE

SAEE traded sideways yesterday, however we did see a significant amount of volume flow through the stock, to the tune of more than twice the three-month average.

The fact that SAEE didn’t lose any value, and maintained support above a penny is an encouraging sign. We are still on the lookout for further activity on this stock, because as we pointed out yesterday, the chart still looks favorable. A departure from the current holding pattern could certainly lead us to substantial realized gains.

As you can see on the chart below, SAEE is holding support above the 10 and 20DMA’s, and accumulation/distribution is as high as it’s ever been.  We also have an RSI that is registering just below the 50-line, so we’ll be watching for a breach there as well. A PPS break of resistance at .013-.014 could get it there.

All in all, we are still fairly confident in SAEE’s ability to make positive stride from its current level.

Augusta Resources Corp.  AZC

AZC hit our scanners this morning as a potential recovery play. Yesterday the stock tumbled more than 60% from its open just above 1.60, all the way down to the low .60’s. It appears as if we could witness a bounce off of that bottom today as the stock course-corrects following that sell-off.

The huge dip was catalyzed by the announcement that the US Environmental Protection Agency recommended the company’s application for a federal water permit be denied. That effectively puts the company’s plans to build out a copper mining facility on the scrap heap.

Still, whenever we see rapid losses of this magnitude, our thoughts always turn to reaping potential rewards off of the subsequent bounce.

GOGO, Inc. GOGO

We first began talking about GOGO on September 16th, after which time we witnessed an epic run from 14.79-31.55. Last week brought a consolidation and the stock reached a low of 24.24 earlier this week, where it found support just off of the 10DMA. Now that GOGO is headed back up, we will look for it to retest its recent highs.

Options Trading Idea:
On the options side of things, we are looking at GOGO’s 01/18 $30 Calls. They closed at 2.16 yesterday. Hypothetically, should GOGO break out to new highs by January, reaching 35.00, these Calls could be valued at upwards of $5.00 or better.

Extended Watchlist:
OXBT, CRNT, CBMX, ONCY,

ATOS, CTIC, APP & Extended Watchlists

Atossa Genetics, Inc.  ATOS

We tacked ATOS onto our extended watchlist yesterday morning, noting that the stock was in the midst of a “Huge gap down” and that we were “watching for a potential bounce”. Indeed that was the case, as the stock touched a low of 2.54 before a reversal carried it as high 3.18, a 25% intraday gain. As usual, when we see big gap-downs, we are looking out for quick-strike opportunities that allow us to make a rapid profit and a timely exit.We have uncovered a few other stocks fitting that profile that we will be monitoring for similar activity today:

Tower Group Intl. Ltd. TWGP

CEL-SCI Corp. CVM

Celgene Corp. CELGZ

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. CTIC
Another play from yesterday’s extended watchlist, CTIC opened at its low of day, and rumbled upward for a 23% move, closing at the high of day on nearly 12X its 3mo. average volume. In doing so, it managed to break a previous swing high at 1.80, a level we’d like to see hold as support moving forward.

We prepared the the following video chart on CTIC:

With the kind of momentum CTIC built up over the course of the day yesterday, this is one play that will be near the top of our watchlists in the near future. The catalyst here seems to be an agreement announced yesterday between the company and the FDA as outlined in the press release below.

SEATTLE, Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTI) (NASDAQ and MTA: CTIC) today announced that the company reached agreement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on a Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) for the planned pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial, known as the PERSIST-2 trial, evaluating pacritinib compared to best available therapy, including approved JAK2 inhibitors such as ruxolitinib, in patients with myelofibrosis whose platelet counts are <100,000/uL. The SPA is a written agreement between CTI and the FDA regarding the design, endpoints and planned statistical analysis approach of the trial to be used in support of a potential New Drug Application (NDA) submission. The PERSIST-2 trial is the second of two planned Phase 3 clinical trials in patients with myelofibrosis. CTI expects to initiate the PERSIST-2 clinical trial in the fourth quarter of 2013. >>> FULL STORY

American Apparel, Inc. APP

APP is another stock we have tracked for an extended period of time. We have been watching this one to sniff out a bottom for the past few months, and wanted to re-enter it into the conversation today, as that point may be drawing near. A quick peek at the chart below clearly shows just that:

Extended Watchlist:

JCP, AGEN, CBMX, NAVB, TKMR

EXHI, WNTR, Marijuana Stocks & Ext. Watchlist

Exlites Holdings International, Inc. EXHI

Although we are not among the many groups paid for promoting EXHI yesterday, our intuitive scanning techniques allowed us to sniff the play out like a bloodhound, and deliver it to our subscribers before the promotion hit! Due to that diligent morning scan, we turned up an advance opportunity at what ended up being max intraday gains of 169% The stock screamed out of the gate at .08 and soared as high as .215 before eventually losing momentum.

This turned out to be just another example of why we consider ourselves to be the number one penny stock newsletter/blog in existence. Our commitment to bringing our subscribers opportunities like these  is ceaseless, a fact to which many of our longtime followers can attest. After the great fortune we enjoyed last week, it was great to begin this week on a high note like EXHI.

Medical Marijuana Stocks Heating Up

As you well know, we’ve had an awful lot going on of late, and while we took a short break from talking about one of our favorite sectors in the month of July, it appears that the medical marijuana arena is heating up once again. We say it is one of our favorites, because as some of you will remember, beginning with our first report on the subject in the fall of 2012, as well as its follow-ups (Pt.2, Pt.3), we enjoyed monstrous gains from several stocks in the field. By checking out those reports, you can get an understanding of the kind of success we had with the sector as a whole. Of course we covered individual marijuana stocks on an ongoing basis the entire time. These included, but were not limited to: CBIS, HEMP, PHOT, MJNA, & MWIP.

We’re going to be moving these plays back to the forefront, putting them near the top of our watchlist once again. If the upcoming autumn season for medical marijuana is half as lucrative as last year’s Fall, we are in for a heck of a ride. Stay tuned!

Worldwide Internet Inc. WNTR

We’ve also got a new play that has popped up on our radar this morning. A dead-cat bounce play, WNTR is coming off of lows which were the result of a recent sell-off. The stock achieved higher highs and higher lows on the rebound yesterday, and we’re looking for the same thing today, which will allow us to confirm the current pattern as an uptrend.

We’ve had a lot of success with recovery plays like this one, so we’ll be watching closely today for any opportunity that WNTR might present.
