Kicking Off This Short Trading Week

Solid Friday Finish:

As we’ve been mentioning over the past week or so, we’re contending with an earnings dry spell at the moment, so our daily selection has been rather more limited than what is typical. However, we haven’t let that stop us entirely from formulating what we think are some of the more attractive prospects on any given trading day.

Friday’s premarket report was limited to just a pair of fresh options ideas, the ADBE Weekly $510-515 Calls and the SPY 06/16 $440-442 Calls. Despite a rocky session for the markets in general, we saw solid intraday movement from each of our selected contract sets. Here’s a breakdown of their daily performances:

ADBE Weekly $510-515 Calls
$510:
 .50-1.28 (+156%)
$515: .19-.42 (+121%)
_____

SPY 06/16 $440-442 Calls
$440:
 1.05-2.45 (+133%)
$441: .55-1.57 (+185%)
$442: .27-.87 (+232%)

Fresh Options Ideas:

Unfortunately, the dearth of high profile earnings reporters is slated to persist for the better part of the next month, but we will be equally persistent in our efforts to keep the ideas based on other factors flowing. Here’s what we find interesting today, to kick off this holiday-shortened trading week.

NVDA Weekly $425-430 Calls
SPOT Weekly $157.50-160 Calls
SPY 06/20 $437-438 Calls*

*Trading options contracts on their day of expiration should only be attempted by experienced traders

Closing Out a Fruitful Trading Week

Options Recap:

We offered up a good mix of options ideas in yesterday morning’s premarket report, most of which worked out for us. We’ll leave out the September calls we signaled in CRMT because that idea is going to take a little time to mature, but the other three plays we highlighted turned in solid performances on the day.

We were looking at the CAG 04/08 $35-33 Puts, the STZ 04/08 $237.50-232.50 Puts, and the LW 04/15 $60 Calls. and got some pretty good intraday movement there.

Sunshine Biopharma, Inc. SBFM – Review:

We tagged SBFM for observation in our extended watchlist on Tuesday morning, at which time we observed the stock trading for as little as 4.86/share. Hot Stock Runners, Fresh Ideas

Winning Options Recap: :

Yesterday’s quick-strike option idea was the NVAX 12/23 $230-235 Calls. We also had a longer-term play in the SNAP chain that will need some time to mature. For now, the gains in our NVAX targets weren’t exactly eye-popping, but they were very respectable for the session.

NVAX 12/23 $230-235 Calls
$230:
 3.45-6.65 (+93%)
$235: 2.97-5.18 (+74%)

Potential Swing Trades to Track into 2022

Bottom Play Options Candidates:

The winter holiday season is upon us, and it has been tough sledding over the past week with regard to the low amount of daily earnings reporters. Unfortunately, this down period is going to persist for the next month, but we will still make every effort to scout out and formulate trading ideas. We’ve gotten through other earnings dry spells before, and we’ll do it again this time as well!

Typically when there are no earnings to fuel intraday volatility that we can use to our advantage, we search for insider trading, and favorable technical setups as the next best thing. We’ve got some fresh ideas today that fall into both of those categories, with insider trades recently logged in VZIO and ETLB, and an interesting chart setup on TKR.

All three of these qualify as bottom plays that are going to be prime swing trade candidates to track into the new year:

TKR 01/21 $65-70 Calls
VZIO 01/21 $19-20 Calls
ETLB 01/21 $80-85 Calls

MRNA Calls Post Multi-Bag Runs & More

Moderna Inc. MRNA – Options Explosion:

Our decision to feature MRNA Calls in Friday morning’s premarket report turned out to be an absolute stroke of genius, and opened the door on some truly incredible intraday trading opportunities.

We were zeroed in on the MRNA 12/03 $320-325 Calls, and ended up witnessing one of the largest single session moves made by any of our picks from the whole of 2021, in the $325’s. The stock itself ran sharply, perhaps with the aid of coronavirus anxiety stoked by the emergence of a new variant. The run enabled the following fantastic intraday chances for our readers:

MRNA 12/03 $320-325 Calls
$320:
 8.00-39.07 (+388%)
$325: 1.30-36.00 (+2669%)

We’ll go ahead and roll up our potential strike area to include the MRNA Weekly $355-365 Calls on the chance that MRNA maintains its this incredible momentum.

LI Weekly $33-35 Calls

Faraday Future Intelligent Electric, Inc. FFIE – Bottom-Watch:

In the midst of tax loss selling season, we’re always going to be on the lookout for potential bargains, and we believe we may have found one in FFIE. As we’ve pointed out on the following chart, the stock has been beaten up considerably. It’s extremely oversold at the moment, and we’re going to want to monitor it for a recovery in the weeks and months ahead.

We’ve also gotten some impressive new highs in a couple of the plays we were highlighting on Friday.
