A Load of Fresh Targets

Amkor Technology, AMKR

We’re going to take a little break from our typical focus today, and have a look some pure stock plays that we feel have some good potential. So our first billing on this Monday morning is going to be AMKR.

The stock has been searching out a bottom over the last few sessions, which it has found around the upper $10-level, and has just received an upgrade and $16 price target from Credit Suisse. Accordingly, we’re going to place AMKR on extended watch for the possibility of a notable rebound from the current PPS.

Bellerophon Therapeutics, Inc. BLPH

Another stock play we’re focusing in on today is BLPH, a symbol we’ve had some experience with in the past. After a lackluster summer, the stock appears to be gearing up for a potentially fruitful fall season. It recently reversed off of a bottom, and we’re going to want to place this one on watch for an extended term as well.

BLPH tested the $20-25 range back in May, and we are going to hang around to see if it can mount a similar effort as we head into the holidays.

Kontrol Energy Corp. KNRLF

Speaking of stock plays, we had included a mention of the OTC stock KNRLF in our watchlist on Thursday morning. The low from that day came in at 2.12 and on Friday, it reached a new high of 3.88 marking a two-day swing of 83%

It also ended up closing out the week with strength very near that daily high, so we’ll have our eyes peeled for a possible continuation of that momentum.

LULU Success, Fresh Options Plays

Lululemon Athletica Inc. LULU

Yesterday morning, we hashed out some options ideas, among which were the LULU Weekly $340-335 Puts. The company’s year-over-year quarterly figures came back low, as is to be expected with many retailers during the pandemic.

The lackluster earnings drop provided our bearish ideas with some intraday firepower that was as follows:

LULU Weekly $340-335 Puts
$340: 12.02-25.55 (+93%)
$337.50: 10.95-22.37 (+105%)

Basanite Inc. BASA

On Tuesday morning, we signaled BASA for observation, keeping it on yesterday’s extended watchlist as well. Over those couple of sessions, the stock has made a very nice move from Tuesday’s low of .6147 to yesterday;s high of 1.12.

That works out to an intraweek wing of 82% and we will continue to keep an eye on this runner for the possibility of further advances.

SPY Options Review

Yesterday morning, we went bearish on the markets as a whole, signaling the SPY 09/09 $340-338 Puts for observation in our premarket report. Our hunch on the daily direction of the wind proved solid, as the contracts in our designated range produced healthy intraday runs.

Here are the moves and total possible gains we witnessed there:

SPY 09/09 $340-338 Puts
$340
: 3.94-7.59 (+93%)
$339: 3.30-6.78 (+105%)
$338: 2.75-6.00 (+118%)
_____

Fresh Options Ideas:
KOD 10/16 $45-50 Calls
LULU Weekly $340-335 Puts

Akabia Therapeutics, Inc. AKBA

We took notice of AKBA this morning because of the intriguing setup of the chart. The company had a bad clinical report recently and fell off of an absolute cliff. We want to place this on bottom watch and observe closely over the next several sessions.

There is a massive gap to the upside that you could drive a truck through, so we’re going to be anxious to see when the stock will move to fill some of that gap.

Extended Watchlist:
NKLA, SPCE, CODX, BASA, ZNOG, IJJP
