Multiple Options Updates, Fresh Ideas

Options Trading Updates:

A lot of the potential options targets we’ve been signaling for observation lately have had a July 15th expiration date, which is a slight departure from our typical targeting of weekly contracts. It has made sense in the current choppy climate being cause by a seemingly constant ebb and flow of recession concerns.

So this morning in addition to providing the moves made by the lone idea in yesterday’s report, the KRTX 07/15 $125-130 Calls, we’ll provide updates on a number of other still-active plays we’ve been tracking that are getting along quite nicely. Those are the KBH 07/15 $27-28 Calls, the WGO 07/15 $45-50 Calls, and the NFLX 07/22 $185-190 Calls. We called those on June 23rdJune 22nd and July 1st, respectively. Here are the total gains that have been possible with those plays over that time frames:

Kicking Off Another Short Trading Week

Options Play Review:

Heading into the long weekend on Friday, we took just one stab at a set of potential quick-strike weekly targets. We went to the short side on Micron Technology and thanks in part to an early dip in the markets, that idea yielded a pretty good set of runners.

We were zeroed in on the MU Weekly $53.50-52 Puts which produced the following multi-bag intraday runs for us:

MU Weekly $53.50-52 Puts
$53.50:
.66-2.06 (+212%)
$53: .43-1.65 (+284%)
$52: .20-.85 (+325%)

Additionally, we wanted to do a quick recap of a couple of the plays we signaled interest in earlier in the week. We flagged ideas in General Mills and McCormick in Wednesday morning’s report that finished out the week with strength and posted new highs. Our targets were the GIS 07/15 $70-72.50 Calls and the MKC 07/15 $90-80 Puts, which put up the following trading ranges and total possible gains between Wednesday and Friday.

GIS 07/15 $70-72.50 Calls
$70: 1.69-5.90 (+249%)
$72.50: .75-3.50 (+367%)
_____

MKC 07/15 $90-80 Puts
$90: 6.00-8.10 (+35%)
$85: 2.01-3.60 (+80%)
$80: .60-1.20 (+100%)

Gain Clients, Inc. GCLT – OTC Recap:

We also have a brief update on GCLT, an OTC stock we flagged in Friday morning’s extended watchlist. The made a very respectable intraday move, running from a low of .018 on up to a high of .0349. That works out to a single-session rip of 94% and that came on its second-highest daily volume ever recorded, with the previous session being the first.

Yesterday’s Options Movers, Fresh Plays & More

Yesterday’s Options Results:

Our perfect streak had to come to an end sooner or later, with one of our ideas from yesterday’s premarket report failing to produce instant opportunities. We didn’t see an immediate push from the August YETI Calls we signaled, but there is, of course, plenty of time before expiration for us to get the activity we’re looking for from them.

In the meantime, our other three selections proved to be solid ideas for the day, and three out of four is nothing to sneeze at! Those plays that yielded gratification were the WBA Weekly $38.50-39.50 Calls, the DCT 07/15 $17.50-15 Puts and the SGH 07/15 $17.50 Calls, and here were the total possible profits which could have been reaped from those targets:

WBA Weekly $38.50-39.50 Calls
$38.50:
 .52-1.13 (+117%)
$39: .45-.84 (+87%)
$39.50: .35-.59 (+69%)
_____

DCT 07/15 $17.50-15 Puts
$17.50:
2.45-4.00 (+63%)
$15: .70-2.25 (+221%)
_____

SGH 07/15 $17.50 Calls

$17.50: .15-.55 (+267%)

haring Economy International Inc. SEII – OTC Recap:

Yesterday morning we noticed that SEII had been pressing upward on a considerable run, and included it in our extended watchlist. The stock continued its impressive push, trading in a range from .106 up to .142. The momentum built up in this stock is considerable, and we’ll certainly be watching for a continuation of same in the sessions to come on the other side of the long weekend.

Cautious Yet Bold Options Strategy Keeps Bearing Fruit

Yesterday’s Options Success:

It seems like the winds of fortune have been gusting in our favor for quite some time now, with the options targets we outlined in yesterday’s morning report all producing gain opportunities on some level. That makes for the fourth straight session in which every single one of our interests has given traders a shot as compounding their funds.

Our daily focus was trained on the AVAV 07/15 $75-70 Puts, the GIS 07/15 $70-72.50 Calls, and the MKC 07/15 $90-80 Puts, which all put forth some measure of intraday run in what amounted to a bit of a choppy day for the markets as a whole. Things in that regard have become rather harder to predict, but we’ve been trying very hard to select potential plays with a good risk/reward balance. Here’s where our efforts led yesterday:

AVAV 07/15 $75-70 Puts
$75:
2.49-4.49 (+80%)
$70: 1.29-2.20 (+71%)
_____

GIS 07/15 $70-72.50 Calls
$70:
2.50-5.10 (+104%)
$72.50: 1.05-3.07 (+192%)
_____

MKC 07/15 $90-80 Puts
$90: 6.00-7.20 (+20%)

$80: .60-1.20 (+100%)

Options Performance on the Week Remains Flawless

More Options Review:

It has been a really good stretch for us with regard to our daily options ideas. We have been firing on all cylinders for several consecutive sessions, with yesterday’s slate of three all turning in excellent cards for the day., even our idea of the August calls in AXSM that was meant for a longer period of observation.

Our specific areas of interest in yesterday’s premarket report were the SPY 06/29 $390-392 Calls, the CHK 07/15 $85-90 Calls, and the AXSM 08/19 $35-30 Puts.  The SPY ran hard in the very early goings before the markets slid during the rest of the session, but that early push was more than enough to facilitate some nice moves for us. Those gains were as follows:

SPY 06/29 $390-392 Calls
$390:
 3.00-4.75 (+58%)
$391: 2.49-4.03 (+62%)
$392: 2.03-3.44 (+69%)
_____

CHK 07/15 $85-90 Calls
$85: 6.24-7.10 (+14%)
$90: 2.95-4.50 (+53%)
_____

AXSM 08/19 $35-30 Puts
$35: 1.47-3.70 (+152%)
$32.50: 1.40-1.95 (+39%)
$30: 1.00-1.32 (+32%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
AVAV 07/15 $75-70 Puts
GIS 07/15 $70-72.50 Calls
MKC 07/15 $90-80 Puts
