Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ROKU Recap & More

Roku, Inc. ROKU  – Recap

Typically, our ideas include stocks and options that are suited for short-term, quick-strike style trades. But occasionally, when the situation calls for it, we do formulate longer-term ideas.

Such was the case on the morning of September 23rd, when we tagged the ROKU 11/01 $115-118 Calls for extended observation. We provided an update on Friday of last week, but the gains experienced have since increased considerably.

$115 Calls – Range: 3.00-11.72 – Max Gain: 291%
$116 Calls – Range: 3.60-11.14 – Max Gain: 209%
$117 Calls – Range: 2.82-10.60 – Max Gain: 276%
$118 Calls – Range: 2.50-10.20 – Max Gain: 308%

Based on the stock’s premarket activity, we would expect to see these figures rise even further as we close out another trading week.

Bonus Idea: ROKU Weekly $122-123 Calls

Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. BBBY

We did include one of our typical fast-strike plays in yesterday morning’s premarket report, with our highlighting of the BBBY Weekly $13-12 Puts. That idea turned out to be extremely successful as well, with multi-bag intraday performances from both contract sets.

The $13 Puts ran from .51-1.27, marking a move of 149%, while the $12’s ran even harder, trading in a range from .10-.45 and rising by 350%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SPY Ripping & More

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY)

Fresh for yesterday’s premarket report was an idea we formulated for the SPY after it appeared we were headed for another bullish session, the SPY Weekly $270-272 Calls. When the markets behaved as we suspected they would, that provided us with some really great chances for single-session profits in our target contracts.

The gains were strong across the board, with the following excellent moves being made on the day:

$270 Calls – Range: .85-3.44 – Max Gain: 304%
$270.50 Calls – Range: .70-2.98 – Max Gain: 326%
$271 Calls – Range: .52-2.59 – Max Gain: 398%
$271.50 Calls – Range: .39-2.14 – Max Gain: 449%
$272 Calls – Range: .30-1.78 – Max Gain: 493%

Today, if the bonanza continues, we’ll look to roll up our strike prices to the 272.50-274 Calls today.

Under Armour, Inc. UAA – Final Update

This is the fourth day this week we’ve been tracking our UAA calls that we submitted in our premarket report on Tuesday, the UAA Weekly $15.50-16.50 Calls. We wanted to circle back around one last time to provide an update on the ranges we observed this week.

The lows listed represent those from Tuesday, and the highs were all registered yesterday, so the percentage figures given represent a three day overall upswing:

$16 Calls – Range: .34-2.38 – Max Gain: 600%
$16.50 Calls – Range: .16-2.00 – Max Gain: 1150%

VHGI, Form-4 Scan & Extended Watchlist

VHGI is an old time favorite of ours (we’ve followed this play since back in 2011) that has crept back into focus. As we encourage our readers to do on a regular basis, we received some correspondence from a subscriber who wanted to be sure that we had noticed yesterday’s 8-K submission by the company. The report states that VHGI has obtained roughly $65 Million in new funding.

The chart is exhibiting some promising conditions as well, having made higher lows for the past four sessions. We’ve pointed to a couple other key indicators that would seem to suggest that it is a good time to begin monitoring VHGI more closely.

Form-4 Scan Vol.II
Most of you will recall our last Form-4 (Insider Trading) Scan back in May which yielded some pretty impressive results. It was that scan that first caused us to become familiarized with stocks such as CETV, and ETRM, which would each go on to produce gains of 30% or more.

We thought it was time for another round of checking for insider buying activity, which can often be a good indicator of the level of confidence an officer has in the future value of his/her company.

Zogenix, Inc. ZGNX,
The Wendy’s Company WEN,
Manhattan Bridge Capital, Inc. LOAN,
PRGX Global, Inc. PRGX

We are going to add these to the pool of stocks we are tracking, and see if they fare as well as our last batch of Form-4 plays.
