Blue Horseshoe Stocks: New Options Ideas & More

Unique Pizza & Subs Corp UPZS

UPZS was one of a pair of stocks that we added to our watchlist on Friday that continued to perform well yesterday. We’ve had experience with this play making gains for us in the past as well. We observed a low of .008 in UPZS Friday morning, and yesterday the stock reached a high of .0136. That worked out to a three-session swing of 70% and has come on very high volume.

Yesterday’s move brought the stock to within just a few ticks of its 52-week high of .014. We’ll definitely want to keep a lookout for a breach of that price point, which could certainly lead to what we like to call a Blue Sky Breakout.

NetTalk.com, Inc. NTLK

The other notable mention from Friday’s report came in the form of NTLK, which took an extra couple of sessions to settle in and find support. It did so very early on yesterday morning, and followed up with a steady-gaining performance throughout the course of the day, which led from a low .0023 on up to .006, an intraday swing of 161%

We’ll watch for it to consolidate off of that high and keep our eyes peeled for subsequent rebound opportunities.

Fresh Options Ideas

Tesla Motors, Inc. TSLA
–  As we point out on the chart below, we watched as TSLA rejected off of its 50DMA yesterday and went bearish. We’re going to want to stick close and monitor a couple sets of medium-term plays in the event that an extended backslide occurs in coming sessions. We’re looking at four contracts in particular in this case- TSLA 01/11 and 01/18 $180 and $177.50 Puts.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ANF

We also want to signal a range of ANF contracts for observation in the wake of this morning’s earnings beat. We’ll look to take advantage of ANF Weekly $29-32 Calls for potential daytrade and intraweek swing-trade opportunities.

Salesforce.com, Inc. CRM – Options Update

Our fresh options idea in yesterday morning’s report panned out very well for us when all was said and done. We highlighted a range which encompassed six sets of contracts, the CRM Weekly $67.50-70 Calls, and regardless of which strike point was chosen, hefty intraday profits were there for the taking from around lunchtime, right up until the close.

The magnitude of the potential profits we observed were certainly not as epic as the two separate chances at 1500% gains provided to us by our Macy’s calls from earlier in the week, but in and of themselves, still very impressive.

$67.50 Calls – Trading Range: .70-2.04  – Max Gain: 191%
$68 Calls – Trading Range: .37-1.70 – Max Gain: 359%
$68.50 Calls – Trading Range: .35-1.20 – Max Gain: 243%
$69 Calls – Trading Range:  .12-.83 – Max Gain: 591%
$69.50 Calls – Trading Range: .13-.60 – Max Gain: 362%
$70 Calls – Trading Range:  .08-.30 – Max Gain: 275%

We must be doing something right when a 500% rip begins to seem small by comparison! In an attempt to extend our extreme good fortune with options plays this week right up to the end, we’ve prepared a couple of ideas* for possible day-trades based on premarket activity this morning.

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. – PANW Weekly $147-152.50 Calls

Baidu, Inc. – BIDU Weekly $172.50-177.50 Calls

*Pertaining to both of the preceding ideas, remember to always consider the inherent elevated risk associated with trading weekly options contracts on a Friday!

USA Restaurant Funding, Inc. USAR

After USAR offered us the chance at intraday gains of up to 51% on Wednesday as it ran from .0093-.0148, we suggested that a bounceplay could be in the cards, given the volatility we had observed- the stock had pulled back considerably toward the end of the session.

The rebound we referred to did come to pass during yesterday’s session, as USAR traded up from its daily low of  .0071 to a high of .0098. That represented a modest but solid 38% move on the day.

Agritek Holdings, Inc. AGTK – Update

We placed AGTK in our reports multiple times earlier this month, and the stock has responded with quite a nice performance in the intervening weeks since those tags.

Shortly after our most recent mention, we’d observe a low of .003 followed by a steady ramp-up at first, giving way to more significant increases this week. It culminated in a high of .0121 yesterday which marked an overall swing of 303% in fewer than a dozen sessions!

Based on its heightening activity, we’ll continue to leave a slot open for AGTK on our radar screens moving forward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: New Options Ideas, Bottom-Watchers & More

EffTec International, Inc. EFFI

EFFI was the standout play from yesterday’s daily report; we gained interest in this familiar play after noticing some abnormal volume and a PPS spike during Friday’s session.

The momentum it had built up was able to carry over into this new trading week, as the stock made its way from a low of .004 to .0056. It marked an intraday swing of 40% and puts us on alert for the possibility of further advances.

In terms of the technicals, the RSI just cracked into the power zone and the MACD is still bullish in appearance, with some serious upward divergence currently in effect. Provided the stock can continue to register higher lows on its way up, we’ll reserve space for it on our working watchlist.

RAIT Financial Trust  RAS

RAS has come to our attention as a stock that has been plummeting of late, and we’re beginning to speculate as to how long the decline can continue. Though it may still have a ways to fall before ultimately reversing, we want to place it on a close bottom-watch as we feel the eventual rebound could produce palpable upward swings, especially with such a large gap to fill on the chart (pointed out below).

Hypothetically speaking, a return to its pre-gap levels would mean gains in excess of 75% over the current share price.

Fresh Options Idea – FedEx

FDX is presently trading near a prior support level, and with earnings scheduled for the post-market tomorrow, we want to signal a possible options trading idea.

We’re going to want to radar contracts in the range of Weekly FDX $140-145 Calls today and tomorrow for activity running up to the earnings call, incidentally, in the midst of the busiest time of year for parcel deliveries. Things could get quite interesting for this play inside of the next 36 hours, so we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled.
