Blue Horseshoe Stocks: JNUG Recap & Much More

Direxion Daily Jr Gld Mnrs Bull 3X ETF  (JNUG) – Recap

Despite only providing a fleeting opportunity for gains on Tuesday morning after we submitted our options trading idea for the JNUG chain, we followed up with a reminder in yesterday’s report that the idea was still in play, and that we’d need to keep our heads on a swivel looking out for the move we were hoping for.

With the help of a Fed rate hike of a quarter of a percentage point, announced by Chairperson Janet Yellen yesterday, our specified contracts, the JNUG 03/31 $7-8 Calls took a serious turn for the better.

The daily ranges and potential profits were as follows:

$7 Calls – Range: .40-1.40 – Max Gain: 250%
$7.50 Calls – Range: .35-1.00 – Max Gain: 186%
$8 Calls – Range: .20-.87 – Max Gain: 335%

Once again, we’re going to reiterate our interest in these ideas, which could be in line to extend their highs, with JNUG gapping up in early trading this morning.

Aralez Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ARLZ

We placed ARLZ on bottom watch yesterday morning in what turned out to be a fantastic stroke of good timing. We just wanted to update readers this morning on the reversal which did indeed occur during the session. While the intraday gain potential topped out at 25% as the stock ran from the open (and also low of day) at 2.11 to as much as 2.63.

The inverted hammer candle that the stock posted yesterday is often thought to be an indicator of the end of a downward pattern, so we’ll be very interested to continue tracking ARLZ in sessions to come. Chart indicators are still looking very ripe, and we’d be surprised if the show was over after just a 25% rise.

Cannabis Sector Comments

Lastly, we just want to address the cannabis sector, particularly those stocks that are connected to legal recreational marijuana. After some very damaging comments made recently by the Trump Administration wherein it was suggested that the government could crack down on legal weed, yesterday we witnessed something of a reversal from Jeff Sessions.

Sessions appeared to hint at insufficient DOJ funding as a primary reason that perhaps the current regime will not be changing Obama-era guidance on leaving the treatment of recreational weed as a states’ rights issue.

On the heels of this development, we’re going to want to keep closer tabs on the cannabis sector once again, particularly those plays that lost a lot of ground after the first round of comments from Washington.

Some of our go-to favorites in the space have been OWCP, TRTC, SING, SGDH, CBIS, and MJNA, so we’ll be tracking these more closely in the days and weeks ahead, along with the sector as a whole, as stated above.

Fresh Options Idea:

The TSLA chart is looking ripe for a recovery, and the stock is gapping up moderately in premarket trading this morning. We want to signal a range of calls to monitor in the TSLA chain to potentially take advantage of what could be a protracted recovery. We’re going to zero in on the TSLA 04/07 $270-277.50 Calls, and monitor them in the days and weeks ahead.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: New Options Ideas

Jammin Java Corp. JAMN

We’d like to radar a familiar old play that we haven’t taken a close look at in nearly a year. JAMN, over the course of the past couple of months, has tumbled its way back to bargain-basement prices.

Now a subpenny play attempting to get a leg up over newly-registered 52-week lows, we’re going to be observing the stock for a potential recovery in sessions to come, as regaining just a fraction of the ground it’s lost recently could spell multi-bag upswings from current PPS levels.

Fresh Options Ideas

We’ve got a couple of new ideas on the options trading front this morning, and based on positioning on their charts, both of the following stocks may also be ripening for possible swing-trade opportunities.

Ford Motor Co. F – In addition to a slight ascending wedge pattern, F has a sizable gap to the upside not far off of the current pricing. Additionally, short interest on the stock has decreased by a large margin, setting us up to track some potential options ideas to correspond with what we think should be some upward momentum in coming sessions.

Along with F stock itself, we’re going to be tracking the F 10/14 $12-13 Calls for possible swing trades.
__________

Freeport-McMoRan, Inc. FCX – We’re interested in this copper play for a couple reasons this morning. A huge asset sale valued at roughly $2B hitting the newswires (>>Read More) is what has drawn our attention to FCX, in conjunction with a bottom bounce signal off of 5-month support levels on the chart.

We’ll be on the lookout for chances in the FCX 10/14 $11-12 Calls. Like the previously mentioned play, time won’t be as much of a factor here, with just over a month until these contracts are set to expire.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SGBY Recap & More

Signal Bay, Inc. SGBY

SGBY was one of last week’s top plays for us. We alerted the play at the beginning of the short week on Tuesday, and it responded with four straight sessions of higher highs and higher lows.

Friday’s move-up brought the stock from a daily low of .02 to a new high of .03, a 50% intraday gain. We had observed an ultimate low in the stock on Tuesday of .0103, meaning that over the course of the week, the total increase on SGBY was 191% Cheers to go out to anyone who was following along with us on this play.

With the kind of momentum the stock has built up at this point, we’ll be certain to reserve it a space on our watchlist as we kick off a fresh, full-length week.

VelocityShares Daily 2X VIX ST ETN (TVIX)

Our decision to submit TVIX to our morning report for tracking on Friday turned out to be a good one. The ETN is an inverse analog to the overall markets, and with a pretty good backslide for stocks, it consistently pushed the envelope all day.

It started by opening at 19.88 and spent the remainder of the day in perpetual uptick-mode. TVIX bulled its way to a daily high of 24.57 for an intraday move of 24% which is quite a solid jump for this price range.

TVIX appears to want to gap up further this morning, with a premarket high of 26.21. A continued backslide for the markets at large would certainly add to the gains we’ve already observed.

Two Rivers Water & Farming Co. TURV

We also want to swing back around to congratulate readers who picked up on our tag of TURV on Thursday, as we were met with a solid opportunity from this gainer as well.

From our observed low of .28 the stock managed to reach .50 Friday afternoon, marking an excellent two-day swing of 79% We’ll stick around and remain interested in TURV moving forward, provided it maintains support at or above .34 on any pullbacks.
