Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DRYS Recap & Much More

Dry Ships, Inc. DRYS

Yesterday we noticed that DRYS, a stock that has been in heavy decline since early this spring, had strung together a couple of decent sessions last week, so we tagged it for observation in our watchlist.

It was a good thing that we pointed it out when we did, because the move it made yesterday made the previous sessions’ activity seem like small potatoes by comparison. The Greek shipper made one of the largest single session leaps in its history, and we were right there waiting to take advantage.

From an early low of 13.60, the stock ran as high as 42.86 affording traders the chance to bank profits of up to 215% on the day. For a $10+ stock, that’s an absolutely incredible single-session move, and it came on well over two times the 3-month average volume. DRYS is now at its highest PPS since June, so congratulations to anyone who tagged along for the epic ride!

The stock is gapping up past the $50 mark in the premarket, so we could stand to see even further increases from this juncture.
______

Added Note:  We’re seeing ripple effects throughout the shipping sector, which is as hot as we can ever remember it being. As a result, we’ll place a couple other related plays on watch as well with SALT and TOPS.

Nokia Corp. NOK

We’ve had plenty of experience with NOK in the past, although we haven’t talked about it since May. We;re swinging back around this morning as we’ve noticed the establishment of a new 3-year lows on the stock.

We want to place the stock on bottom-watch at the present time as the chart is beginning to crack into heavily oversold territory, with the addition of a bullish MACD cross which just occurred. As you can see below, the histogram is also set to flip to the upside.

There’s potential for a good play on the stock itself, but of course, we’d also like to highlight a range of extended-term options ideas to use to our advantage if the eventual recovery plays out as we suspect it might. Our targets for the time being are going to be the NOK 01/20 $4 and $5 Calls.

Five Star Quality Care, Inc. FVE

We have an interesting scenario unfolding with FVE that we’d like to point out as well. On Friday, a Form-4 was filed on behalf of an FVE insider outlining the purchase of just under $54M worth of common stock executed at 3.00 (>>View Filing). The interesting thing is, the PPS on FVE was in the mid-$2 range at the time, where it still remains.

Such a vote of confidence by someone with inside knowledge of the company’s inner workings and future, is more than enough to sound the alarms for us. We’re going to immediately place FVE on watch and begin monitoring the stock for a reversal.

Added Reminder: Cannabis stocks are continuing to come back after a period of consolidation, after several new states voted put either recreational or medical marijuana on the books. Despite having many other things to focus on in the current markets, we don’t want to let marijuana plays slip off of our radar for even a moment, as the next big leg up could be just around the corner.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Momentum Plays & More

Top Ships, Inc. TOPS

We are going to place TOPS on bottom-bounce watch this morning. Yesterday the stock held in there just above its 50DMA, and recent support levels. Earlier this summer, the stock shot up exponentially so the ability to make drastic moves to the upside is present.

We’re going to throw TOPS on the radar and will remain interested in tracking its progress provided it holds above its recent swing low of 3.67. As you can see on the included chart snapshot, the MACD appears to be converging toward an impending bullish cross, to that will be a signal to watch for as well.

Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc. NWBO

Here’s a stock that has had a whirlwind couple of sessions this week, breaking a long pattern of consolidation with two extremely bullish sessions.

We’re going to want to place NWBO on watch as a possible momentum play on the chance that it continues this multi-day run. As long as it can maintain support above yesterdays low which coincides with the 50DMA at .43, we’ll be watching for more solid intraday moves.

Agritek Holdings, Inc. AGTK

We began tracking AGTK at the beginning of August (08/02), and most recently reminded readers about the stock yesterday morning.

What followed was a nice intraday pop, and new overall high as it ran from .0026 to .0035, for a 35% swing. From the .0013 low we observed just after our initial alert on the play last month, yesterday’s high represented a total increase of 169%

It both cracked and held above its 200DMA into the close and the RSI just managed to breach into the power zone. We’ll be anxious to continue tracking its progress moving forward following these bullish signals.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Chatroom Calls, More Ideas

From Our Daily Traders Chat

Based on the events of yesterday morning, it’s time once again to point out why we strongly suggest our readers also take part in our daily live traders chats via Skype.

Promptly at the opening bell, as you can see on the screen-snap below, we signaled interest in WCYN, which subsequently went on a huge intraday tear that took it from a low of  .0035 to as high as .047; that’s a move of 1243%

We also alerted TOPS at that time, and it made a run from 4.35 to a high of 7.09 for a 63% pop on the day. The stock is trading up over 7.50 in the premarket, so it looks like our observed gains are set to increase this morning.

Both of these plays are great examples of late-breaking opportunities that don’t make it into our daily reports, but that we still make available to our community of traders, and that includes YOU! To get involved, simply send a Skype contact request to username: “stocksumo” and we’ll get you all set up!

Kraig BioCraft Laboratories, Inc. KBLB

Yesterday we were outlining our July 13th report wherein we alerted KBLB, which was trading as low as .0261 at the time. To that point we’d seen it accumulate a gain of 164%, hitting .069 on Friday.

We also mentioned that we’d continue to track the stock if it could hold support above .04, and KBLB did us one better; it ran 27% from .075 to .095, and extended the overall increase we’ve witnessed in just over two weeks to an impressive 264%

CGrowth Capital, Inc. CGRA

After appearing in yesterday’s premarket report, this old familiar face produced a decent chance for some solid intraday profits. CGRA traded in a range from .0235 to .032, a notable jump of 36%

Options Idea:

Shire plc SHPG – Coming off of a premarket earnings release that has SHPG gapping up moderately in premarket trading this morning, we want to signal a range of options contracts to track in sessions ahead.

We’re looking at the SHPG Weekly $197.50-202.50 Calls. We’ll be interested in these calls provided SHPG holds support above the $195 mark on any initial pullbacks off of this morning’s gap-up.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DGLY, DRNE, APPG & Extended Watchlist

Digital Ally, Inc. DGLY

Our tag of DGLY prior to Thursday’s session had brought an excellent chance to collect up to 39% in profits last week as DGLY traded in a range from 5.75-8.00 that day.

The stock performed well for us for the second straight day on Friday, registering higher lows and higher highs. We saw DGLY run up from 7.10 to a high of 8.65, a 22% intraday gain. Measuring Friday’s high from the low we observed Thursday, marked an overall two-day increase of 50%

That figure increases dramatically when measured against this morning’s premarket high of 9.74. Anyone fortunate enough to pick up DGLY from the 5.75-mark would be looking at gains in excess of 69% at that level.

Drone Aviation Holding Corp. DRNE

We flagged DRNE in Friday’s Extended Watchlist and were pleased at the move the stock made from its early morning low of .89. It ran into the close and achieved a high of 1.10, an increase of roughly 24% on nearly 10x the average monthly volume.

The stock hadn’t traded that much volume since April, so we really did come upon DRNE at an opportune time.

Apptigo International, Inc. APPG

APPG is a bottom-bouncer that we wanted to mention this morning. On Friday the stock hit, and began to rebound off of its 52-week low of .366, closing at .51, just a penny below its high of day on twice the average monthly volume.

We are seeing a fresh PR out on APPG this morning as well:

MIAMI, FL–(Marketwired – Aug 25, 2014) – Apptigo International, Inc. (OTCBB: APPG) (OTCQB: APPG), a non-conforming, highly creative agency and mobile app developer, today announced that the Company has been invited to present at the National Investment Banking Association’s (“NIBA”) 132nd Investment Conference to be held in New York City on September 15-17, 2014. >> FULL PR

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DGLY, GOGO, JRJC & Extended Watchlist

Digital Ally, Inc. DGLY

DGLY came off of yesterday’s extended watchlist to perform admirably. The stock has been trading quite actively after some recent news that the company had been receiving inquiries from law enforcement agencies about its FirstVU HD Officer-Worn Video System, following recent events in Ferguson, Missouri. DGLY’s system seems like it would be a great way to achieve maximum accountability for street-level police officers.

We saw DGLY trading at 5.75 yesterday morning, and it would go on to hit 8.00 on more than 7x its monthly average volume, so cheers to anyone who was able to take advantage of that 39% intraday move.

China Finance Online Companies, Inc. JRJC

JRJC was another play off of yesterday’s extended watchlist to have a pretty good session. The stock came out of the gate trading at a low of 9.26 and gradually pushed its way up to a high of 11.88 over the course of the morning and into the early afternoon. That was good for possible gains of up to 28% on over 10x its 1-month average volume.

Gogo, Inc. GOGO

GOGO is a stock we were mentioning back in the spring, which made a small move, but then went into a months-long consolidation that culminated in recent lows in the $14-range.

After posting higher highs and higher lows over the past six sessions, GOGO cracked its 50DMA yesterday, so we thought it’d be good to watch this stock more intently as it trends off of its bottom.

While there’s nothing certain about it, we’ve heard some buyout rumors floating around about GOGO, which adds an extra element of interest to this play.
