Blue Horseshoe Stocks Kicks Off 2014 With a Bang!

Cannabis Sector Report

Our tenacity in covering one of the hottest stories of 2013 just won’t stop paying dividends, and all signs point to the sustaining of that trend in 2014.

Lately, some of you might have been wondering why we have been so keen to continue our focus on marijuana-related stocks (aside from the percentage gains they’ve already afforded us, collectively numbering in the thousands). You got your definitive answer yesterday, when 2014 trading kicked off, and the plethora of pot stocks we’ve been tracking proceeded to put some serious coin in our pockets!

While some newsletters have yet to even release their first picks of the new year, we are already tallying up a number of winning selections in this sector (and others).

Cannabis Science, Inc. CBIS

We caught CBIS off of its 52-wk lows (.028) in December. Following yesterday’s huge session, we saw a high of .087. That marks a huge 211% gain from our December alerts. Those who may have only caught yesterday’s report, still had the chance at up to 57% from the daily low of .0555.

GreenGrow Technologies, Inc. GRNH

From a low of .045 to a high of .0795, GRNH put up an excellent session to follow our morning mention, giving traders the chance at a very respectable 77% gain. Back on November 18th, we bore witness to a .02-low on GRNH. From that level, yesterday’s high represents a increase of 298%

Hemp, Inc. HEMP

HEMP traded in a daily range from .02-.0318, offering us gains of up to 59% on the day. Like the previously mentioned plays, HEMP appears to want to gap up today. The momentum we’re observing in all of these stocks could take awhile to dry up.

GrowLife PHOT

PHOT didn’t disappoint either, with it’s maiden session of 2014 seeing a low of .157 give way to a high of .2075, a solid move of 32%

Those were just the top gainers of the cannabis stocks we’ve been tracking, several others, including MDBX, ERBB, TRTC, FITX and more, also posted positive gains on the day, and will continue to remain on our watchlists moving forward.

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

Shifting gears from the marijuana stocks, we once again have PLUG. Following its appearance in yesterday’s newsletter (where we mentioned that this play had already made a move of over 1800% for us) PLUG would go on to have a bang-up first session of the year, dipping to a low of 1.89 before running up to 2.33, and giving us added gains to the tune of 23% The stock closed at the high of day, and as is always the case when that happens, we are on a sharp lookout for continued momentum. It appears that’s just what we’re going to get, as the stock is already trading up in the 2.50-range this morning on relatively heavy premarket volume.

GOGO, AZC, PHOT, CBMX & Extended Watchlist

GOGO, Inc.  GOGO

Yesterday after appearing as a focus in our morning report, GOGO responded by posting yet another solid performance. After sinking to a daily low of 27.11, we witnessed a 12% intraday move to 30.26 on twice the 3mo. average volume. That was followed by a strong close, as it held the majority of its gains at 29.70.

The following screenshot captures the activity of the options we were interested in: The 01/18 $30 Calls made a 78% intraday move, and with the way GOGO is trading up pre-market, it’s fair to expect these contracts to be pushed even deeper into the money, adding to our already impressive chances for profit.

Augusta Resources Corp.  AZC

AZC also had a positive showing after yesterday’s report; the stock traded in a range from 1.06-1.25, giving us the opportunity to bank up to an 18% gain. We were correct in assuming that this recovery play was worth our attention, and a return to pre-11/20 levels would still mean significant gains from where it sits now.

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

We’ve continuously covered PHOT for over a year now, and the stock has definitely brought us some prime opportunities for sizable gains, as a quick glance at the chart will show. A recent dip back to the .06-range has been immediately followed by a significant bounce. We are looking at resistance sitting at .095 and from there it has a good chance to re-test recent highs.

We’d like to see higher lows today to confirm that PHOT is indeed back on an uptrend.

To take an even more in-depth look at the PHOT chart, view the video we prepared this morning:

CombiMatrix Corp. CBMX

CBMX came off of yesterday’s extended watchlist to have a big day. The stock opened at 2.48, and would ultimately touch a high of 4.44, which was good for a 79% intraday rip. This came on roughly 48X times the 3mo. average volume, so a stock with this kind of momentum flowing through it will surely continue to be on our watchlist as we close out the week.

Blue Horseshoe: PHOT & Extended Watchlist

Growlife, Inc.  PHOT

Many of our long-time subscribers know about our extensive marijuana-related stock coverage over the past year, but for those of you who are relatively new to our subscriber base, let us get you up to speed. PHOT was among a vast selection of marijuana stocks that we began tracking last October, and have followed continually since that time. Several follow-up reports would also include PHOT, as you can see with a quick tag search on our blog/newsletter archive.Over that time, we saw PHOT go from a little-known sub-penny stock, to a .12-cent hot-item stock in the portfolios of many people, including ourselves. We’ve prepared a video presentation of the PHOT chart illustrating exactly what it has achieved in the past year. Presently, we are monitoring the stock, and would like to see support hold in the .05-.06 range. The main areas of resistance with which it must contend are sitting at .08, .11 & .12.

We are bringing PHOT back into the conversation today, as the company has released some new press this morning that we wanted to share:

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Oct. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — GrowLife, Inc. (OTCBB: PHOT), a diversified company operating in the legal cannabis industry including online and brick and mortar hydroponic stores, OEM grow equipment, commercial grow-op support, and media, is pleased to announce that the Company is expanding its products and services to include the GrowLife Infrastructure Funding & Technology program (GIFT) for select customers in Colorado and Washington. Facebook, Inc.  FB – Options
On Friday, we stated the possibility that we could “see FB return to the $50-level or higher, which would likely cause those (10/11 $49 Call) contracts to yield multi-bag gains.” While FB stock fell just short of that mark, touching a daily high of 49.87, the triple-digit profits we had anticipated did in fact come to fruition. Those Calls initially traded in a range from .35-.93, a 166% intraday move. Following that occurrence, they would pull all the way back to the .02-mark, before a late-afternoon surge brought them back to .14, another intraday move, this time good for the opportunity to rake in up to a 600% added profit.

Congratulations to anyone who was able to use those monstrous swings to their advantage.
