Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SUNE, DIS Updates & More

SunEdison, Inc. SUNE

We first began mentioning SUNE last month, as we were noticing the stock had been steadily beaten back since midsummer. We placed the stock on bottom-watch and since reaching its ultimate low of 2.55 on November 20th, it has been making steady strides to the upside.

We tagged the stock for more intensive tracking in yesterday’s premarket report, and were met with even more advances. SUNE put forth a modest but solid 15% increase as it traded in a range from 5.65-6.47. From our observed low just a few weeks ago, SUNE has produced an overall increase of 154%  We’ll continue to stay hot on its trail for as long as the bullish trend remains intact.

Options Recap – The Walt Disney Co. DIS

We were able to take advantage of the excitement surrounding DIS yesterday morning by submitting Weekly DIS $112-116 Calls for tracking, and in what seems like it’s become a regular occurrence for us, each and every set of contracts in our specified range made excellent intraday moves.

Here are the gains that were possible during yesterday’s session with these calls:

$112 Calls – Trading Range: 1.25-2.32  – Max Gain: 86%
$113 Calls – Trading Range: .80-1.58  – Max Gain: 98%
$114 Calls – Trading Range: .46-.95 – Max Gain: 107%
$115 Calls – Trading Range: .29-.54 – Max Gain: 86%

More Chatroom Success

Our good friend and chatroom participant, DJ, was up to his old tricks yesterday, entering yet another winning play into the mix.

NUVI was .008 x .009 at the time of DJ’s post (pictured above) and the stock ended up pushing to .0272 for an awesome 240% intraday surge.

Once again, a great example of why its a good idea to participate in our daily trader’s chats. To get involved, just send a Skype request to ‘stocksumo’.

Fresh Options Ideas – AAPL

This morning we’re looking to AAPL for a possible rally; the stock is gapping up and thus we will be looking for a potential dip-and-rip scenario. We are going to want to keep the Weekly $111-113 Calls on watch for today and tomorrow.

In the event AAPL pushes past the $113-mark, we’d of course look to roll up our strike prices to the $114’s and possibly even $115’s, depending on the magnitude of the surge.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Yesterday’s Big Winners & More

Lululemon Athletica, Inc. LULU

LULU was our options trading target yesterday as we noticed the stock gapping down more than 10% in the premarket on an ill-received earnings report.

The idea we had was to track each set of contracts within the range of LULU Weekly $47-44.50 Puts for possible intraday swing-trade opportunities. It ultimately turned out to be an awesome call, with blockbuster moves being produced by every single set we’d highlighted.

$47 Puts  – Trading Range:  .19-2.01  – Max Gain: 958%
$46.50 Puts – Trading Range: .13-1.59   – Max Gain: 1123%
$46 Puts  – Trading Range: .09-1.25  – Max Gain: 1288%
$45.50 Puts – Trading Range: .10-.94   – Max Gain: 840%
$45 Puts  – Trading Range: .05-.75  – Max Gain: 1400%
$44.50 Puts – Trading Range: .05-.52   – Max Gain: 940%

Perhaps the most astonishing thing is that single-session gains of this magnitude have become commonplace for our options ideas, as anyone who has followed our reports for awhile can attest. It’s the primary reason behind our shift over the last couple of years as we’ve moved to split our focus between what we like to call quick-strike options trading, and securities trading. The integration of options trading has opened up a lot of doors for us on a consistent basis, and we expect that trend to continue indefinitely.

Premier Biomedical, Inc.  BIEI

We had just finished commenting on the big moves BIEI has been making in yesterday morning’s report, and once again the stock pushed to new highs in what amounted to a very bullish session.

So after witnessing a 121% run from .015-.0334 on Tuesday, we were treated to another big intraday pop as BIEI ran from .0305 to .0529; a solid 73%

We also put together a video illustrating various facets of the BIEI chart:

USA Restaurant Funding, Inc. USAR

USAR was tagged in yesterday’s premarket report on our extended watchlist, and it too produced a significant move on the day, gradually ramping up throughout the course of the afternoon and running into the close.

From a low of .0015 the stock fell just a tick shy of a double-bagger, reaching a new 52-week high of .0029. It marked an intraday performance that allowed maximum gains of up to 93%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options, MHRC Updates & More

Magnum Hunter Resources, Inc. MHRC

We’ll kick things off this morning by updating everyone as to the status of MHRC, which we placed in Monday’s premarket report as a bottom-watch play. We really couldn’t have timed our alert any better, and after registering a low of .021 Monday, the stock has made continuous progression throughout the week.

Yesterday, after seeing a low of .0257, MHRC ran as high as .0337, marking an intraday move of 31% As measured from our observed low on Monday, yesterday’s high represents a three-session swing of 60%

We’ll continue to remain interested in MHRC in sessions to come provided it continues to establish higher lows as it has been doing. As we’ve pointed out on the following chart snapshot, a number of factors lead us to believe that upside potential remains high with this play. The stock was beaten back vigorously earlier this month, and there are even a couple of gaps to fill on the chart.

Options Updates

We’d now like to update our readers on our options ideas from Tuesday, which included targets in the WMT and HD chains- Yesterday we stated our belief that action in WMT and HD stocks could provide options traders with further opportunities for swing trades and as it happened, we were right.

Walmart-Stores Inc. WMT – For WMT the bullish run continued, and some of the contracts we were observing recorded substantial intraday moves. Possible gains ranged from the $58 Weekly Calls, which traded in a range from 1.81-3.06, allowing for gains of up to 69%, to the $60’s which ran from .26 to 1.16 for a huge 316% rip.

___

The Home Depot, Inc HD executed a textbook dip-and-rip rallying into the close, and all of the contracts we originally signaled made big swings:

$123 Calls – Trading Range: 2.10-3.55  – Max Gain: 69%
$124 Calls – Trading Range: 1.30-2.55  – Max Gain: 96%
$125 Calls – Trading Range: .72-1.73 – Max Gain: 140%
$126 Calls – Trading Range: .33-.99 – Max Gain: 200%

Wednesday’s Other Notable Moves

In addition to the preceding plays, the following pair also made some solid intraday pushes after appearing in our morning report:

Axion Power International, Inc. AXPW turned in a nice intraday performance as it ran from a low of 1.10 to 1.60, for gains of up to 45% on nearly ten times its 30-day average volume.

Advanced Defense Technologies, Inc. ADCF ultimately ended taking a pounding into the close, but before that happened, it made a noteworthy pop straight out of the starting gate, running 39% from .0079 to .011.
