Friday’s Big Movers, 3 New Possibilities

Monday’s Movers, Trio of Fresh Ideas

Decent Start to the Trading Week:

We started off the week on a relatively quiet note yesterday, formulating just a pair of potential options plays that were not based on earnings, as the calendar was essentially empty on that front. We take what we can get around here, and each of the ideas in yesterday’s premarket report managed to produce notable intraday movement. The rest of the week should be better for us in terms of having more big name earnings reporters to work with.

As for yesterday’s winners, the WMT Weekly $155-157.50 Calls, and the BBY Weekly $69-70 Calls, here were the intraday runs and total possible profits that were on the table for traders:

WMT Weekly $155-157.50 Calls
$155:
 1.78-2.76 (+55%)
$157.50: .53-1.03 (+94%)
_____

BBY Weekly $69-70 Calls
$69: .52-1.09 (+110%)
$70: .25-.61 (+144%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SPY 11/28 $455-454 Puts*
PDD Weekly $132-134 Calls
ZS Weekly $185-182.50 Puts

*Trading options contracts on their day of expiration should only be attempted by experienced traders

Branded Legacy Inc. (OTCMKTS:BLEG) – Recap:

We began tagging BLEG in our extended watchlist on the 8th of this month, at which time the stock was trading for as little as .001. Yesterday, BLEG topped out at a new high of .0043, which marks an upswing of 420% in just under three weeks’ time.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PPCH Breakout & More

Propanc Health Group, Inc. PPCH

It didn’t require any patience on our part before we saw our bottom-watchlist from yesterday morning’s premarket report bear fruit. What we have in PPCH is an example of absolutely perfect timing.

After being mostly in a downtrend for a period that stretches all the way back to springtime, we ended up calling the bottom here with laser-like precision. The stock bulled its way up all day long, trading in a range from .008, through the penny barrier, and up to .017. That works out to an intraday pop of 112% and it came on nearly six times the monthly average volume.

The stock also managed to close just a tick below its high of day at .016, so we’re definitely going to be on the lookout for continued momentum. Yesterday wasn’t the first time we caught this play for triple-digit gains, and in all honesty, it probably won’t be the last.

Twitter, Inc. TWTR – Options Recap

In last Thursday’s morning report,  we presented an options idea for TWTR based on the setup of the chart; at the time it was trading in the mid-$18 range.

We put forth the TWTR 01/20 $19 and $20 Calls, to give ourselves the time needed to realize the upward move we suspected the stock would make, and it turned out to be another good idea. We saw a run to the mid-$19 level, and it facilitated the following performances in our target options:

01/20 $19 Calls – Range: .80-1.64 – Max Gain: 105%
01/20 $20 Calls – Range: .51-1.19 – Max Gain: 133%

Again, with that extended expiration date, we’ve still got all the time in the world to witness even further gains out of these contracts. That should start with with this morning’s opening bell, as TWTR is gapping up in the premarket once again.

Fresh Idea:

Lululemon Athletica, Inc. LULU – On the strength of a solid Q3 earnings release and the authorization of a $100M buyback program, LULU is looking strong, and we want to get in on the action by formulating a new options idea to correspond with the activity.

Yesterday the stock broke out of the channel, from roughly $54-58, that it had been stuck in for several weeks, so we’re going to be focusing our attention on the LULU Weekly $66.50-70 Calls.

MJP International Ltd. MJPI

We also want to recap the performance of another play from yesterday’s extended watchlist. MJPI appeared for the first time in our reports, and responded with a solid session.

From a low of .85 the stock traded as high as 1.18, marking a 39% pop on the day and like the aforementioned play, it too closed just a single increment below the high of day at 1.17, and will thus remain on our list going forward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GLBS Recap & More

Globus Maritime Ltd. GLBS – Update

GLBS was among the shipping sector plays that we were talking about in Friday morning’s premarket report, and it ultimately ended up being the most interesting one of the bunch. The sector as a whole seemed to be buzzing leading into Friday, and the activity that coincided in the GLBS chart, which made several tradeable swings on the day.

It started from the opening bell when the stock initially ran impressively from .66-1.63 for gains of up to 147% right off the bat. We then observed a pullback whereafter the stock bounced from .95 on up to the high of day at 1.78; that added an 87% rip. Subsequent to that, yet another dip and rip carried from .97-1.41, tacking on another 45% upswing.  In total, cumulative single-session gains for GLBS came in at 279% as the stock traded record volume.

We often search for plays with volatility of this magnitude because they can be excellent for quick intraday flips as GLBS demonstrated on Friday. We’ll be interested to see how it establishes itself as things get going this week. More opportunities may be on the horizon.

Bottom Watchlist

The following trio of stocks caught our interest off of our bottom-play scan this morning. In the case of RCPI we’ve got a stock that’s been steadily beaten back into heavily oversold territory, while BIOC and STX have both violently gapped down in recent sessions. We’ll have all three on extended watch for potential bounce-play opportunities.

Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. RCPI
Biocept Pharmaceuticals,Inc. BIOC
Seagate Technology Public Ltd. Co. STX

We’ve also included a conglomerate snapshot of all three charts:
