Fresh Big Name Earnings Plays

Another Solid Day for Options:

Wednesday brought another day of casting our nets for the most interesting options plays we could find, and once again we caught quite a few big fish. Four out of the five potential plays we had highlighted in our premarket report ended up producing notable intraday gain opportunities for us.

Those successful targets were the GS Weekly $335-330 Puts, the CVNA Weekly $52-54 Calls, the ELV Weekly $465-475 Calls, and the OMC Weekly $95-90 Puts, and here were the intraday moves and total possible profits for anyone who picked up on these ideas:

Friday Recap, Fresh Options Ideas

Friday’s Movers:

We got along quite well as we closed out the short trading week on Friday with a slate of four possible options plays, and saw gains ranging from good to great in three of those four targets. The markets got off to a bullish start, and after lunch hour, reversed track and fell into the close. That provided plenty of intraday activity to facilitate some very nice upswings in our daily targets.

We had the BABA Weekly $85-87 Calls, the RIVN Weekly $21.50-22.50 Calls, and the LEVI 07/21 $14-13 Puts all come through with the following intraday runs:

We also saw a decent intraday move out of GRRR, which we tagged in Friday’s extended watchlist. The stock ran from a low of 3.39 on up to a daily high of 5.79 which represented a rise of 71% on the day.

In an extremely rare occurrence, neither of the targets we were looking at in yesterday’s report turned in worthwhile performances on the day. We really can’t recall the last time that happened, if ever, but as we always say, nobody can win them all. Instead of reviewing those, we have updates on a handful of longer term plays that we’ve recently flagged.

We initially selected the PDCO 07/21 $31-33 Calls in our report on June 21st, the KBH 07/21 $50 Puts in the following day’s report, and the PAYX 07/21 $110-115 Calls on the morning of June 29th. Here are the figures on the upswings and new highs we’ve seen from these plays this week.

Closing Out a Short Yet Sweet Trading Week

Wednesday’s Options Runners:

We were running a little light yesterday with regard to the slate of earnings reporters from which we had to choose some daily options plays, but that didn’t stop us from producing a pair of solid runners on the day in our premarket report. Both of the ideas we ventured possible targets in, recorded some significant intraday movement for us in a positive direction.

Our areas of interest were the SMPL 04/21 $40-35 Puts, and the DLO 04/21 $16-15 Puts, and while the potential gains they produced weren’t life-changing, they were certainly very respectable, as they put up the following figures for the session:

We hope everyone had a Happy New Year and a pleasant long weekend, and are all set to hit the ground running. We’re ready to give everything we’ve got to make 2023 every bit as exciting as 2022, and more! We’re going to kick things off this morning by going over the performances on a couple sets of longer-term options ideas we formulated a couple of weeks ago.

From our reports on December 20th and 22nd, respectively, we’ve been tracking the PLAY 01/20 $35-36 Calls and the PAYX 01/20 $115-120 Calls. The Paychex calls in particular have posted some serious multibag gains over that time span. With still more than two weeks remaining until their expiration, both sets of ideas have made pretty good headway indeed, posting the following moves and total possible profits so far:

Silo Pharma, Inc. SILO – NASDAQ Recap:

We included SILO on our watchlist in Friday morning’s premarket report, and were pleased with the single session move it made from 4.64-6.56. That works out to an intraday rise of 41% which is a pretty respectable rip for a $4+ NASDAQ stock. Our extended watchlists typically contain a mix of both big board and OTC stocks.
