Solid Stock and Options Calls

Myovant Sciences Ltd. MYOV

In yesterday morning’s premarket report, we included MYOV in our Extended Watchlist for the day. It was a stroke of perfect timing, as it would end up the day’s top traded play on the NASDAQ.

The stock had been trading in a lackluster fashion for an extended time period, but the company’s revelation of completed prostate cancer treatment trials and plans to submit to the FDA, helped generate some really nice activity in the stock that is spilling over into the premarket today.

We’ve seen two distinct swings thus far, with MYOV first running from 12.64-17.16 (+36%) yesterday, before pulling back to 10.37. In the premarket this morning it has surged back to 15.31, a 48% upswing. We’ll be eager to continue tracking this interesting activity.

Kohls Corp. KSS

We also had a range of bearish options ideas in the Kohl’s chain in yesterday morning’s newsletters, and thanks to a poor showing on earnings, we saw deep decline in KSS stock despite the fact that we are headed into the thick of retail season.

Our ideas were the Kohls Corp. KSS Weekly $53.50-51 Puts, which put forth the following gain opportunities on the day:

$53 Calls – Range: 3.07-5.92 – Max Gain: 93%
$52.50 Calls – Range: 2.80-5.30 – Max Gain: 89%
$52 Calls – Range: 2.64-5.00  – Max Gain: 89%
$51.50 Calls – Range: 2.10-4.30 – Max Gain: 105%
$51 Calls – Range: 1.80-4.00  – Max Gain: 122%

Tons of Fresh Trading Ideas

Facebook, Inc. FB – Recap

One of our fresh options trading ideas from yesterday morning’s premarket report was for the Facebook chain, on the heels of the company’s Q3 earnings and revenue beat.

We were tracking the FB Weekly $190-195 Calls, and all three of those contract sets produced opportunities for traders to get in and out with some very nice gains. Here are the figures on this successful daytrading idea:

$53 Calls – Range: 3.10-5.52 – Max Gain: 78%
$53.50 Calls – Range: 1.75-3.45 – Max Gain: 97%
$54 Calls – Range: .87-1.87 – Max Gain: 115%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DRI Recap & More

General Mills, Inc. GS

First up today, we are taking a look at General Mills following the company’s solid quarterly figures on earnings and profits released here in the premarket.

The stock itself has gotten badly beaten up recently, as have most stocks in what is shaping up to be a very turbulent finish to 2018. However, the strong numbers reported could be just the catalyst to effect a convincing reversal. We’re going to be waiting in the wings with our eye on the GIS Weekly $37.50 Calls to try to take advantage of the situation.

Darden Restaurants, Inc. DRI

We highlighted some calls in the DRI chain yesterday, the DRI Weekly $95-105 Calls. Of those three sets of contracts, we got some very nice activity from two out of the three. While the $95’s were too far in the money, the $100’s and the $105’s fared quite well.

The $100 Calls traded up from a low of 2.85 and hit an even 5.00 for a gain of 75% and the  $105’s surged from .65-1.60, producing a gain opportunity of up to 146%

Extended Watchlist:
DFFN, OHRP, ADIL, HEAR, YUMA, CCJ, TROV, ZYNE, RIOT,
MU($31-32 Calls)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SPY Puts

SPDR S&P500 ETF (SPY)

With a bearish market pattern continuing to emerge, we have to be ready to roll with the punches as best we can and use whatever momentum we can find, whether it’s upward or downward. Traditionally, the SPY has been our go-to in these kinds of instances.

It was just Tuesday morning that we signaled a range of five SPY Calls, which all produced big-time gain opportunities this midweek, ranging from 184-245% Now, with the markets looking to pull back once again, we’ll hop right to the other side of the fence and zero in on some SPY Puts to close out the week.

The targets that we’re going to be monitoring today are going to be the SPY Weekly $263.50-262 Puts*, which should work out nicely for possible quick-strike daytrades in the event that the premarket trends we’re observing do persist.

*NEVER trade options with a weekly expiration on a Friday unless you are an advanced level trader working with disposable funds.

Extended Watchlist:
ALQA, SGMS, EYES, DFFN, BEL, WPM

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: OREX Recap & More

Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. OREX

On a day like yesterday, when the markets take an unexpected and brutal bath, it always helps to find a trend-bucker. Fortunately for us, all was not lost because we had included OREX on our watchlist in our premarket report.

Even as most other stocks wavered under the intensity of yesterdays bearish push, OREX ran from a daily low of .23 to a high of .39 for a 70% intraday run. It also closed with strength at .34, not too far below the area of a massive gap on the chart. We’ll definitely want to continue monitoring OREX, as even a partial filling of said gap would produce further gains of a significant magnitude.
