Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DIS Options

The Walt Disney Co. DIS

The first thing on the menu this morning is to take a look at Disney on the heels of ESPN+ securing US broadcast rights to Bundesliga soccer from 2020 to 2026.

The stock is already exhibiting a fairly solid double bottom formation. What we want to see is DIS holding above the 200DMA of 125.98, and if it can manage that, we’re going to be very interested in the DIS 11/08 $133-136 Calls.

Atreca, Inc. BCEL

We also want to radar BCEL, which is a bottom-play candidate for us as we kick off this fresh trading week. The stock nearing the 3-month mark since its IPO, and is not trading far off of its records lows at the moment.

We’re going to want to keep an eye on this play for a potential reversal ion the days and weeks ahead. The stock had a swing of over 100% last month near these levels, so we will be interested to watch and see if it can repeat itself.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NTNX Update & More

Nutanix, Inc. NTNX

We began highlighting NTNX just a week ago in our report from the morning of March 12th. On that day the stock saw a low of 35.20, as we signaled the NTNX 05/19 $40-42.50 Calls for longer-term observation.

We wanted to provide an update on both the stock and our options targets this morning, as NTNX has produced a very solid and steady uptrend since the morning of our initial alert. Yesterday, NTNX ran to a new high of 42.21. That marked a 1-week increase of 20% and it allowed for some nice moves in our highlighted contracts.

The $40 Calls have thus far traded in a range from 1.96 to 4.20 for a gain of 114% while the $42.50’s ran from 1.21-2.85, an increase of 136% NTNX is only halfway to filling the topside gap on itas chart, and there’s plenty of time remaining until expiration. We’ll be interested to see if the stock can pile on even more gains.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Ford Options Recap & More

Ford Motor Co. F

Back on February 12th, we flagged Ford as a bottom watch play after the company got off to a bad start in 2018. It had just begun to show signs of life, so we formulated an options idea to help us take advantage of the scenario.

Our targets were the F 03/02 10.37-11.37 Calls and we’ve seen some solid opportunities from three of the four contracts in that range in the two weeks since our alert.

$10.37 Calls – Range: .31-.55 – Max Gain: 77%
$10.87 Calls – Range: .04-.12 – Max Gain: 200%
$11 Calls – Range:.02-.07 – Max Gain: 250%

Target Corp. TGT

Yesterday morning we saw an opportunity to select a range of calls in the Target options chain, and decided to focus on the TGT Weekly $75-76.50 Calls for a fresh options idea. It was an immediate success, with TGT trading up enough to produce some really nice single-session swings.

$75 Calls – Range: 1.42-2.42 – Max Gain: 70%
$75.50 Calls – Range: 1.03-1.92 – Max Gain: 86%
$76 Calls – Range: .85-1.64 – Max Gain: 93%
$76.50 Calls – Range: .80-1.31 – Max Gain: 64%

Dean Foods Co. DF

We also want to put DF on our watchscreens as a bottom-watch play. The stock got absolutely crushed as a result of missed earnings and revenue estimates in its Q4 report, along with a  downgrade by Credit Suisse.

These events have driven DF into heavily oversold territory, registering a new 52-week low. The stock also has a history of relatively volatile swings, so we’re going to watch closely for the beginnings of a bottom bounce in sessions ahead. It may have further to fall, but we’ll be looking for that rebound.
