Blue Horseshoe Stocks: KOOL, TIF Recaps & More

Endocyte, Inc. ECYT

We initially took notice of ECYT on Monday morning just as the company announced it had completed a worldwide license for its prostate cancer treatment now moving into Phase-3 development.

The stock made a solid 130% rip from 1.63 to 3.75 that morning, but it was only just getting started. Yesterday morning the stock ran hard once again, reaching its peak at a new annual high of 6.55. That puts the total on our two-day observed increased of 302% while volume over the same period has been literally hundreds of times greater than the monthly average prior to Monday’s bombshell PR.

Tiffany & Co. TIF – Options Update

As we were just mentioning yesterday morning, we’ve been tracking the TIF 10/20 $92-93 Calls since the morning of September 28th. TIF stock has maintained its gradual ascent since that time, and with that, we’ve seen the potential gains made off of our ideas grow along with it.

The following ranges represent the lows from the 28th to the highs achieved during yesterday’s session:

$92 Calls – Range: 1.00-2.20 – Max Gain: 120%
$92.50 Calls – Range: .85-2.19  – Max Gain: 158%.
$93 Calls – Range: .83-2.15 – Max Gain: 159%

Cesca Therapeutics Inc. KOOL

After including KOOL in yesterday morning’s watchlist, we watched as the stock made a very nice intraday run on the chart with the help of some positive news.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued a Notice of Allowance on the company’s patent application for its proprietary method for separating target cells from blood, marrow, and other sources.

That prompted a solid boost from 3.96 to 6.44 on the day, marking an intraday push of 63% which was accompanied by the trading of 223X more shares than the monthly average!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ECYT Recap & More

Endocyte, Inc. ECYT

We took notice of ECYT yesterday morning during our routine premarket scan, and due to some abnormal activity, we decided to include it in the daily watchlist.

It turned out to be a splendid idea, with the stock ultimately recording a hugely bullish session. ECYT traded from its low of 1.63 just following the open, to its high of 3.75 just prior to the close. It worked out to a single-session rip of 130% and it came on over 180X the monthly average volume. The stock has also hit a new high of 6.07 in the premarket this morning, pushing our observed move in less than 24 hours to a whopping 272%

It was especially impressive because of the timing, which couldn’t have been any better. Prior to yesterday’s session the stock was stagnating for several months. The move was catalyzed primarily by the announcement of the completion of a worldwide license on the company’s prostate cancer treatment, which will be moving on to Phase III development. Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. RIGL

Speaking of solidly-timed calls on pharma plays, we also caught RIGL and included it in yesterday’s premarket report. It didn’t see the type of move that the previously mentioned stock, but got off to a respectable start.

RIGL traded in a range from 2.85-3.42, a modest rise of 20%, but did so on nearly 17X the monthly average volume, and closed near its high of day. We’ll continue to observe this play to see if it can establish a sustained uptrend.

Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. CAPR

We were just updating our readers yesterday morning on the moves CAPR had made since we had alerted it onSeptember 20th from its low of 1.80.

What followed was another nice session for the stock, which ran to a new high of 4.25; a total increase of 136% in a span of just eight trading days.

Tiffany & Co. TIF – Options Update

We also want to quickly update readers on our TIF options ideas that we submitted on the morning of September 28th, the TIF 10/20 $92-93 Calls. The stock has been in a continuous bullish pattern since then, and those calls made some pretty nice gains in the process.

$92 Calls – Range: 1.00-2.13 – Max Gain: 113%
$92.50 Calls – Range: .85-1.74  – Max Gain: 105%.
$93 Calls – Range: .83-1.88 – Max Gain: 127%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CAPR, VYGR, HMNY Recaps & More

Recent Big Winners

We have a large group of updates on previously called plays that we wanted to briefly swing back around and report performance information on this morning:

Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. VYGR – We alerted on VYGR on the 6th of September, witnessing a low of 12.33 and after finishing the rest of the month on a bullish streak, Friday brought a new high of 22.28. That’s a three week swing of 81%, which is fantastic for a stock in this price range.
______

Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. CAPR – We signaled our interest in CAPR later on in September,on the 20th. The following day we observed a low of 1.80, and like the above-mentioned play, it never looked back. Friday’s new high of 3.05, represented a 69% increase in just over a week’s time.
______

Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc. HMNY – We’ve discussed this one quite a bit recently, also beginning on September 20th. That morning  we saw a low of 5.469, and once again, it has been nothing but bullish moves ever since. On Friday the stock hit 14.17, marking a fantastic move of 159% in a little over a week.

Blackberry Ltd. BBRY – Options Recap

We also wanted to provide the final figures on the BBRY options we signaled in Thursday’s premarket report, the BBRY Weekly $9.50 & $10 Calls.  Friday’s session brought new highs for both sets.

The final intraweek range on the $9.50 Calls ended up being from .37 to 1.81 for a gain of 389%, while the $10’s breached the ten-bagger mark with an extraordinary run of 1025% from .12-1.35. Even readers who just caught Friday morning’s mention of these plays could still have made single-session profits of up to 103% and 202%, respectively.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: APC Review & More

Versartis, Inc. VSAR

It isn’t just bullish activity that draws us to a stock. Any type of increase in volatility generally causes us to take note, and the rapid fashion in which VSAR is crashing this morning is about as volatile as it gets. The company failed to meet primary endpoints on its HGH study, and the stock fell through the floor, losing over 80% of its value thus far.

Regardless of the catalyst, whenever such a huge selloff occurs in such a hurried way, we go into bottom-watch mode, and wait for the eventual bounce. So we’ll have VSAR on our radars moving forward, watching for signs of solid support and subsequent rebound.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. APC

The announcement of an enormous 10% share reduction via buyback program had exactly the effect we suspected it would yesterday, after we signaled a range of calls to observe in our premarket report.

Those targets were the APC 09/29 $47-48.50 Calls and each of them made a move to the upside. We also mentioned we’d be watching them beyond yesterday’s session, and sure enough the stock appears to want to gap up this morning and add to the gains we’ve already witnessed, which were as follows:

$47 Calls – Range: 1-1.60 – Max Gain: 60%
$47.50 Calls – Range: 1.29-1.40 – Max Gain: 9%
$48 Calls – Range:.62-.95 – Max Gain: 53%
$48.50 Calls – Range: .50-.83 – Max Gain: 66%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CAPR Recap & More

Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. CAPR

We included CAPR in yesterday’s premarket watchlist after noticing some abnormal volume and price action in the stock during the previous session. Prior to that it had been trading sideways for more than a month.

It turns out our alert came just in the nick of time, because yesterday CAPR exploded for its largest single-session spike in years. The stock opened at 1.50 and managed to run as high as 2.65, filling a good portion of the large gap on its chart, left in May. It came out to an intraday push of 77% which came on monstrous volume of just under 80 times the monthly average.

SPDR S&P500 ETF (SPY)

We discussed tracking the SPY Weekly $249.50 & $250 Calls as conditions appeared favorable to another bullish day for the market in general. The fund made a pretty solid move during the session, and that produced some decent opportunities in our designated contracts.

The $249.50’s traded from .55 to a high of .83 (+51%), while the $250’s did slightly better with a run from .29 to .49 (+69%) just before lunch hour.

Helios and Matheson Analytics, Inc. HMNY

We last tagged HMNY on August 15th, and after a solid run, the stock went under consolidation for a few weeks. However, the downturn ended at the end of last week and the move it’s made since has been pretty impressive.

HMNY saw a low of 2.42 on Thursday, and yesterday the stock achieved a new high of 6.40. That represents a four -session upswing of 164% while volume over the same period has been significantly increased.

HTG Molecular Diagnostics, Inc. HTGM

We’re interested to track HTGM today after the company announced the issuance of two method patents on its technology. We’re seeing a moderate gap-up in the premarket, but there still appears to be the good chance for a solid upside here. The stock does have a recent history containing a huge spike to more than $12.

We’ll place it on watch, and look for it to establish a string of sessions recording higher highs and higher lows moving forward.
