Blue Horseshoe Stocks: More Big Wins, Bottom-Play

Friday’s Big Wins

We continue to pepper our readers’ inboxes with options ideas almost every day, and Friday’s report was no different. We featured a pair of fresh ideas in the ROKU and TTD chains, and hit the nail on the head with both of them to close out another solid week with strength!

The following single-session gain opportunities were there for the taking after both stocks had productive sessions on the heels of their earnings reports. TTD and ROKU took the 3rd and 6th top gainer spots, respectively, for the whole of the NASDAQ on Friday.  Out of eight sets of contracts, all eight recorded multi-bag runs on the day, with the ROKU moves being considerably more impressive.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NBEV Recap & More

New Age Beverages Inc. NBEV

Our first order of business this morning is to rehash the performance of NBEV this week, subsequent to our initial alert on the play on Tuesday morning. It was enough of a heads-up to catch the stock at its weekly low of 1.53, which has given way to new highs after a pair of very strong outings.

Yesterday NBEV reached a new high of 2.40, which marks a two-session swing amounting to a respectable 57% We’ll be sure to continue to monitor the situation in the event that the stock parlays its strong start to the short week into an equally convincing finish.

Despite then closing below, the stock has been rebolstered in the premarket, having already traded back as high as yesterday’s peak at 2.40. If this stock can break through the channel of resistance between 2.40-2.58, we could see some more very interesting activity from this play.

Fresh Options Ideas:

We’ve got an earnings related options idea with GIII this morning, and are also taking note of the chart setups on FB and TWTR, which are presently exhibiting double bottom formations as they search for solid support. Each also has a gap to the upside, so we’re going to signal some extended term ideas to track.

GIII 09/21 $45 & 50
FB 10/12 $182.50-190 Calls
TWTR 10/12 $35-37.50 Calls

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AYTU Update & More

Aytu BioScience, Inc. AYTU Yesterday morning, we were just discussing AYTU and the modest progress the stock had made since we flagged it as a bottom play in Wednesday’s premarket report. Not only had it displayed a cherry bottom setup, but we noted a string of insider buysat the time as well.Following that report, we would witness a low of .4118, and over the course of the ensuing four trading days, the stock has made a noteworthy move and continues to exhibit signs that more gains could be in store.

Yesterday it reached .61, which represents a run of 48% in under a week. It did so on record volume, so we’re definitely eager to see where the momentum could carry this play that was already on its way back up.

InspireMD, Inc. NSPR

NSPR has been in real trouble in 2018, losing ground at seemingly every turn and unable to get out of its own way. However, through a combination of a South American breakthrough announcement for two of the companies drugs, and being just plain oversold, we’re seeing a marginal premarket gap-up and will want to observe for a more sustained rebound.

The news was pertaining to NSPR receiving regulatory approval from the goverment of Peru for its CGuard™ Embolic Prevention System (EPS) and MGuard Prime™ products. Peru has a population of more than 30 million people. (>>View PR)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CAPR Recap & More

Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. CAPR

We included CAPR in yesterday’s premarket watchlist after noticing some abnormal volume and price action in the stock during the previous session. Prior to that it had been trading sideways for more than a month.

It turns out our alert came just in the nick of time, because yesterday CAPR exploded for its largest single-session spike in years. The stock opened at 1.50 and managed to run as high as 2.65, filling a good portion of the large gap on its chart, left in May. It came out to an intraday push of 77% which came on monstrous volume of just under 80 times the monthly average.

SPDR S&P500 ETF (SPY)

We discussed tracking the SPY Weekly $249.50 & $250 Calls as conditions appeared favorable to another bullish day for the market in general. The fund made a pretty solid move during the session, and that produced some decent opportunities in our designated contracts.

The $249.50’s traded from .55 to a high of .83 (+51%), while the $250’s did slightly better with a run from .29 to .49 (+69%) just before lunch hour.

Helios and Matheson Analytics, Inc. HMNY

We last tagged HMNY on August 15th, and after a solid run, the stock went under consolidation for a few weeks. However, the downturn ended at the end of last week and the move it’s made since has been pretty impressive.

HMNY saw a low of 2.42 on Thursday, and yesterday the stock achieved a new high of 6.40. That represents a four -session upswing of 164% while volume over the same period has been significantly increased.

HTG Molecular Diagnostics, Inc. HTGM

We’re interested to track HTGM today after the company announced the issuance of two method patents on its technology. We’re seeing a moderate gap-up in the premarket, but there still appears to be the good chance for a solid upside here. The stock does have a recent history containing a huge spike to more than $12.

We’ll place it on watch, and look for it to establish a string of sessions recording higher highs and higher lows moving forward.
