Blue Horsesehoe Stocks: New Highs on DCTH & More

Delcath Systems, Inc. DCTH

We brought DCTH back into the fold in yesterday morning’s premarket report, and it wasn’t a moment too soon. We mentioned our prior alert on the stock from last Monday. after which we would see a low of .0413 and subsequent run to a dime leading into yesterday’s session.

Then things really kicked into motion, with DCTH ripping its way from a daily low of .1037 all the way up to a whopping thirty cents! That worked out to an intraday bull run of 189% and extended our overall observed range from last Tuesday’s low to a mammoth 626%

That range has been extended even further to 745% in the premarket this morning as DCTH has hit a new high of .349. Unsurprisingly, volume over this period of huge gains has also been extremely heavy. We’ll continue to monitor DCTH in the hopes that it can sustain this fantastic multi-day run.

Vivint Solar, Inc. VSLR

In addition to including a remind tag on VSLR in yesterday’s report, we initially alerted this play on May 18th, and it’s been nothing but smooth sailing since then, en route to some pretty nice gains.

On the morning of the 18th VSLR touched a low of 2.75 and it never looked back. Yesterday, it managed a new high of 5.30, which represents a move of 93% over the course of roughly a month’s time. The sudden extra boost it received this week coul be due, in part, to a Goldman Sachs upgrade from Neutral to Buy on the stock and the raising of the price target to $6.

Adobe Systems Inc. ADBE – Options Idea

Adobe had its Q2 earnings call yesterday post-market, and blew expectations on the Street out of the water. As a result the stock is gapping up considerably this morning in the premarket, and we’d like to have an options idea ready and waiting to take advantage of the commotion.

We’ll radar the ABDE 06/30 $147 & $148 Calls and track them over the remainder of this week and possibly into the next.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Huge VRX Calls, New Ideas & More

Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Inc. VRX

Our latest round of VRX Calls will almost certainly go down as one of our best three-day swings on any idea we’ve ever formulated. Beginning on Tuesday when we offered up the VRX Weekly $10.50-12 Calls as a target range. That day the stock traded as low as 10.57 before beginning this epic run that facilitated some truly impressive gains. VRX continued to bull its way to new highs yesterday, hitting 14.55, which in itself represents a 38% rise over Tuesday’s low.

Just like we did in yesterday’s premarket report, we’ve included the intraday moves, as well as our overall observed gains.

$10.50 Calls – Daily Range: 1.95-3.89 – Daily Gain: 118% – Total Range: .40-3.89 – 3-Day Swing: 873%
$11 Calls – Daily Range: 1.46-3.50 – Daily Gain: 140% – Total Range: .18-3.50 – 3-Day Swing: 1844%
$11.50 Calls – Daily Range: 1.27-2.99 – Daily Gain: 135% – Total Range: .08-2.99 – 3-Day Swing: 3638%
$12 Calls – Daily Range: .51-2.51 – Daily Gain: 392% – Total Range: .02-2.51 – 3-Day Swing: 12450%

A hearty congratulations goes out to anyone who took advantage of one of our best ideas of the year so far!

Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. NAK

Following our alerts on the stock in March at which time we stated that we believed there was “serious upside potential” for NAK, the stock has proven our assumption to be accurate. It has lived up to that potential as well in recent week, and this morning we’re seeing the stock gapping up to new highs in the premarket today with shares changing hands for as much as 2.60.

From the 1.06 low we observed in March, that represents a roughly two-month upswing of 145%

Today’s heightened activity likely stems from the new announcement the company made via PR this morning. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Alaska-based Pebble Limited Partnership, and the US Environmental Protection Agency have reached a settlement agreement with respect to the parties’ longstanding legal dispute.

Under the terms of the settlement agreement, EPA has agreed the Pebble Project can proceed into normal course permitting under the Clean Water Act and National Environmental Policy Act. (>View Full PR)

Snap, Inc. SNAP – Options Ideas

SNAP took a pounding yesterday after releasing earnings that many are referring to as a disaster, but is recovering in the premarket today. We want to try to signal a range of calls to coincide with what could be a significant course-correct.

We’re looking at the SNAP Weekly $18 Calls* for quick daytrading opportunities, as well as the SNAP 6/16 $18-19 Calls for a longer-term recovery idea.

Bonus Idea: AZN $32-33.50 Weekly Calls*

*Never attempt to trade weekly options on a Friday unless you are a highly experienced trader- it’s an exceedingly risky proposition.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DLTR Recap & More

Dollar Tree, Inc. DLTR – Options Update

Yesterday turned out to be a nice bullish session for DLTR, making us glad we added it as a focus in our premarket report. No sooner than we updated our readers on the DLTR options ideas we submitted in last Wednesday‘s premarket report, did they take off to new highs once again.

The DLTR 04/21 $78-80 Calls had already provided us with double-bag gain chances, but yesterday’s activity pushed those figures a lot higher. The following numbers represent the maximum possible gains so far over the last six trading sessions:

$78 Calls – Range: .51-2.05 – Max Gain: 301%
$78.50 Calls – Range: .63-2.05 – Max Gain: 225%
$79 Calls – Range:  .48-1.43 – Max Gain: 198%
$79.50 Calls – Range: .35-1.40- Max Gain: 300%
$80 Calls – Range: .30-1.34 – Max Gain: 347%

We can continue to keep these contracts on our radar, with more than three weeks remaining until their expiration date.

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Update

Another set of 04/21 options contracts that we’ve been tracking have also fared well, tacking on new highs yesterday,

We slated the PBR 04/21 $9.50 & $10 Calls for observation a week ago today, and must now swing back around to highlight the excellent moves these plays have made in a week’s time.

04/21 $9.50 Calls – Range: .18-.51 – Max Gain: 183%
04/21 $10 Calls – Range: .09-.27 – Max Gain: 200%

As stated on the above mentioned play, these contracts have more than three weeks before expiration, so we’ll continue to keep tracking their activity in coming sessions. Yesterday the stock closed just under the 200DMA of 9.69, and we’ll remain bullish on these ideas if the stock can break past that barrier.

Sphere 3D Corp. ANY

We want to make mention of ANY this morning after noticing a set of interesting circumstances. Just a few days following the closing of a $4.5M direct offering/ private placement, the company has now announced it has been awarded a $3M contract  (>>View PR)

All of this activity on the newsreel is happening concurrently with a potential reversal and rebound on the chart. The stock has been failing to satisfy its $1.00 minimum bid requirement for the better part of nine months now, and will need to get itself back above that mark or it could face delisting after just three years on the NASDAQ.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Fresh Options Ideas, LEXG & More

Lithium Exploration Group, Inc. LEXG

We’ve been tracking the activity in LEXG for quite a time, and the volatility and price action in this play has provided for us on more than one occasion.

Yesterday was yet another of those occasions, with the stock putting in a solid performance. LEXG traded in a range from .0036-.0045, an intraday move of 25% which came on a little over thrice the monthly average volume.

The moves we’ve seen since putting LEXG on watch in December have been significantly more impressive as well. We saw a low of .0013 around the holidays, putting our overall observed increase in just over three weeks at 246%

Options Ideas

We’ve been so wrapped up in tracking various stocks over the first couple weeks of 2017, that the following will be our first options ideas of the year!

Netflix, Inc. NFLX –  NFLX has been generally trending upward for around two months, hitting new all-time highs this week. Yesterday’s earnings and updates, including the fact that the streaming giant had added a record 7 million new subscribers over the last quarter.

We want to potentially take advantage of a continued run, even if its preceded by a dip-and-rip pattern. As long as it holds support above the $139 mark, we’re going to interested in tracking the NFLX Weekly  $139-143 Calls.

_____

Tesla Motors, Inc. TSLA – TSLA is another big board stock that has been on a bullish tear of late. The stock has been stacking gains on top of gains over the past 6 weeks.

This morning, it received an upgrade from Morgan Stanley, and we’ll hope to use that added attention to see some more good moves in the stock. Accordingly, we’ll have the TSLA Weekly $240-245 Calls on watch today and tomorrow.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NKE Review & More

NIKE, Inc. NKE – Options Update

Yesterday we brought a grouping of NKE options ideas to the table following a post-market options beat the previous day.

Despite the slow market conditions that are to be expected of a week leading into the year-end holidays, we felt that NKE was set to provide some opportunities, and we weren’t disappointed.

Our targets for “daytrades and/or swing trades” were the NKE Weekly $52.50-54 Calls and it appears as if both notions will turn out to be correct, with the stock looking like it could post another strong session today. As for the daytrades that were possible yesterday, we saw the most notable moves out of three sets of contracts in our highlighted range:

$52.50 Calls – Range: .15-.38 – Max Gain: 153%
$53 Calls – Range: .07-.21 – Max Gain: 200%
$29 Calls – Range: .03-.09 – Max Gain: 200%

ERF Wireless, Inc. ERFB

We want to provide a quick update on ERFB this morning, which we highlighted in last Friday’s premarket repot.  The stock saw a subsequent low of .0013 following that alert, and as of yesterday it had pushed as high as .0079.

That worked out to a 508% intraweek move up, so we want to say congrats to anyone who took this subpenny popper for a ride on the heels of last week’s tag.

Potential Bottom-Plays

We found a pair of stocks this morning that are both trading near their relative bottoms, with strong indications of impending rebounds on both of the charts.

Imprimis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. IMMY
& Ideal Power, Inc. IPWR

In addition to a ripe-looking chart, IMMY has seen some insider buying of late. A recent Form-4 filing revealed a significant buy ($280K) from CEO Mark Baum, who, coincidentally enough, also serves on the board of IPWR. We’re going to keep both of these stocks on recovery watch in the days and weeks ahead.
