Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ETSY Recap, New Ideas

Etsy, Inc. ETSY – Update

Yesterday morning, we floated a couple of fresh options ideas, as we have become accustomed to doing, and ETSY was one of those ideas. We signaled our interest in the ETSY 03/15 $60-65 Calls, and while they didn’t exactly set the world on fire, we did see some very nice first-day gain opportunities from that idea.

The $60 Calls traded in a range from 6.39-10.20 on the day, marking a move of 60% The $65’s fared marginally better, putting up a run from 3.49 to 6.42, which marked a rise of 84% Those were some modest, yet very respectable single-session rips, and with nearly three weeks remaining before they expire, we’ll go ahead and keep these plays on our radar going forward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FTNW Ripping & More

Unity Group, Inc. UNIT

To kick off the fresh trading week yesterday, we tagged quite a large number of stocks in our Extended Watchlist, including UNIT with the note ‘Bottom-Watch’ attached. The stock had been absolutely pummeled in previous sessions, and a rebound appeared imminent.

We didn’t have to wait any time at all for that bounce to occur, with the stock posting a heck of an intraday performance. From a low of 8.29, UNIT surged its way up to a daily high of 11.5. That marks a very solid first-day performance for this play amounting to a gain of 37% We will continue to track the stock for further gains as the week the progresses.

General Electric Co. GE

We also wanted to recap the recent performance of GE. We mentioned this play shortly after the new year on January 8th, and observed a low of 8.18 the following day. Since then,we’ve seen fairly steady growth out of the stock, as it has run from that low up to a new high of 11.75 yesterday.

That represents an overall increase of 47% in roughly 7 weeks’ time. GE also just cracked its 200DMA yesterday, with the RSI about to head into the power zone, so we’ll want to continue our monitoring of its activity in coming sessions as well.

FTE Networks, Inc. FTNW

After being in a general downtrend since June, we’re seeing some sparks of life from FTNW, which is roaring up off of its 52-week lows as a result of announcing over $115M in new contracts. We are going to place this on our radar and strap in for what could be an impressive push off of its bottom.

Up considerably in the premarket, there are resistance areas roughly around $4, $6 and $10, and FTNW has the potential to crack some or all of those levels with the surge off of this latest news.

Friday’s Big Wins

We continue to pepper our readers’ inboxes with options ideas almost every day, and Friday’s report was no different. We featured a pair of fresh ideas in the ROKU and TTD chains, and hit the nail on the head with both of them to close out another solid week with strength!

The following single-session gain opportunities were there for the taking after both stocks had productive sessions on the heels of their earnings reports. TTD and ROKU took the 3rd and 6th top gainer spots, respectively, for the whole of the NASDAQ on Friday.  Out of eight sets of contracts, all eight recorded multi-bag runs on the day, with the ROKU moves being considerably more impressive.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Closing Out a Strong Week

Kandi Technologies Group Inc. KNDI – Recap

On Wednesday morning, we were looking at a pair of contracts in the KNDI options chain. We did see multi-bag gains out of those as mentioned in yesterday’s morning report, but perhaps just as big of a story is the move that KNDI stock itself managed in the two sessions since that alert.

From a low of 7.16 Wednesday morning, to yesterday’s high of 9.21, KNDI has managed to rattle off a 29% session-over-session increase. That’s a heck of a two-day swing for a $7+ stock, and will keep our interest as we close out the week.

This move was catalyzed by the US approval of two of the Chinese company’s electric vehicles.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the domestic go-ahead to KNDI’s Model EX3 and Model K22 electric cars.

Dominos Pizza, Inc. DPZ – Recap

We went bearish with some Dominos Puts yesterday, following a particularly bad quarterly release by the company in yesterday’s premarket earnings dump. Earning and revs were big misses, with same store sales making only a marginal jump.

We signaled our interest in tracking the DPZ Weekly $270-260 Puts and both of those sets of contracts recorded solid intraday moves to the upside, of which traders could have taken advantage. The $270 Puts ran from 12.02 to 20.50, marking a 71% rip, while the $260 surged even more, trading in a range from 4.99-12.84 for an intraday gain of 177%

Fresh Options Ideas – In addition to continuing to keep an eye on the previously mentioned plays, we will also add to the pool with another couple of ideas today. In these cases we are going to go bearish.

Domino’s whiffed on earnings and revenue in its premarket release today, while same-store sales increased only slightly. Meanwhile, the high profile injury to Duke basketball player Zion Williamson last night caused by a Nike shoe malfunction, has the potential to have a deleterious effect on Nike’s stock in the near term.
