Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Success & More

Options Success

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Options  -We signaled a range of options contracts on NFLX in yesterday’s premarket report, citing the earnings beat of the previous afternoon. We specifically mentioned that we were looking out for a dip-and-rip formation on the chart and the stock produced a classic example of such. NFLX’s big day, which ultimately facilitated those multi-bag profit opportunities, was fueled by an impressive 5 million new subscribers to the Netflix streaming service.

Right out of the gate, it dipped briefly to the high $175 area before going on an hours-long bullish push to the upper $184’s. That activity led to some really nice gains in our highlighted options, the NFLX Weekly $172.50-180 Calls:

$172.50 Calls – Range: 3.80-12.75 – Max Gain: 236%
$175 Calls – Range: 2.50-10.50 – Max Gain: 320%
$177.50 Calls – Range: 1.40-8.30– Max Gain: 493%
$180 Calls – Range: .85-6.42 – Max Gain: 655%

_______

Nutanix, Inc. NTNX – We also want to circle back to recap the moves made by an options idea we included in Friday morning’s report. NTNX continued to climb yesterday, and so the NTNX 7/21 $20-25 Calls we signaled have turned up some really nice moves.

$20 Calls – Range: 1.65-3.90 – Max Gain: 136%
$22.50 Calls – Range: .40-1.56 – Max Gain: 290%
$25 Calls – Range: .05-.28 – Max Gain: 460%

Yesterday’s Movers

We also had a number of the stocks that we highlighted in yesterday’s report yield chances for solid gains, and of them gave us a reason to look out for further moves:

Caprico Therapeutics, Inc. CAPR – The biggest gainer of the day from our mentions and on the NASDAQ itself, CAPR traded in a range from a low of .901, on up to a high of 1.62. That worked out to an 80% rip, and it came on an incredible 291X the monthly average volume.

The huge session was catalyzed by the announcement that the FDA has granted Rare Pediatric Disease Designation to CAP-1002, Capricor’s development candidate for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. (>>View PR)
_________

Marijuana Company of America, Inc. MCOA – There was a nice move in MCOA as the stock traded up 38% from .02685-.037 on close to five times its monthly average volume, and the table may be set for a continuation of the trend with a new PR hitting the wires this morning.

The company is reporting that it has received the first round of funding for a joint venture to construct a 30,000 sq. ft. greenhouse grow facility in Oroville, Washington. Once completed, the greenhouse facility will accommodate a cannabis production and processing tenant with a Tier 3, I-502 license… (>>View PR)
_________

Novavax Inc. NVAX – This one recorded a very respectable gain on the day, running steadily from 1.17 up to 1.53, a 31% upswing. More importantly, the stock maintained the vast majority of its daily advance into the close, so we’ll want to continue to track NVAX as well.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Cannabis Sector Heating Up Again

Cannabis Comments

We got head-faked a little bit in terms of the cannabis sector in the past year or so. Leading up to last fall, anything even remotely tied to marijuana was going through the roof, with seemingly no end in sight. Then a regime change in Washington led to the appointment of self-avowed cannabis hater Jeff Sessions to the head of the DOJ. That led to a considerable cooling of what was previously the hottest market sector.

That being said, it has been business as usual for companies operating in the space in places that have taken the step of ending prohibition. Growth is happening all around, and the investment community has taken notice. The cannabis sector is showing signs of heating up once again, so we want to return to some of the plays we’ve covered in the past and highlight a few that could stand to see some good moves in the days and weeks ahead.

Dewmar International, Inc. DEWM – We just signaled our interest in DEWM in Friday morning’s premarket report, and the stock made a solid two-session swing. From Friday’s low of .0108 to .0163 yesterday, marking a move of 51% We’ll want to continue to track its movements, particularly after this morning’s news.

DEWM announced today that it filed a provisional patent with the US Patent and Trademark Office for the treatment of lung cancer with cannabinoids, so that’s going to be another interesting storyline to follow with respect to DEWM.
_____

Also going on our refreshed cannabis watchlist of previously tracked stocks will be PNTV, POTN, MCIG, MCOA, and TRTC.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Options

We’re always looking for a good post-earnings options play and we may have one with NFLX this morning. Up 10% in premarket trading on a solid beat, we’re going to be looking for a potential dip-and-rip scenario that could lead to some hefty intraday moves. Our targets are going to be the NFLX Weekly $172.50-180 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Watchlist & More

Coin Citadel CCTL

Among the plays we signaled in a bitcoin-related watchlist we formulated at the end of May while bitcoin prices were going haywire, was CCTL. We’ve actually been tracking this play for a lot longer than that if you refer to the CCTL Tag on our blog.

As recently as May 23rd, this stock was trading at the bottom of the barrel with a .0001 share price, and it has made just the kind of moves that one might expect from a super-subpenny play that suddenly finds itself in the middle of one of the trendiest market spaces.

Yesterday, we observed CCTL trading as high as .0008, which of course marks a rise of 700% over our witnessed lows in the space of ten trading days. We’re going to want to keep an eye on the stock, and be on the lookout for a key break into the double-zero range.

Bottom-Watchlist

We’re always searching for a good bottom play, and we’ve got a few to add to our watchlists this morning.

Dragonwave, Inc. DRWI – Up considerably in the premarket and moving to fill a previous gap on the chart this morning is DRWI. The company recently closed a hefty round of funding, which may explain the circumstances which led to it recording a new 52-week low yesterday. The company did, however, announce it has been awarded a big product supply and installation services contract from SmartSky Networks, a North American 4G LTE in-flight service provider. (>>View PR)
____

Ability, Inc. ABIL
– Also gapping up to a lesser degree in the premarket is ABIL. We’ll want to keep a good eye on this one, as it recently registered a new annual low. If the activity boost we’re seeing this morning develops into a more sustained trend, we could be catching the stock just in time for a recovery.
____

Sugarmade, Inc. SGMD – Sugarmade is coming off of a bottom on the chart as well, trending up moderately for the month of June so far. This morning the company announced it had received purchase orders for hydroponic growing equipment that could yield as much as $3M this year. (>>View PR)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Momentum Movers & More

APT Systems, Inc. APTY

Here’s another multi-day momentum play that we’ve been tracking very closely. We first alerted APTY the the Friday before last, observing a low of .0036 at the time. By Friday morning, at which time we specified that we’d be tracking this play into this week, the stock had reached a high of .0125 (+247%).

Our decision to remain interested in the play paid dividends once again, as APTY had another exceedingly strong session Friday afternoon, running up another 65% intraday from .0099 to a new high of .0164. It marked an overall move of 356% in just a six-session span, so a big congrats goes out to any of our readers who were able to use this momentum-mover to their advantage.

NovaVax, Inc. NVAX

When we tagged NVAX in last Monday morning’s report we had a pretty good indication that the stock was in line for a significant rebound, and our expectations have been met at every turn. The stock has now strung together an impressive five consecutive sessions wherein a new high was achieved.

The stock traded in a modest daily range from 2.17-2.41, and from the low we witnessed a week ago today, that new upper limit has extended our potential gains on this play in the same time frame to a highly respectable 77%

As long as NVAX continues to achieve higher highs and higher lows, it will be afforded a slot on our watchscreens.

ACRE Reality Investments, Inc. AIII

Speaking of momentum plays, we tagged AIII in Tuesday morning’s premarket report, as a potential bottom-bounce candidate, and it too achieved higher highs and higher lows every single day following our initial flag.

The low we saw on Tuesday was 1.0194, and the subsequent recovery took it to a high of 1.42; a comparatively modest, yet still healthy 39% Just like the above-mentioned plays, AIII did enough throughout the course of last week to keep us interested in continuing to track its progress.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Key Updates & More

NovaVax, Inc. NVAX

NVAX continued its multi-day recovery with a fourth straight session of intraday gains leading to a new high for us yesterday. We’ve talked about it almost every day this week, initially bringing it up in Monday morning’s report; at the time the stock was trading as low as 1.36.

It has made some nice, steady progress, and yesterday the stock made its way to  high of 2.25, marking an intraweek upswing of 65% on extremely heavy volume throughout.

We’ve also taken notice of series of Form-4 buys that were reported after hours yesterday, the largest of which was a 100,000 share block at an exercise price of 1.72. We’ll look for the stock, to maintain support at or above that level on any pullbacks moving forward in order to stay interested in tracking it.

APT Systems, Inc. APTY

This is another play we’ve been tracking since last Friday, and it too has managed an excellent uptrend this week, after we initially observed a low of .0036 subsequent to indicating our interest. Yesterday the stock traded in a range from .0065-.0125 for a 93% intraday push, and that new high marked a one week swing of 247%

We’re definitely going to stay on its trail heading into next week, provided it can hold support in the channel between .0072 and .01 on any upcoming pullbacks.

ACRE Reality Investments, Inc. AIII

Part of our bottom-watchlist that we submitted for Tuesday morning’s premarket report, AIII has made solid steps to the upside throughout the rest of the week, confirming the fact that we timed the bottom with absolute precision.

From Tuesday low of 1.0194, the stock has sustained a good recovery, and made its way back to a high of 1.32 yesterday (+29%). This is another one we’ll continue to follow into next week, as there still appears to be room for it to run.

As we’ve pointed out on the annotated chart below, the RSI is gaining strength having just breached the 50-line, the MACD is on the verge of a bullish cross, and the PPS is approaching key resistance at the 50 and 200DMA’s of 1.33 and 1.35 respectively. We’ll continue to monitor the situation as we close out another trading week.
