Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Roundup

Options Round-Up

We had good fortune with yesterday’s options calls (see WGO below), and with a trio of big name earnings reports out either yesterday post-market or this morning, we figured we’d triple-down on some more fresh options ideas!

The Kroger Co. KR Weekly $28-29.50 Calls

Darden Restaurants Inc. DRI 07/20 $100-115 Calls

Micron Technology, Inc. MU Weekly $61-62.50 Calls

Winnebago Industries, Inc. WGO – Options Recap

We took notice of Winnebago’s impressive earnings beat yesterday morning and promptly formulated a range of options ideas to try to take advantage of the situation.

We’ll selected the WGO Weekly $43-46 Calls to put on watch, and each of the four contracts in that range turned out to be a solid intraday mover. The following are the total possible gains which could have been banked off of these ideas on the day:

$53 Calls – Range: 2.29-4.30 – Max Gain: 88%
$54 Calls – Range: 2.00-3.60 – Max Gain: 80%
$55 Calls – Range: 1.50-3.00 – Max Gain: 100%
$60 Calls – Range: 1.18-2.40 – Max Gain: 103%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Trio of Post-Earnings Options Ideas

Trio of Post-Earnings Options Ideas

As our regular readers are more than aware, we are always looking in the earnings calendar to find potential quick-strike options trading opportunities. After a strong earnings report, chances to take advantage of the clamor for shares are often plentiful.

This morning we’ve got three separate ideas, to help us try to do just that. After solid reports all around we’re looking to formulate ideas for The TJX Companies, Inc. TJX, Advanced Auto Parts, Inc. AAP, and Kohls Corp. KSS options chains.

TJX 06/15 $85-90 Calls
AAP 06/15 $120-130 Calls

KSS Weekly $67.50-69.50 Calls

Agile Therapeutics, Inc. AGRX

Another thing we’re always looking for is bottom-play opportunities. We want to place AGRX on watch after seeing the stock get absolutely crushed over the past few sessions.

The short interest has risen dramatically as you can see on the AGRX page of Naked Short Report, and caused a serious gap down to perhaps unsustainably low levels. When an influx of buyers looking for a bargain comes in, we could see that gap begin to fill. We’ll have it on a close bottom watch.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Potential Gap-Fillers & More

Hyatt Hotels Corp. H – Options Idea

We’re going to kick this week off by taking a look at Hyatt Hotels. This is a stock with a relatively predictable and volatile trading pattern. As you can see on the chart, H is coming down off of a quadruple-top formation, with indicators suggesting a significant bearish swing could occur at any time.

We want to designate a pair of contracts in the H options chain to track over the next week or two to coincide with this assumption. We’re going to slate the H 06/15 $85 & $80 Puts for observation as we kick off this fresh trading week.

Potential Gap-Fillers

We are going to flag Vista Outdoor, Inc. VSTO and Harbinger Group, Inc. HRG for technical reasons as well today, with each stock boasting a highly similar setup.

If you notice the side-by-side view of the charts below, both stocks have been working their way up off of a bottom, with a huge gap on the chart to the upside just waiting to be filled. We see these setups often, and in both cases here, the chances for a gap-fill appear greater than average.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: HTGM, MYDX Reviews & A Lot More

HTG Molecular Diagnostics, Inc. HTGM

We placed HGTM on watch for the first time ever in yesterday’s premarket report, and the stock gave a heck of a solid performance, immediately serving up chances at some respectable single-session gains.

The stock traded in a range from 2.85 up to 4.90 which works out to an intraday spike of 72% It did pull back considerably into the close, but we’re definitely going to let it remain on our watchlist for the time being, as it managed to trade roughly 45X its monthly average volume.

Dolat Ventures, Inc. DOLV

Prior to yesterday’s report, the last time we had mentioned DOLV was back in 2015, so it might as well have been new.

It too made a respectable intraday run as it traded up from a low of .0056 and reached a subsequent high of .00975. That worked out to a 74% intraday pop, although it didn’t occur on much more than the 30-day average volume.

MyDx, Inc. MYDX

This is a play we’ve been tracking pretty closely since the end of 2016, with our observed low on the stock coming in at .001 (Feb.16th).

Most recently we re-tagged it in Wednesday’s premarket report, and from a low of .0077 that day, the stock went on to hit .0129 yesterday, for a two day swing of 68% The total five-week run we’ve witnessed from February’s swing low amounts to 1190%

U.S. Stem Cell, Inc. USRM

Just a quick rundown for those who might not be up to speed on USRM- we initially mentioned it on the morning of February 27th after which we’d watch it run from .014-.0545 (+289%). We then tracked its consolidation down to .0175, and highlighted it again two Wednesday’s ago on the 15th.

On Tuesday, we called USRM a “swing trader’s paradise” as we were updating our readers on its performance, which at that time had shown another 200% jump back to the .05-area. But the party didn’t end there. As of yesterday USRM attained a new high of .07, which equates to an overall run of 400% from our observed low (.014) of less than one month ago.

Snap, Inc. SNAP – Options Recap

We’ve been playing SNAP options like a fiddle recently, first with our bearish idea rocketing up over 200% last Friday, and then yesterday with our bullish idea of, the SNAP Weekly $22-23.50 Calls.

$22 Calls – Range: .55-1.20 – Max Gain: 118%
$22.50 Calls – Range: .30-.85 – Max Gain: 183%
$23 Calls – Range: .15-.50 – Max Gain: 233%
$23.50 Calls – Range: .05-.27 – Max Gain: 440%

We’re going to want to continue watching these SNAP Calls through today’s session, keeping in mind that a break 23.75 would signal the need to roll up our strike price to the $24 level.*
______

FRESH OPTIONS IDEAS:
MU Weekly $29-30.50 Calls* – WDC Weekly $78.50-80 Calls*

*Trading weekly options on a Friday is extremely high-risk, so if you’re not an advanced-level trader, don’t even think about it!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Weekly Winners Review

Weekly Winners Review

Yesterday was a great day for so many of the ideas we’ve been discussing this week, leaving our normal routine seemingly unaffected by the holidays.  That being said, we’d like to wish all of our readers a prosperous holiday season! 2016 was yet another great year, and we’re already very excited about making 2017 even better!

Micron Technologies, Inc. MU – First up, we’ve got an update on the options idea that we included in yesterday’s premarket report. We signaled the MU Weekly $22-23.50 Calls on the heels of the company’s solid earnings call on Wednesday. All four of the sets of contracts in that range provided big-time gain opportunities:

$22 Calls – Range: .88-1.47 – Max Gain: 67%
$22.50 Calls – Range: .47-1.00 – Max Gain: 113%
$23 Calls – Range: .24-.58 – Max Gain: 142%
$23.50 Calls – Range: .10-.29 – Max Gain: 190%
_____

ERF Wireless, Inc. ERFB – After first alerting ERFB a week ago today, we’ve tracked the stock throughout this week, and witnessed a great run from a low of .0013, to yesterday’s high of  .0085. That worked out to an excellent intraweek swing of 554%
_____

Globalstar, Inc. GSAT – Speaking of momentum plays, that’s just what GSAT was when we caught it on Monday morning. It had already strung together four sessions of higher highs, and has managed to maintain that trend for another four! We’ve witnessed an additional increase of 60% from our observed low of 1.25 to yesterday’s new high of 2.00 on heavy volume throughout the week.
_____

Momentous Entertainment Group, Inc. MMEG – We tagged MMEG in Wednesday morning’s premarket report, and that one has made a very nice two-day swing as well. From a low of .0017 to it reached .0038, which represents a 123% spike.
_____

Imprimis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. IMMY – We also just want to remind readers of a signal we gave yesterday morning on IMMY, which had just begun to show signs of a bottom-bounce in the previous session. The stock did continue that trend with a modest 17% move to the upside, trading from a low of 2.12 to 2.48. The jump did occur on well over five times the 3-month average volume, so we’ll continue to observe this play, which has a chance to confirm its multi-day runner status with strong finish to the week.
