Blue Horseshoe Stocks: HERO, Options Update & More

Hercules Offshore, Inc. HERO

We had HERO figured for a bottom-watch play, and began mentioning the stock a couple of weeks ago for the first time since last summer. After seeing a significant gap-down to start the week, the stock has responded by posting a couple green candles on the chart.

HERO is trending off of a multiple bottom, and is now going to be on our list as a potential momentum play. From the included chart below you can plainly see the kind of volatile swings the stock is capable of making. We’ll be on the lookout for it to first fill in that gap, followed by a breach of the 200DMA. Should that occur, we could see another series of gains resembling those from February and March.

Computer Sciences Corp. CSC – Options Update

Next we want to update our readers on an extended-term options idea we submitted last Wednesday. Despite already seeing significant intraweek moves from contracts within our highlighted range of CSC 06/17 $44-48 Calls, yesterday brought along further opportunities. The gains perhaps weren’t of the magnitude that we’re accustomed to seeing in many of our options plays, but they were solid chances for profits nonetheless:

$45 Calls – Range: 3.20-4.20 – Max Gain: 31%
$47 Calls – Range: 1.65-2.80 – Max Gain: 70%
$48 Calls – Range: 1.25-2.20 – Max Gain: 76%

CafePress, Inc. PRSS

Lastly, another quick idea to add to the mix in PRSS. Aside from the chart being technically attractive, trading near relative lows at a double-bottom, we’re also interested in PRSS for the Form-4 that was filed last week showing a major investor picking up a sizable chunk to add to his position (>>View Filing). We’re going to add this to our own working watchlist and observe it closely in sessions to come.

Extended Watchlist:
TDCP, AJBI, GTHP, GOVX, IMUC

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MXSG, ABRW Recaps, Options & More

Mexus Gold US  MXSG

MXSG was the first of a pair of extended watchlist plays from yesterday’s morning report to produce an appreciable intraday move that could’ve been used for healthy single-session gains.

From its opening price of .045 the stock spent the entire morning on a steady uptrend that carried it to a high of .0699 shortly after 12pm. That was good for a daily profit of up to 55%  We next observed a dip-and-rip pattern in afternoon trading wherein the stock came down to find support at .0481 before launching back to the closing PPS of .0615; an added swing of 28%

Those moves came on more than quadruple the 30-day average trading volume and with a strong close, we’ll be sure to leave MXSG on our track-list in coming sessions.

We actually called this play back on February 5th at which time the stock was trading at  .0016. Yesterday’s high represented an unreal 3744% increase in roughly three-and-a-half months over that low!

American Brewing Co. Inc.  ABRW

The other significant runner that showed itself yesterday was ABRW. This was one that was also good for a quick rip right from the opening bell.

We witnessed an immediate spike from .98 up to 1.51, which represents a rip of 54% While the stock did trade mostly sideways for the remainder of the session, it managed to close at 1.35, maintaining well over half of its daily advance. That qualifies this play for continued observation as well.

Fresh Options Ideas

For the first time this week, we’re going to submit a couple of fresh plays on the options trading front.

SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) – The SPY has been a go-to for us when we want a chance to leverage overall market sentiment to our advantage. With strong performance from the markets as a whole, as well as cracking its 50DMA yesterday for the first time in several sessions, our highlighted range here is going to be SPY Weekly $208-210 Calls.

Apple, Inc. AAPL – It has been quite some time since we formulated any options ideas for AAPL, but it is one that has produced winners for us on a multitude of occasions in the past. The stock has been rebounding and showing strength over the past couple of sessions. Couple that with, as we just said, an overall bullishness in the general tone of the markets at large, and it makes AAPL an attractive target for us today, and into the near future. We’re going to zero in on AAPL Weekly $98-99 Calls for possible quick-strike opportunities, as well as AAPL 07/17 $101 Calls for a more of an extended-term idea.

Bonus Idea: CSC 06/17 $44-48 Calls

Extended Watchlist:
TSPG, IORG, NVAX, HERO, NWY(Bottom-Watch)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: KGNX, HERO Recaps & More

KollagenX Corp. KGNX

We tagged KGNX in yesterday morning’s premarket report, and were met with a fantastic intraday gain opportunity from this subpenny runner that has brought us good chances to gain in the past. (We’d initially tagged it coming off of its 52-week lows in March)

Yesterday we observed a low of .00189 in the stock before it took off, running hard and reaching a high of .0037 shortly before 1PM. That marked an upswing of 96% on close to nine times the monthly average trading volume, and KGNX closed with enough strength (.003) to qualify it for further observation as a possible momentum play.

Hercules Offshore, Inc. HERO

Speaking of momentum, that was what led us to feature HERO in yesterday’s report. The stock had already strung together three consecutive sessions of building higher lows, and it continued that trend for us with a solid performance on the day.

HERO traded in a range from 1.52-1.99, a respectable rise of 31% and it did so on a little over three times the 3-month average volume. This morning we’re seeing a slight gap-up in HERO to a premarket high of 2.15, which extends our observed range to an overnight gain of 42% We’ll keep tracking this one for a potential continuation of momentum as well.

Fresh Options Idea

Target Corp. TGT – Target is tumbling in the premarket this morning on disappointing sales and Q2 guidance, leading us to submit a bearish idea for the stock’s options chain. We’re going to put TGT Weekly $69-65 Puts on our short-term radars today. We’ll remain interested in these contracts

Extended Watchlist:
GTHP, TRKK, APA, ORMP, FCAU, FAC(Bottom watch)
CBYL(Gap to fill up to 2.25)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Earnings Calls, Bottom-Plays & More

Momo, Inc. MOMO

We began tracking MOMO on Friday after noticing the stock coming off of a bottom, and we’ve seen an appreciable move to the upside in the ensuing sessions.

The stock is gapping up this morning on a strong earnings report (>>View Highlights), reaching a high of 12.73 in the premarket. We caught MOMO at a low of 11.52 on Friday and have thus far seen an 11% increase, so we’ll want to leave it on the radar and watch for higher lows and higher highs.

NQ Mobile, Inc. NQ

Speaking of earnings plays, we’re going to be tracking NQ closely over the next couple of sessions. The stock has been trending off of a bottom for the past three sessions and this morning, we’re seeing the stock gap up considerably.

Things are likely to get interesting as the company is slated to release earnings post-market today, and a big PR hit wires just an hour ago.

Today’s News: NQ Mobile Inc. Enters into a Definitive Agreement for the FL Mobile Divestment (>>View PR)

Hercules Offshore, Inc. HERO

We’re also going to be monitoring HERO, which, like the aforementioned stock, has been establishing a solid move up off of recently-registered two-month lows.

As you can see on the included snapshot of the chart, HERO went on a massive run from the .70-range to more than 4.00 from February to April. Indicators are ripening for what could be the next big leg up after the recent consolidation, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye peeled for the possibility of a continued upsurge.

The Children’s Place, Inc. PLCE

PLCE is yet another bottom-bouncer with earnings that is gapping up in early trading. We’re going to signal a range of options contracts for observation to possibly take advantage of the momentum. Our target range is going to be the PLCE Weekly $70-75 Calls.

Chatroom Call:

Our daily live traders chats are a great way to get involved with what we do. Regular participant DJ spotted another big runner and shared with the room shortly after the opening bell. We saw it at .03 before it went on a monumental run to hit a high of .465 on news with TOMS Shoes. Gains of over 1500% were possible. Feel free to join our traders chats by sending a Skype request to user ‘stocksumo’.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ITEK Recap, Options Ideas & More

Inotek Pharmaceutical Corp. ITEK

Our report for yesterday brought a couple of nice opportunities, with ITEK standing out as the most impressive. We caught this play on our routine morning scan, after noticing some abnormally elevated premarket activity. The company had released some information regarding its glaucoma treatment exiting Phase II studies and laying a strategic path for Phase III, and needless to say, it was very well-received.

This wasn’t a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it sort of move either, with just a small move up to start the session, ITEK traded sideways for most of the morning. Just prior to lunchtime is when we started to see the beginnings of an epic intraday run, especially for a stock in this price range.

From a low of  7.66, the stock exploded to reach a daily (and new annual) high of 16.75, standing as a single-session surge of 119%  The overall move as of this morning’s premarket high of 18.20 registers as an overnight increase of 138%  Cheers go out to any of our readers who caught our alert!

Inotek Pharmaceuticals Announces Positive End-of-Phase 2 Meeting with FDA and Phase 3 Development Strategy for Trabodenoson, a Novel Treatment for Glaucoma (Thu, Jul 23)

WindStream Technologies, Inc. WSTI

It was Tuesday’s Letter to Shareholders that caught our eye in the premarket news feed, causing us to raise a flag on WSTI that morning.

We’ve covered it every day since, and have been rewarded with incremental gains throughout, with the stock recording higher highs and higher lows each session. Yesterday, we witnessed an intraday run from .0172-.0244, which yielded the chance at gains of up to 42% on the day.

From our observed low on Tuesday (the 52-week low of .0085) we’ve now seen an overall jump in WSTI amounting to 187% in just three session’s time. Refer to the annotated chart below to evaluate WSTI’s chances of making further advances from this juncture.

Friday Options Ideas

If you recall last Friday, we came up huge with an alert on Weekly GOOG Calls.  We mentioned how time-decay at this point in the week begins to evaporate premiums in contracts with a weekly expiration, and generates a high-octane volatile environment where big gains are often there for the taking for those who can assume a higher-than-average risk.  A 694% intraday run from one of the sets of contracts we highlighted in that report was there to prove our point.

___

We’re going to venture a similar set of ideas this morning for Weekly AMZN Calls in the $575-595 range. The stock is gapping up hard this morning to the tune of 20%, thus we will have our eyes peeled for a classic dip-and-rip scenario.

___

We’re also going to put a marker flag on Weekly FB Calls from $96-50-97.50. The stock is rebounding off of a pullback over the past couple of days, after performing extremely well for the majority of this month.
