Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FRO, OPK, WLGC & More

Frontline, Ltd. FRO

At the beginning of this month when we first began looking at FRO, the stock was trading at a low of 1.33. It took barely a week for the stock to start inching its way up, and it has continued to do so up to the present.

By the time we re-flagged it in Friday’s morning report, it had already cracked the $2.00-mark, and we did mention that the level of momentum was primed to allow for further opportunities.

This morning FRO continues to push the envelope, setting a new high in premarket trading action. This morning’s top figure of 2.64 puts us just slightly short of double-bagger status, having shown us an increase of 98% from the lows we observed the week before last.

It can be argued that the bolstering of activity seen on FRO (and other shipping plays) is due to the continuing fall of oil prices which translates to savings at the pump.

Opko Health, Inc. OPK

OPK is catching our attention in the premarket as well, as a result of an agreement announced this morning with pharma-giant Pfizer to develop and commercialize one of Opko’s highly promising products which combats Growth Hormone deficiency. Peruse the following PR to find out more; the development certainly lands OPK a spot on our watchlist to kick off the week.

In instances like these where a play is sent through the roof on substantial news, we look for the resulting profit-taking to pull the stock back, where we wait to take advantage of a possible dip-and-rip scenario.

OPKO Health, Inc. (OPK) and Pfizer Inc. (PFE) announced today that they have entered into a worldwide agreement for the development and commercialization of OPKO’s long-acting hGH-CTP for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency (GHD)… hGH-CTP has the potential to reduce the required dosing frequency of human growth hormone to a single weekly injection from the current standard of one injection per day. >> FULL PR

WordLogic Corp. WLGC

Speaking of significant news, WLGC forces its way into our vernacular this morning on the heels of the announcement that the company will be teaming up with energy-leviathan General Electric (GE) in order to “monetize specific patented intellectual property in General Electric’s portfolio.”

With such a high-profile bedfellow, WLGC will instantly gain new recognition, and it will be very interesting to see how that translates to the chart.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DRL, PBR & More

Doral Financial Corp. DRL

One of our main interests from this week has been DRL, and this stock put forth a very solid session yesterday. After seeing lows of 6.81 in the morning, the stock broke out in the afternoon to 9.29. That was good for an intraday run of 36%

Some of you may recall our initial alert on DRL back on July 23rd, subsequent to which we would observe a low of 4.61. Yesterday’s high marked a 101% move up from that level, over a span of less than a month.

Congrats go out to everyone who was tracking DRL along with us, as it provided a plenty-big chance for all to profit.

Lucas Energy, Inc. LEI

LEI appeared for the first time in our reports yesterday, and performed pretty well for a first-time call. Right at the open we tracked LEI from its low at .52 and saw a rapid spike to .69, which marked a gain of 32% right off the bat.

Those who missed the opening move still had a chance for a 15% intraday flip as LEI came back to bounce off support at .55 and ran back to .63 just prior to closing.

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Tracking Options

We’re still all over the PBR options chain (in fact it has appeared in our reports more than 40 times since March) but we don’t see why anyone would be getting sick of our coverage, as every single one of our recent ideas on this play has paid out in a big way.

Yesterday was no exception; let’s break down our pre-market calls and see how they fared. We mentioned the $16.50  and $17 Weekly Calls for a quick intraday flip opportunity, and traders would have been very pleased to play either set of contracts. The $16.50’s ran 45% in a range from .91-1.32, while the $17’s traded from .50 up to .83; a possible gain of up to 66%

The January $19 Calls that we radared as a longer term option made a small move as well, trading in a range from 1.43-1.58 (+10%)

Those of you who may not recall our week-to-week swing trade idea from last Friday, let us refresh your memory. We mentioned that a play on the 08/22 $15.50 Calls could be good for a swing trade into this week, and the reulsts have been nothing short of astonishing. The contracts saw a low of .38 on Friday, and yesterday, showed us a huge increase, touching 2.17 for total possible gains of up to 471% Cheers to anyone who took our idea with more than a grain of salt!

Side Note:

From yesterday’s extended watchlist, FOLD also had a pretty solid session as it ran steadily from 5.02 in the early morning, to 5.99 around midday. A modest yet comfortable gain of 19%

DGLY, CPST, JRJC, AMSC, BSPM

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BFLX, SKYF, OBJE & Extended Watchlist

Bioflamex Corp. BFLX

Over the weekend, we were conducting a search for some momentum plays to monitor this morning, and came across BLFX, a sub-penny stock which has just recently awakened from a relatively dormant period. These types of plays, while highly volatile, have definitely provided us with opportunities in the past.

After breaking a previous resistance level, the 200DMA (.0006), the stock held above that mark on Friday. A heavy influx of buying has come in over the past couple of trading days, and it closed out last week in full-on momo-mode.

Today, we’ll need to see BFLX maintain support above the 200DMA, and crack though the psychological barrier at .001 in order for us to remain interested in this play.

SKY440, Inc. SKYF

In the course of another of our routine weekend scans, we caught wind of another runner. SKYF has had significant momentum building up over the past couple of sessions, so this is going to be one that we want to keep on our watchlist as trading for the week commences.

As we point out on the chart below, all indicators are looking bullish and like the aforementioned play, SKYF is another one that we’ll need to see hold support above the .0006-level to hold our attention.

OBJ Enterprises, Inc. OBJE

We tagged OBJE as a bottom watch play on Friday, and like clockwork, the stock came down to find support at .04, and would subsequently bounce back to .0545, for a 36% positive intraday move.

Today, we’re looking for higher highs and higher lows out of OBJE to confirm a sustained uptrend.

Extended Watchlist:
WCUI. CPST, IDN, CERE, RSH, JCP

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ACGX Update, PSID News

Alliance Creative Group, Inc. ACGX

ACGX has been under consolidation for the past few sessions, and we’re now turning our attention back to the stock, putting it on bottom watch to start this new trading week. We’ll definitely want to be around when finds support and begins to rebound, as we’ve already witnessed the rapid swing capability of this play.

If you recall, we were recently afforded the chance at gains of up to 100% when ACGX ran from .0055 to .0011, so even if we only saw a fraction of that movement, it could result in a significant percentage increase.

Below, we’ve pointed out the area of support that we’d like to see act as a base for the next swing cycle:

PositiveID Corp. PSID

PSID is another old favorite that we’re turning our attention to this morning after catching a fresh addition to the news feed. This is one PR that you’re probably going to want to read through, as it outlines an agreement the company has signed with NASA.

This won’t be the first high-profile association we’ve seen from PositiveID; the company has generated a lot of collaborative interest from government agencies with regard to its bio-detection technologies.

As far as the PSID chart is concerned, we’d like to see support continue to hold at .07, and are looking to see the 50DMA at .09 to be broken.

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., May 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — PositiveID Corporation (“PositiveID” or “Company”) (PSID), a developer of biological detection and diagnostics solutions, announced today that it has signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA’s Ames Research Center to collaborate on testing the Company’s Firefly Dx detection system (“Firefly”) as a platform for biological research and commercial development for ground and space applications. >> FULL PR

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options

Last Tuesday, we pointed out our interest in the PBR, specifically with regard to the options chain. We stated that we would be “monitoring the $13.50 and $14 Weekly Calls throughout the rest of the week for potential dip-and-rip opportunities.”, and that’s exactly what we got.

As you can see from the screen capture below taken Friday afternoon, the $13.50 Calls ran from a low of roughly .30 on Thursday, and tested highs over 1.10 heading into Friday’s close. The $14’s observed a similar pattern, but with much more significant results, running 1575% from .04 to .67:

Congratulations are in order for anyone who caught these calls, which are just the latest in a long line of opportunities. PBR has performed well for us on multiple occasions since our very first mention (03/21), and we’ll continue to look to it for further chances to profit. Presently, 14.87 is the next key area of resistance that we’re looking to see broken on the chart.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom Plays, Pot Stocks & More

Legacy Platinum Group, Inc. LWSP
The latest addition to our cannabis watchlist, we introduced LWSP in yesterday’s daily report. After consolidating off of a recent 39-cent high, the stock has made higher highs and higher lows off of its bottom.

Yesterday the stock traded from its low of .187, and ran 12% into the close, ending the session at its high-of-day, .21. We always like to see a stock finish on a high note, as it is often a precursor to further gains.

BARCHART.COM is currently giving LWSP a 96% Overall “Buy” Rating

MannKind Corp. MNKD

MNKD serves as the latest example of why we highly suggest all of our readers keep a running list of the stocks we place in our daily Extended Watchlists.

We included this play in Friday’s report as it had been in near free-fall and the possibility of a bounceplay was present. The stock ended up finding support at 4.02, and yesterday after-hours we spied a PR regarding recommendation from an FDA Advisory panel to green-light the company’s AFREZZA(R) insulin inhalation powder.

As a result, the stock is gapping up significantly in pre-market action today, so we’ll want to keep a close watch over this potential breakout play.

VALENCIA, Calif., April 1, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MannKind Corporation (MNKD) today announced that the Endocrinologic and Metabolic Drugs Advisory Committee of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) voted 13 to 1 to recommend that AFREZZA(R) (insulin human [rDNA origin]) Inhalation Powder be granted marketing approval by the FDA to improve glycemic control in adults with type 1 diabetes and voted 14 to 0 to recommend that AFREZZA be granted marketing approval by the FDA to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. If approved, AFREZZA would be the first ultra rapid-acting mealtime insulin therapy available in the United States. >> FULL PR

Alternative Fuels Americas, Inc. AFAI

Speaking of potential bottom plays with fresh news on the wires, we caught AFAI in our morning scan today, and as it turns out, this is another marijuana-related stock. That fact alone is enough to grab our attention.

We have yet to see much news in this sector from Florida, one of the latest states with a medical marijuana initiative on its ballot, so we’ll be interested to follow this storyline as well.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Alternative Fuels Americas, Inc. (AFAI) announced today that its subsidiary Marijuana Holdings Americas, Inc. has founded and will sponsor the Florida Cannabis Industry Association (FLCIA), the primary trade association for Florida’s emerging cannabis industry. >> FULL PR

Prana Biotechnology, Inc. PRAN

In Monday’s Extended Watchlist, we called PRAN a “Huge gap down, possible bounce-play”. The downward pressure continued through yesterday’s session, and the stock closed at 2.30, just .03 off of its low.

This morning, we are seeing the beginning signs of a potential recovery; PRAN is gapping up to the tune of 4% in pre-market trading. We’ll continue to keep this stock on watch, in the event it can regain some of its recent lost ground. Trading over $10 as recently as March 26th, a return to even a fraction of those levels would mean significant opportunity for the sharp trader.
