Our mention of PEIX yesterday got us a spot on the Penny Stock Rumble top gainers list. The stock hit a high of .695 before closing at .6896. From the low of .4513 on Friday following our morning alert, that makes total possible gains of 55%

We mentioned BIOF along with PEIX, as both ethanol plays have a tendency to follow the same trends. BIOF hit a high of 10.75 yesterday, before closing out at 10.21. Being as low as 7.55 on Friday, yesterday’s high marks a 43% gain.

Ecologic Transportation, Inc. EGCT

EGCT had another day of higher highs and higher lows on Monday, touching .37 and closing out at .34. This adds to the continuing uptrend we’ve recently observed in the stock.  A proper timing of last week’s .20 low, would have put you in a position to make up to 85% percent in profits at the top of yesterday’s trading range.

This is the third run of substantial gains we’ve seen out of EGCT since we first mentioned it. At the time we called EGCT a long term play with short term potential, and it has lived up to our expectations completely. We expect the future to continue to bring similar fortune.

ADDED NOTE: We’ve been stressing attention to Apple Calls in recent editions of our newsletter, and for good cause. Leading into this week we were looking at the $680 Calls and they are performing nicely, however, if Apple continues to trend upward, we may be turning our attention to Calls that aren’t so deep in the money, perhaps the $700 and $705 Calls.

THQI was added to our watchlist as a possible bottom bounce-play. We have yet to see that bottom settle in. On Friday, the stock hit a new 52-wk low, but it appears as if it is still on the descent. The company has a PR out this morning:

EffTec International, Inc. EFFI

EFFI was added to our watchlist at midday on Feb. 28th as a momentum alert
At that time, the stock was trading around .13.  What we saw next was a high of .181 the next morning, for a tidy 39% gain overnight!

Since then, the stock has consolidated to find a new level of support at our original alert price of .13, and we already know what this stock can do, so our eyes are open for more such bounce opportunities.

UnderSea Recovery Corporation UNDR

UNDR enjoyed  a substantial momentum surge on Friday, trading sizable volume. It was observed bouncing off of a low of .0004, only to hit a high of .0009– That represents an intraday gain of over 100%.

As a result, Friday’s trading session saw abnormally high volume, and piqued our interest enough to warrant our paying of close attention this morning.

BioSante Pharmaceuticals, Inc. BPAX

We caught this stock at its 52-wk low. It was as low as .38 following our alert. 1.23 was the subsequent high, making for a 224% gainer.

BPAX had some significant news out this morning, outlining the favorable conclusion of  round of testing on its GVAX Prostate cancer vaccine.

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Mar 05, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) — BioSante Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: BPAX) today announced publication of results from a Phase I dose escalation clinical study that show its GVAX Prostate cancer vaccine in treating metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer patients (mCRPC) in combination with ipilimumab (Ipi; Yervoy; BMS), resulted in 53 percent of patients achieving at least stable disease, with two patients showing clear regression of metastases. In addition, 23 percent of patients in the higher dose cohorts had confirmed partial PSA (prostate specific antigen) responses of greater than 50 percent from baseline.

 Bottom-plays seemingly abound recently, as we have got yet another one for you today. Just look at how ripe this chart is for a nice bounce:

Sunbelt International Corp. SUNB

We added another 52% in gains on Wednesday with SUNB, bringing the cumulative total to over 100% in just a few days. While we’ve had so many recent winners it can be hard to keep track of them all, but SUNB is certainly distinguishing itself, landing us at #1 yesterday on Penny Stock Rumble for the second time in the past week.

Yesterday we mentioned that we were looking for a continuation of momentum, which finally arrived late in the day, pushing the stock to its HOD of .38 to close out the session.

IDO Security, Inc. IDOI

IDOI is another play with a nice chart setup that we wanted to add to the radar today. The stock has seen four major runs since December, and each time it has consolidated, its gone even higher.

We are currently experiencing a pullback from the last run to the .50’s, and it looks like it has found a level of support in the .40-range as it has consolidated.

We are going to be revisiting a pick that we have called in the past that has really made moves for us. We first made mention of this play in September, just before it ran 32%.

The chart looks like it is under consolidation, and the possibility of nice bounceplay exists. Stay tuned for the symbol in your inboxes tomorrow.
