Good Start to Short Week, 4 Fresh Ideas

Recap of Tuesday’s Results:

Things got off to a pretty decent start for us as we kicked off this holiday-shortened trading week yesterday morning. In our premarket report, we included a selection of earnings based ideas, and a couple of longer term tech setup plays. Most of what we were monitoring fared reasonably well on the day, with the exception of a set of October calls in CG. All in all, we’re pleased with how things started out this week, and are all set to increase our good fortune.

The targets that recorded good moves were the TCOM 09/15 $40-38 Puts, the BRC 09/15 $50-55 Calls, the CRMT 09/15 $105-100 Puts, and the TSEM 10/20 $31 Calls. There wasn’t much movement in the BRC $50’s but everything else performed quite nicely as you can see below:

TCOM 09/15 $40-38 Puts

Recapping Monday’s Movers, New Targets

Monday’s Options Recaps:

We were faced with rather slim pickings yesterday with regard to the type of big name, large-cap earnings reporters we typically like to take advantage of, but we didn’t let that stop us from picking a couple winners to kick off the trading week. Whenever we get hit with a dry spell for earnings, we always manage to find decent plays in their stead.

Yesterday’s premarket report focused on the EDR 04/21 $22.50-25 Calls, and the SAIC 04/21 $105-110 Calls, and the intraday results we witnessed were rather good. Here’s the breakdown of their daily activity and the total percentage gains that were on the table:

EDR 04/21 $22.50-25 Calls
$22.50:
 .60-.96 (+60%)
$25: .10-.20 (+100%)
_____

SAIC 04/21 $105-110 Calls
$105
 3.23-6.63 (+105%)
$110: 1.20-2.90 (+142%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
TSE 04/21 $22.50 Calls
GLPG 04/21 $40 Calls
DOMO 04/21 $15 Calls
