Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TRXC Recap, Bottom Play & More

 TransEnterix, Inc. TRXC

We caught TRXC for a pretty nice move earlier this month, when we alerted it on the 16th, and the stock went on a two-day run from 2.15 to 4.43, scoring us a solid double-bagger.

In the weeks since then, TRXC has been under consolidation, and yesterday, we tagged it once again in our extended watchlist, and the stock produced what may be the start of another solid uptrend.

From a low of 2.50, the stock went as high as 3.03, making for a 21% rise on the day, and it maintained more than half of that move into the close on better-than-average volume.

We’ll continue to monitor for the establishment of higher highs and higher lows as TRXC attempts to get its next leg-up.

Immune Design Corp. IMDZ

We’ve got an interesting bottom setup on IMDZ, which recently took a massive downturn following the announcement of a large $80M public offering at a price of 4.10/share.

It’s also important to note that there was a huge $10M block of insider buying that came in on Friday near the lows.

Additionally, as you can see on the chart, the result of the last week of activity is a highly oversold state, and all indications seems to be pointing to the possibility of the stock regaining at least a portion of the ground it has recently lost.

Lastly, the company will be a hosting a post-market conference call tomorrow to discuss 3Q earnings and recent developments that you can tune into at http://ir.immunedesign.com/events.cfm after market close tomorrow and for 30 days thereafter.

As an added idea, we’ll radar the IMDZ 12/15 $5 Calls for observation in the days and weeks ahead. Those could see some nice activity if the stock has the recovery we suspect it might.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Roundup & More

Options Roundup

We had good fortune with our fresh options call yesterday, so today we’re going to be recapping the total possible gains on those plays, as well as unearthing a couple of fresh ideas to add to the mix as we close out this trading week.

Delta Air Lines, Inc. DAL – Recap – Our inkling on DAL yesterday morning was to go bearish after a disappointing earnings call for the airline, with the DAL Weekly $55.50-53.50 Puts. We were not disappointed with our decision to do so, as those DAL puts went on to log the following double and multi-bag intraday moves for us before lunch hour was over:

$55.50 Puts – Range: .76-1.60 – Max Gain: 110%
$55 Puts – Range: .48-1.05 – Max Gain: 119%
$54.50 Puts – Range: .25-.65 – Max Gain: 160%
$54 Puts – Range: .13-.36 – Max Gain: 177%
$53.50 Calls – Range: .03-.17 – Max Gain: 466%
______

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. AMD

Speaking of bearish options ideas, we want to enter another fresh set into the log this morning in AMD. This stock trades very cyclically, and from a technical perspective, looks as if it could continue to lose ground after a reversal this week. We’re going to place the AMD 07/21 $14-13 Puts on watch into next week in the event that our impression of this play is correct.
______

BJ’s Restaurants, Inc. BJRI

Lastly on the options front, we are going to signal a range of extended-term calls on BJRI, which has a pretty attractive bottom setup on the chart at the moment. To take advantage of a potential sustained rebound, we’re going to be monitoring the BJRI 08/18 $35 & 40 Calls.
_____

Bonus Idea: NTNX 7/21 $20-25 Calls

Diana Containerships. Inc. DCIX

DCIX went into a full-on nose dive recently after it was announced that the company would be taking out roughly an $85M loan to settle a monster pile of debt, and the investment community did not take the news well.

The stock has subsequently fallen to new all-time lows, and that’s where we come in. We’re always looking for stocks like this to put on bottom-watch. Being egregiously oversold, DCIX may yet have a bit further to fall, but we’ll want to be ready for a reversal at any time. The resulting bounce-back could be considerable.

Blue Horsesehoe Stocks: New Highs on DCTH & More

Delcath Systems, Inc. DCTH

We brought DCTH back into the fold in yesterday morning’s premarket report, and it wasn’t a moment too soon. We mentioned our prior alert on the stock from last Monday. after which we would see a low of .0413 and subsequent run to a dime leading into yesterday’s session.

Then things really kicked into motion, with DCTH ripping its way from a daily low of .1037 all the way up to a whopping thirty cents! That worked out to an intraday bull run of 189% and extended our overall observed range from last Tuesday’s low to a mammoth 626%

That range has been extended even further to 745% in the premarket this morning as DCTH has hit a new high of .349. Unsurprisingly, volume over this period of huge gains has also been extremely heavy. We’ll continue to monitor DCTH in the hopes that it can sustain this fantastic multi-day run.

Vivint Solar, Inc. VSLR

In addition to including a remind tag on VSLR in yesterday’s report, we initially alerted this play on May 18th, and it’s been nothing but smooth sailing since then, en route to some pretty nice gains.

On the morning of the 18th VSLR touched a low of 2.75 and it never looked back. Yesterday, it managed a new high of 5.30, which represents a move of 93% over the course of roughly a month’s time. The sudden extra boost it received this week coul be due, in part, to a Goldman Sachs upgrade from Neutral to Buy on the stock and the raising of the price target to $6.

Adobe Systems Inc. ADBE – Options Idea

Adobe had its Q2 earnings call yesterday post-market, and blew expectations on the Street out of the water. As a result the stock is gapping up considerably this morning in the premarket, and we’d like to have an options idea ready and waiting to take advantage of the commotion.

We’ll radar the ABDE 06/30 $147 & $148 Calls and track them over the remainder of this week and possibly into the next.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Big Move for ORRV & More

Oceanic Research & Recovery Inc. ORRV

On Wednesday, we were mentioning ORRV, and how we’d seen it make a nice move after discussing it in our traders chat the day before. We hinted at the possibility of seeing further gains from this volatile mover, and yesterday provided a truly excellent opportunity to make some fast money, just as we’d hoped.

ORRV traded as low as .0005 in the morning before ripping its way to a daily high of .0022, which marks a single-session run of  340% so congratulations to anyone who noticed our alert and reaped the benefits.

Moving forward we’ll treat this play like any other that has been making solid strides to the upside, looking for it to maintain its uptrend with higher highs and higher lows.

Fresh Options Ideas

NVidia Corp. NVDA
– This has been 2016’s top performer on the S&P 500, and one that we’ve visited in our reports on occasion. Despite already being up over 200% on the year, we like the feel of the reversal that occurred yesterday after it previously had appeared that a downturn was setting up. Instead shares of NVDA pressed upward, and the stock is gapping up considerably in premarket trading today.

We’re going to focus upon the NVDA Weekly $112-115 Calls to try to turn a quick profit today.

_____

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. AMD – We also want to look at one of NVDA’s direct competitors, which has also been building momentum on the chart, in a general uptrend since the middle of October. Here we’re going to want to monitor the activity in the AMD Weekly $11-12 Calls.
_____

CAUTION: Never trade weekly options contracts on a Friday if you aren’t an expert trader. These are high-risk/high-reward style plays that are not for the faint of heart, or the inexperienced!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Friday’s Winners, Fresh Plays

The GEO Group, Inc. – Options Update

We caught GEO on the heels of a sell-off on Friday morning, and decided to go against the grain with some options calls, the success of which would be predicated upon a solid rebound.

We did in fact witness such a recovery, as GEO stock itself ran from a low of 21.30 up to 23.98. That meant that the target contracts we outlined in Friday’s report were due for some excellent intraday moves. The GEO 09/16 $20 and 22.50 Calls were our highlighted plays, and each of them provided the chance at multi-bag gains on the day.

The $20 Calls traded in a range from 1.61-4.21, for a healthy 161% rip, while the $22.50’s saw an increase from .87 to 2.78, for potential intraday profits as high as 220%

With plenty of time left until their expiration, we’ll have the opportunity to keep monitoring these plays in the event that GEO’s bounceback continues to persist.

Bulova Technologies Group, Inc. BTGI

Also appearing in Friday morning’s premarket report was BTGI, and it too provided us with a significant gain opportunity during the session.

BTGI traded up from its morning low of .0091, surged through the penny mark and ran all the way to .0179, which represented an intraday swing of 97% and occurred on roughly 3.5x its monthly average volume.

Patriot Scientific Corp. PTSC

We’d also like to take a minute to outline the significant intraday move recorded by PTSC after appearing in our report on Friday morning.

The stock ran from a low of .0056 up to .0099, marking a single-session rip of 77%
