Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Recaps, Fresh Ideas

Pier 1 Imports Inc. PIR

It was just Monday morning that we were heralding the performance of PIR following our recent tag of the stock as a bottom-watch play just shy of three weeks ago on August 23rd. The day after that alert, we would observe a low of 3.76. At the time we mentioned that we felt a double-bagger was possible, and as of Monday, it had fallen just short of that mark with a 91% increase.

Yesterday, the stock blew through that mark with its biggest session yet. It traded in an impressive intraday range from 6.10-10.48 (+64%). That pushes our overall gains since our initial flag to a very nice  179% well past the double-bag mark that we had targeted!

Endo Pharmaceutical Holdings Inc. ENDP

Speaking of other very respectable stock calls we’ve made recently, we tagged ENDP on August 7th, as it was trading for as little as 2.14.

Yesterday, after its second big bull session of the past week, the stock hit a new high of 4.07, leaving us with total possible gains of 92% since our initial call on ENDP.

PVH Corp. PVH

PVH has demanded our repeat attention for nearly an entire trading week now. We were just updating our readers yesterday morning  with the fantastic gains we’ve seen from our options idea, the PVH 09/20 $75-85 Calls, since last Tuesday.

We’ve had to return each morning to update readers on the new highs these plays have been registering each day. Today will be no different, with significant extensions to our total observed ranges being logged with yesterday’s session. Please note, these are the lows following our alert last Tuesday, to yesterday’s subsequent highs.

$75 Calls – Range: 5.10-14.25 – Max Gain: 179%
$80 Calls – Range: 2.00-9.60 – Max Gain: 380%
$85 Calls – Range: .55-5.07 – Max Gain: 789%

With nearly two weeks remaining until expiration, we can’t rule out even more increases coming to these plays. They’ll remain on our radar for the time being.

Weatherford International plc  WFTIQ

Also catching our eye today, thanks to our longtime reader Mark, is a news release by an OTC company which has just scored a huge contract with PBR (Petrobras), a stock that we have an extensive history covering. It is Brazil’s state run oil conglomerate, and the deal represents the biggest score for WFTIQ to date.

We’ll include a clip of, and link to, the PR below, and what we’re looking at for the stock is the potential for some rapid near-term gains as a response to the big news.

BAAR, Switzerland, Sept. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Weatherford International plc (OTC-PINK: WFTIQ) (the “Company” or “Weatherford”), announced the signing of an $87 million contract for fishing and intervention services with Petrolio Brasileiro S.A., which is more commonly known as Brazilian-based multinational corporation Petrobras. The four-year agreement represents the largest fishing contract ever signed by Weatherford. It also constitutes the largest single global award for this scope in the recent past. (>>View Full PR)

FuelCell Energy, Inc. FCEL

FCEL is a play we’ve also been familiar with in the past, and we tagged in yesterday morning’s premarket watchlist after the company’s big Q3 revenue beat on Friday.

It was a solid choice, with the stock making a nice move on day for us. FCEL traded in a range from .48-.64, marking a move of 33% We’ll be interested to see if it can build off of that momentum and continue to rise up off of its recent relative lows.

SUCCESSFUL OPTIONS REVIEW

If you’ve been following our work for a long time, you have no doubt noticed a change over the years. From mainly OTC picks and the occasional big board play, to our present state. We still highlight pure stock plays when the situation calls for it, but the bulk of what makes us so accurate and successful is most definitely our knack for quick-strike options trading.

On Friday, both of our fresh ideas popped off for huge gains, and  play that we were tracking through the short week also added to its gains. We’ll outline the total possible profits from each of those trade ideas to start this new trading week:

Pier 1 Imports Inc. PIR

We also want to provide a quick recap of the performance of PIR since we called it as a bottom-watch play a little over two weeks ago on August 23rd. We went so far as to say “From current pricing, it would not be crazy to think that this retail stock may be capable of doubling”.

The following day the stock saw a low of 3.76, and hasn’t looked back since. On Friday it hit a new high of 7.20, falling just shy of our possibility assessment with a total increase of 91% over the past couple of weeks.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PANW Pops & More

Palo Alto Networks, Inc. PANW

Fresh for yesterday’s morning report, we offered up an idea for the PANW chain, the PANW Weekly $215-222.50 Calls. Here were the maximum possible gains that were on the table for the day, which were, quite frankly, very impressive:

$215 Calls – Range: .20-2.06 – Max Gain: 930%

_____

PVH Corp. PVH

Our next order of business as we close out this holiday-shortened week is to provide further updates on PVH. We scored multi-bag gains with all three of our highlighted contracts,  the PVH 09/20 $75-85 Calls on Wednesday, and cautioned readers that more gains could be on the way in yesterday’s report.

That’s exactly what occurred, so this morning we are updating the highs on our ideas, which extend the total possible profits over a two-day span by a significant margin.

$75 Calls – Range: 5.10-9.89 – Max Gain: 94%
$80 Calls – Range: 2.00-5.60 – Max Gain: 180%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Reviews

OPTIONS REVIEW

We formulated two options ideas for yesterday morning’s premarket report, and with the help of a gap-and-go session for the overall markets, we saw appreciable gains in each and every contract we had designated for observation.

SPDR S&P500 (ETF) SPY -The SPY is always our go-to when we have a gut feeling about market sentiments, and the number of times we’ve found success with trading its options is practically uncountable at this point. Yesterday’s idea was no exception.

Our targets, the SPY Weekly 292-293.50 Calls performed admirably, providing ourselves and our readers with the following profit chances:

$292 Calls – Range: .91-2.04 – Max Gain: 124%
$292.50 Calls – Range: .60-1.53 – Max Gain: 155%
$293 Calls – Range: .33-1.07 – Max Gain: 224%
$293.50 Calls – Range: .14-.61 – Max Gain: 336%

_____

PVH Corp. PVH

Following a large Form-4 buy on the part of the CEO, we were interested in a longer-term play on PVH, highlighting the PVH 09/20 $75-85 Calls and those were able to get some traction on our first day of observation.

With an expiration still two weeks away, we’ll have plenty of time to realize any further gains, but the first day performance is certainly worthy of mentioning.

$75 Calls – Range: 5.10-7.02 – Max Gain: 38%
$80 Calls – Range: 2.00-3.40 – Max Gain: 70%
$85 Calls – Range: .55-1.25 – Max Gain: 127%
