Options Review:

Out of the four options chains in which we designated fresh weekly targets in yesterday morning’s premarket report, we got positive results out of the whole bunch, continuing our tradition of high accuracy. We generated short-term ideas for AAL, BBBY, MA, and JBLU, and with the help of a big market run from the open until about 2PM, we saw bullish moves across the board.

Here are the intraday trading ranges and total possible gains on those targets, the most notable of which were the American Airlines calls, which produced five to seven-bag gains:

AAL Weekly $22.50-24 Calls
$22.50: .41-2.55 (+521%)
$23: .34-2.75 (+709%)

$24: .38-2.73 (+618%)

_____

$320: 5.00-8.92 (+78%)
$322.50: 4.20-6.70 (+60%)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SBUX Success & More

Starbucks Corp. SBUX – Recap

We formulated some options ideas for Friday morning’s premarket report, and among them were the SBUX Weekly $66-67.50 Calls. Continuing a trend that we carried throughout the week, we once again struck upon multi-bag gains off of an earnings related play. This type of trade has become one of our go-to moves for this very good reason. We urge any skeptics to rifle through our blog and check our record on this. We believe our success rate is unparalleled.

$66 Calls – Range:.65-1.65 – Max Gain: 154%
$66.50 Calls – Range: .40-1.35 – Max Gain: 238%
$67 Calls – Range: .22-.80 – Max Gain: 264%
$67.50 Calls – Range: .10-.49 – Max Gain: 390%
_____

We also had the WDC Weekly $43.50-45 Calls in Friday’s report, and despite the fact that only the $43.50’s ended up being in play, the potential gains they afforded traders were exceptional. They traded up from a low of .03 all the way up to .26- a move of 767% on the day.

Caterpillar, Inc. CAT

We’ll once again look to a premarket earnings release to provide us with the impetus for a fresh idea this morning. Caterpillar missed on profits and issued unimpressive guidance, as the company reported disappointingly low demand, specifically in the Chinese market.

We are going to take a bearish view on this for the near-term, and put the CAT Weekly $132-128 Puts on watch to kick off the fresh trading week.

Briggs & Stratton Corp. BGG

We want to close things out this week by commenting on Briggs & Stratton’s gap down to its lowest PPS since the the early 1990’s. While it may see more short term losses first, we still want to radar this as a bottom-watch play.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: New Highs for RIOT & More

AT&T, Inc. ATT

We signaled a range of  ATT calls (Nov 9th) to track on a extended term basis, the ATT 01/19 $34-36 Calls, and those contracts have increased considerably, with a bullish trend from T persisting over the past few weeks.

The stock surged to its highest price per share since early October during yesterday’s session, which caused impressive new highs in our targeted contracts. The range of potential gains so far are as follows:

$34 Calls – Range: .91-4.18 – Max Gain: 359%
$35 Calls – Range: .53-3.30– Max Gain: 523%
$36 Calls – Range: 37-2.36 – Max Gain: 438%

Riot Blockchain, Inc. RIOT

As we mentioned in yesterday morning’s premarket report, we were interested to see if RIOT could re-test and possibly breach its previous highs, even though we had already seen two significant swings.

The stock ended up behaving just as we suspected it might, gapping up to open higher than those previous marks, at 25.00, and running to a new high of 33.27 for an intraday rise of 33%, an excellent single session move for a stock in this price range.   We began tracking RIOT on November 2nd at a low of 6.33, and from there, yesterday’s peak pricing represents an upswing of 426% inside of 6 weeks!

Tenet Healthcare Corp. THC

On Monday morning, we signaled THC for observation as the stock appeared to be ripe for continuing its recent bottom-bounce. We mentioned yesterday that the stock was showing signs of a gap up and possible continued upward momentum, and we were spot on in our assessment.

From its low on Monday to yesterday’s high, THC has thus far made a move of 14% from 13.33-15.26, and while that has not facilitated big gains in the range of options we initially selected (01/26 $13.50-14.50 Calls), we expect to see that change if the stock can maintain its recent rebound over a more sustained period of time,.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Continued Options Success

Twitter, Inc. TWTR – Options Recap

Our first order of business in today’s options-heavy report is to go over the second straight session of excellent intraday runs TWTR Weekly $15-16 Calls which we designated as targets in Wednesday morning’s premarket report.

This midweek, Twitter had posted losses that were less than expected in conjunction with rising user numbers. It has provided us with some really good opportunities, which were as follows:

$15 Calls – Range: .84-1.61 – Max Gain: 92%
$15.50 Calls – Range: .39-1.10 – Max Gain: 151%
$16 Calls – Range: .13-.63 – Max Gain: 384%

At this point these contracts owe us nothing. Granted that these are weeklies and it’s Friday, coupled with the fact that the stock has rushed into heavily overbought territory in just a short time, we’re fine moving on to the next thing which we’ll get to in a moment.

United Parcel Service, Inc. UPS

First we want to go over our UPS options idea that we formulated fresh for yesterday’s premarket report. This was another earnings-related idea, as a great deal of our options calls tend to be, and it worked like an absolute charm.

We signaled the UPS 05/05 $108-111 Calls and every single contract in that range produced chances for spectacular multi-bag gains on the day, with the $111’s stealing the show on a seven-bagger!

$108 Calls – Range: .48-1.70 – Max Gain: 254%
$109 Calls – Range: .23-.99 – Max Gain: 330%
$110 Calls – Range: .21-.52 – Max Gain: 148%
$111 Calls – Range: .04-.33 – Max Gain: 725%

These plays, we can leave on our radars as they don’t expire until the end of next week. If UPS manages to convincingly crack through the 200DMA at 109.00, things could get very interesting.

Western Digital Corp. WDC – Fresh Idea

As for the play that’s catching our attention on this morning’s scan, we’ve got yet another post-earnings target with WDC. The stock has been trading in an upward channel for the better part of a year now, and the company just put out a solid beat for Q3 while issuing a bolstered Q4 outlook.

We’ll try to take advantage of the commotion it’s causing on the chart with the WDC Weekly $90-92.50 Calls, but please remember the warning we always give in these situations: Never attempt to trade weekly options on a Friday unless you are a highly experienced trader- it’s an exceedingly risky proposition.
