Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Wrapping Another Great Week

Options Review

It has been another characteristically good week for the options ideas we’ve been tracking, including a pair of twenty-baggers on Wednesday. To follow up on that, we presented some fresh targets in yesterdays report, and we got some good results from those as well.

Other Updates

Fuel Cell Energy Inc. FCEL – We wanted to mention the bottom bounce candidate we tagged in yesterday’s watchlist. It was looking ripe for another rebound and we ultimately saw the beginnings of that.

The stock traded up from a daily low of .365, and reached a high of .4926. That works out to an intraday move of 35% and a good start for a play that we’re going to continue to track.

____

Tautachrome, Inc. TTCM – Has made repeat appearances in our reports recently, because of the solid intraday volatility it has been bringing to the table and yesterday was no exception.

The stock had another nice bounce back with a range of .0161-.0245, representing a daily move of 52%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SBUX Success & More

Starbucks Corp. SBUX – Recap

We formulated some options ideas for Friday morning’s premarket report, and among them were the SBUX Weekly $66-67.50 Calls. Continuing a trend that we carried throughout the week, we once again struck upon multi-bag gains off of an earnings related play. This type of trade has become one of our go-to moves for this very good reason. We urge any skeptics to rifle through our blog and check our record on this. We believe our success rate is unparalleled.

$66 Calls – Range:.65-1.65 – Max Gain: 154%
$66.50 Calls – Range: .40-1.35 – Max Gain: 238%
$67 Calls – Range: .22-.80 – Max Gain: 264%
$67.50 Calls – Range: .10-.49 – Max Gain: 390%
_____

We also had the WDC Weekly $43.50-45 Calls in Friday’s report, and despite the fact that only the $43.50’s ended up being in play, the potential gains they afforded traders were exceptional. They traded up from a low of .03 all the way up to .26- a move of 767% on the day.

Caterpillar, Inc. CAT

We’ll once again look to a premarket earnings release to provide us with the impetus for a fresh idea this morning. Caterpillar missed on profits and issued unimpressive guidance, as the company reported disappointingly low demand, specifically in the Chinese market.

We are going to take a bearish view on this for the near-term, and put the CAT Weekly $132-128 Puts on watch to kick off the fresh trading week.

Briggs & Stratton Corp. BGG

We want to close things out this week by commenting on Briggs & Stratton’s gap down to its lowest PPS since the the early 1990’s. While it may see more short term losses first, we still want to radar this as a bottom-watch play.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Double-Bottom Watchlist & More

Double-Bottom Watchlist

We like to look for potential rebound plays in stocks that are displaying a double bottom formation on the chart, and we’ve got three such candidate to add to a recovery watchlist this morning.

InVivo Therapeutics Holding Corp. NVIV, Stein Mart,Inc. SMRT, and Sportsman’s Warehouse Holdings, Inc. SPWH have all begun to trend off of a level of support that has been established on one or more previous occasions. We’ll want to monitor this trio in the days and weeks ahead for possible sustained recoveries.

StarBucks Corp. SBUX – Options Idea

Shares of SBUX really came crashing down this morning, all the way to the $55-level, the lowest PPS since March. We’ll be looking to take advantage of a possible forthcoming rebound when the smoke clears.

SBUX has demonstrated solid support in the $54-area earlier this year, so we’ll look for it to hold there or above on this plummet that comes even as analysts are reporting a good outlook.

Once a rebound begins to materialize, we could see some noteworthy activity in the SBUX 08/18 $54-55 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CCTC, EBIO, Options & More

Potential Momentum Plays

Clean Coal Technologies, Inc. CCTC – In a characteristic move, CCTC repeated the history of its own chart, as a stock that seemingly likes to make volatile swings to the upside. It breached its 50DMA in a bullish manner yesterday, so we are going to tag it for observation today in the event of continued momentum.

The chart is showing a series of ripening indicators as well. In order to hold our attention, CCTC will need to maintain support at or above that 50DMA, currently at .153 on any pullbacks.

______

Eleven BioTherapeutics, Inc. EBIO
– EBIO is a stock we’ve come back to on several occasions in the past, and today, we want to circle around to point out its current status as a bottom-bouncing momentum play.

It hit four-month lows just five sessions ago, and has made a decent effort at a rebound since then, so we’ll keep it on watch for the possibility of further recovery.

Options Ideas

We’ve got a couple of earnings-related options ideas this morning as well. As our regular readers are surely aware, post-earnings options trading is one of our favorite and most reliable ways of rooting out rapid short term gain opportunities.

Shake Shack, Inc. SHAK – Weekly $35.50-37 Calls

Macy’s, Inc. M – Weekly $38-41 Calls

______

Reminder: We’re also still tracking our idea on Starbucks from last Friday, the SBUX Weekly $53.50-55 Calls. The stock has traded up to nearly $55 in the premarket today, so we’ll be open to the possibility of seeing our gains extended there.
