LGNT | Laser Energetics, Inc. & Extended Watchlist

Laser Energetics, Inc. LNGT

Today’s interest is a unique company and product. Laser Energetics makes what are referred to as laser optical distractors. Essentially, high powered lasers are used as a deterrent/disorienting device from anyone from private citizens to government law enforcement agencies. One could imagine all of the scenarios in which technology like this would be useful. The principle the devices are built upon is the same as police car roof sirens, that are designed to cause disorientation through bright and distracting flashing lights. Quite an interesting niche for this company which has been around for more than 20 years.

The primary focus of Laser Energetics is the Dazer Laser® – Light Fighting Technologies™, and its new BrightStar™ Alexandrite laser technology. In addition, LEI is developing a new product line of light diffusers called Totally Reflective Transmitter (TRT) technology, which will be marketed for use in mobile phones and PDA’s screens as well as signage – for example as a replacement for neon signs.

From the stock side of things: This one has made some nice bounces over the past year, making some good runs to .075 and .08 where there is significant resistance. Key levels of support are at .05 and .055. Should the stock get past the moving averages which sit in the range from .06-.063, we could easily see a break to .07 or .08. A move to those levels from here, would mark gains of 36-45%

We have taken the liberty of providing you with a video presentation of the chart:

Extended Watchlist:
RFMK, PROT, NOK, HDY,

PEIX, BIOF, DARA, CGUD & Extended Watchlist

Pacific Ethanol, Inc. PEIX &

BioFuel Energy Corp. BIOF

Back in February, we caught these two ethanol stocks and rode them for some pretty nice gains. On Friday, both stocks appeared in our extended watchlist, and both stocks had another runaway performance.

BIOF opened at 7.55, and hit a high of 9.89 before closing at 8.98.Intraday gains of 19-30% were possible there.

PEIX had a day’s range of .4513-.52, marking possible gains up to 15%

With the way these two traded on Friday, we definitely want to keep them on our radar this week.

____

DARA Biosciences, Inc. DARA

DARA is another play from Friday’s Extended Watchlist that really fared well. A possible gain of 16% came when the stock closed at its high of day at 1.09, after dipping as low as .941. Also noteworthy was the huge amount of volume, 7.45M shares traded, to the tune of nearly 30x its 3mo average.

____

Com-Guard.com, Inc. CGUD

CGUD did not get off to the start we were anticipating on Friday. We added it to our watchlist as a result of the huge volume we saw roll in on Thursday, to no avail. We didn’t see a continuation of that volume, as the stock trended down for the day, seeing a low at .0031 before closing out at .0039.

We are still watching however, to see if the news out late Friday has any positive effect moving forward:

ENCINITAS, CA, Sep 14, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — Com-Guard.com, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CGUD), the technology company that has been designing and developing security applications for over ten years, has announced that it will be focusing on applications for the Apple(R) iPhone 5.

“The iPhone 5 ushers in new opportunities for software developers such as Com-Guard, Inc.,” said Dr. Edward W. Savarese, Chief Executive Officer of Com-Guard, Inc. “Apple’s iPhone 5 Release Could Break 170 Million Sales In A Year, Analyst,” says Lisa Eadicicco in an article dated August 8, 2012.

Added Note: Our mention of the AAPL $680 calls paid dividends on Friday. They traded as low as 8.00, and surged to close at 15.35.

APP, MFTH, SGLB & Extended Watchlist

American Apparel, Inc. APP

We first talked about APP all the way back on December 27th. Yesterday it popped back onto our radars as we observed APP hit a new 52-wk high.

Granted the season, and industry, APP should be experiencing better quarterly numbers in the months ahead. Between students returning to school, and the impending holiday retail boom, this apparel company is in position to rake in quite a bit of revenue. For that reason, we will be monitoring APP more closely in the immediate future.

We have also prepared a video chart outlining some key technical points for the stock.

____

Medisafe 1 Technologies Corp. MFTH &

Sigma Labs, Inc. SGLB

As we have stressed in the past, the symbols we place in our extended watchlist simply must not be overlooked. These two stocks did very well yesterday.

MFTH opened at the previous close and LOD of .004, then hitting a high of .0071 before closing at .0062 for possible intraday gains ranging from 55-78% Not bad for having just racked up over 100% in gains one day prior. Following our first mention of MFTH, the stock saw a low on the order of .003, and subsequently touched a high of .006 last week, and has been holding support in the low-to-mid .004’s.

SGLB opened at .016, and touched .03 before closing at .02. for gains ranging from 25-86%

Extended Watchlist:

FITX, AONE, NOK, HBRM

MDHI, EGCT & Extended Watchlist

Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc. MDHI

MDHI had a strong performance yesterday, achieving higher highs and lows on more than twice its 3mo average volume. The chart continues to look strong indeed, giving us reason to believe that we could be experiencing a multi-day or even multi-week play.

Yesterday the price breached a key level of resistance we pointed out in our morning report (.0053), at one point reaching as high as .006. That brings the total possible gains since we first began talking about MDHI (@.003) to a full 100%

We’d like to see the resistance level broken yesterday at .0053 hold as the new support level. Accum/Dist is still on the rise, and the RSI & Slow STO are climbing toward the powerzone.

____

Ecologic Transportation, Inc. EGCT

Those of you that are new to our newsletter should get yourselves familiarized with EGCT. We have been covering this stock on and off since July. The stock has since made two nice runs for us from the low .20’s to the mid-to-high .40’s. It will continue to be on our radars, especially as we wait in anticipation for further details on the company’s currently progressing acquisition of the reknowned ACE Rent A Car company.

____

Side Note: SRGE proved yesterday to be a worthy addition to our extended watchlist, surging from a low of .0026 to .0044 before closing at .0032, making gains of up to 69% possible in the interim.

____

Extended Watchlist:

SWHC, NOK, ROSG, PCFG, AAPL $680 Calls (Options)

IWDM, KMAG & Extended Watchlist

ioWorldMedia, Inc. IWDM

IWDM first appeared in our newsletter on July 19th, shortly after it had hit its 52-wk low. For about a month following, the stock lingered at around .015-.0219, giving everyone ample opportunity to accumulate cheap shares. Last week, the stock had pushed as high as .06, making gains of up to 300% possible since the time of our first alert.

After hitting that six-cent high, the stock experienced a couple days of consolidation, until yesterday, when it began to move up once again.

Currently, BARCHART.com rates IWDM as a “Strong Buy”

Technically speaking the chart is looking sound. We have a golden cross of the 20DMA superseding the 100DMA, as accumulation and distribution has been on a steady increase this month. The RSI has also been hovering around the powerzone.

____

KMA Global Solutions International, Inc. KMAG

Speaking of golden crosses, KMAG, an old-time favorite, is experiencing one currently, with the 50DMA surpassing the 100DMA. Accum/Dist. has been rising steadily, the RSI recently held support off of the 50DMA, and the PPO is pinching, showing a hint of covergence. The Slow STO recently crossed over, passing the 50DMA, and is heading up to the powerzone.

We started putting KMAG back on our radar at .0075 on August 3rd, and by the 13th, it hit a price of .019, for a tidy 153% gain. Key levels of resistance will come at August’s high of .019, and .0231 (previous high hit in April)
