Cannabis Stock Explosion in Progress

Aphria, Inc. APHA – Options Recap

Our sole point of focus in terms of fresh options plays in yesterday morning’s premarket report, was a tight range of calls in the APHA chain on the heels of the company’s earning report- the APHA Weekly $10-11 Calls to be exact. Despite a down day for the markets at large, we saw this cannabis stock buck the trend on the strength of increased price targets relating to the company’s impending merger with Tilray, Inc. TLRY, another pot stock with which we’ve had some experience in the past.

The gains on our target contracts for the day yesterday were quite impressive as you’ll see below, but based on the premarket activity we’re observing this morning, we expect the following ranges and total possible gains to explode at the open today.  Read on to find the expanded set of targets that we’re going to formulate for APHA for today and into next week.

APHA Weekly $10-11 Calls
$10:
 .70-2.25 (+221%)
$10.50: .40-1.70 (+325%)
$11: .28-1.20 (+329%)

As we said above, we expect those figures to increase today, and going forward we’re going to add the APHA Weekly $13-14 Calls, and the APHA 01/22 $15 Calls into our pool of tracked contracts. We’ll also include the TLRY Weekly $21-22 Calls just for good measure.

We’re also going to include a wide range of OTC-traded cannabis penny stocks to track below, as the legislative environment is about to shift dramatically toward favorable conditions for federal reclassification, and the business opportunities it will provide should be like nothing we’ve seen to date.

Another Green Rush for Marijuana Stocks?

Big Time Options Success Persists

The title of our report that we sent out on Friday morning was “Another Dream Week of Options Trading”, wherein we patted ourselves on the back for connecting on some serious options gainers every day of the week.

We would continue that trend with Friday’s fresh options ideas, offering up four separate ideas and hitting big on each and every one of them. Take a look at the incredible single session gains that were available to ourselves and anyone who caught our premarket report. Out of all four of our highlighted target ranges, multibag gains were there for the taking regardless of the chosen strike price.

_____

Two of our options plays from Friday were high profile marijuana-related stocks, a sector that we have a high interest in, and in addition to logging massive gains on the options front, the stocks themselves also outperformed many others on on the day and into the premarket this morning.  TLRY has run from 8.45-14.36 while CGC increased from 21.90 to 27.25. Those moves made the following gains possible for our designated options targets:

CGC Weekly $21-21.50 Calls
$21: .92-4.00 (+335%)
$21.50: .70-3.40 (+386%)
_____

TLRY Weekly $7.50-8.50 Calls
$7.50: 1.00-4.43 (+343%)
$8: .44-4.00 (+809%)
$8.50: .31-3.50 (+1029%)

It appears we are witnessing a revitalization of the cannabis sector, which we have long been touting as a favorite market space of ours. Since the first Green Rush in 2012, we have been extremely interested in the marijuana industry and we could be on the verge of another big green wave of success! For that reason, we will dedicate our entire extended watchlist to cannabis plays today.

Fresh Options Ideas:
MCD Weekly $225-230 Calls
PLUG Weekly $18.50-20 Calls

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Pot Stocks Heating Up Again

Pot Stocks Still Heating Up

We have literally never stopped pounding the table on our interest in marijuana related stocks for more than five years now. While we cover something in the space practically every day, occasionally we sense a greater trend coming for the sector as a whole and issue reminders to our readers accordingly. The last such post, we published on November 9th, reminding our audience that we expected a resurgence heading into 2018, which figures to be a huge year for cannabis based business in general.

We gave a list of a handful of the symbols we routinely track which included MJNA, TRTC, MJTK, AGTK, GRNH, HEMP, ACBFF, APHQF,  TWMJF, and CBIS.

GRNH and CBIS are have always been two of our favorites, although as we said, the sector as a whole will continue to be a major point of focus for us going forward. GRNH. since November 7th, has trended up from a low of .0341 to a high of .072; an increase of 111% Meanwhile, CBIS, in the same span has run from .0311 to .11, for a big 254% rise.

Some of the other fantastic moves to come out of that watchlist are as follows:

MJTK – .0005-.0028 – 460%
APHQF – 6.14-13.75 – 124%
AGTK – .0099-.0415 – 319%
ACBFF – 2.77-6.86 – 148%

These are just to name a few. Our docket of cannabis plays that we follow regularly is far too large to update all in one report, but once again, we’re going to be placing a high amount of focus on everything pot related heading into and throughout 2018.

Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. APDN

We also would like to highlight APDN, a stock that has an interesting bottom setup on the chart. As you can see on the included snapshot, the PPS has been beaten back to its lowest levels since this summer, and are hovering around a solid support level.

Couple that with the company being slated for a post-market earnings report, and we’ll be interested in tracking the activity in APDN at least through the remainder of this short week, and possibly into the upcoming short week as well.
