Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Yesterday’s Movers & More

Yesterday’s Movers

Among the stocks we were mentioning in yesterday morning’s premarket report, there were quite a few that ended up turning in positive performances on the day.

Terra Tech Corp. TRTC – TRTC stood out among cannabis stocks with a healthy intraday increase of 21% as it ran from .108-.131. The stock closed with strength, just a tick below the HOD at .13.

We will continue to monitor, not only TRTC, but the marijuana space as a whole, like we were saying yesterday. There is a resurgence of activity in the sector that we feel will only increase as voting season is upon us. The legalization of industrial hemp in North Carolina this week is also a factor in re-generating a ‘buzz’ around cannabis in all its forms.

Global Digital Solutions, Inc. GDSI – GDSI is a stock we’ve continuously tracked for months now, as a quick tag search of our archives reveals. Yesterday, after including it in our extended watchlist, the stock made a healthy 51% intraday pop from a low of .0045 on up to .0068.

As measured from our recent observed low of .0012 (09/24), yesterday’s high registered as an incredible 466% swing in just a little over a month’s time.

__

Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. LBSR – Another inclusion from yesterday’s extended watchlist, LBSR put up a respectable intraday performance as well. The stock traded in a range from .0034-.0049, giving traders the chance at up to 44% profits.

Continued Recovery Watch

Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. APDN & MFC Industrial, Ltd. MIL

We wanted to take a minute to update folks on this pair of stocks that we’ve been tracking as recovery plays since Friday. While they didnt break out by any means yesterday, both managed to log higher highs and higher lows on the day, qualifying them for continued observation.

In fact, both APDN and MIL have managed to record three consecutive sessions of higher highs and higher lows since we entered them into the conversation. We’ll be interested in each case to see how far the trend will carry.

Added Note:
Speaking of bottom-bouncers, another stock with which we have been familiar in the past, is Liquid Holdings Group, Inc. LIQD. It has brought us some solid chances for gains previously, and we’ll want to closely observe as it appears to be quite oversold at the moment, and coming off of a bottom. Conditions appear to be ripening for a possible protracted rebound.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NQ, RAD Reviews & More

NQ Mobile, Inc. NQ

NQ appeared at the top of our extended watchlist yesterday and stood out as the day’s top pick. The stock increased gradually all day long from an early low of 3.86, and touched 4.77 just prior to the closing bell. That solid intraday move was good for gains of up to 24% as NQ traded close to 6X its 3-month average volume.

The spike came on the heels of a big announcement from the company as it gears up for an $80M buyback program that will last for the duration of 2015.

BEIJING and DALLAS, Dec. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ – NQ Mobile, Inc. (“NQ Mobile” or the “Company“) (NQ), a leading global provider of mobile internet services, announced today that its Board of Directors has authorized a share repurchase program under which the Company may repurchase up to US$80 million of its shares over the next 12 months. >> FULL PR

Rite-Aid Corp. RAD

Just a reminder for those who might have missed our close coverage of RAD over the past week, we latched onto this stock last Tuesday, catching it at a low of 5.79. We’ve seen incremental gains from this play from that time, and yesterday it continued to press upward, setting a new high at 7.45. That marked an overall increase of 29% that we’ve observed in just one week.

The stock continues to push its way up in premarket trading this morning, having traded as high as 7.54 so far, so we’ll be certain to pay close attention as we close out the early portion of this split trading week, and once we return on Friday.

As we stated yesterday, according to the opinions of many analysts, RAD has room to see a PPS in the $8-range, and with the movements we’ve tracked over a short period of time we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see that happen.

The markets wrap up at 1PM this afternoon for the start of the holiday break. We want to take this opportunity to extend our warmest Season’s Greetings to all of our readers regardless of how you will be spending the hiatus. Be safe and well, and we will be back bright and early on Friday to close out the week! Cheers!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DDD Update, ISR & Extended Watchlist

3D Systems Corp.  DDD

Our regular readers will recall our initial alert on DDD Options a week ago today– wherein we tagged the $52-53 Calls. In the sessions that followed, we were afforded the chance at some large gains.

The same ideas could have been put to work to kick off this week, so anyone who continued to track DDD along with us, is certainly sitting in a good position now.

For instance, the $52 Calls, which were trading at a low of 2.10, closed at 4.82, a 129% intraday move.

The $53 Calls fared even better, coming very close to yielding a double-bagger as they ran from a low of 1.37 up to 4.10, good for up to 199% in gains.

Some of the other stocks in the 3D Printing sector (Like VJET and SSYS) have also made big moves like DDD, while another play we’ve been monitoring in the space, ONVO, has yet to do so. For this reason, we want to put ONVO on watch as well, in the event that it follows suit with the other stocks in the industry.

IsoRay, Inc. ISR

ISR is one that we are going to add to our watchlist today, and it comes to us as a stock that we feel is in a good spot on its chart. We can see potential value here in the short, medium, or long term, and will begin tracking it from here on out.

As you can observe on the chart below, we’re looking at an ascending wedge on ISR, a pattern which can help to judge its trends. Whichever way it breaks out of the channel is generally where the trend will lead. A dip below support could mean heavy losses, while a breach of resistance could mean a serious breakout.

In premarket trading the stock is currently gapping up above that channel, so we have it on close watch to break out and possibly test its previous swing highs at 3.50 and above. A move past that area on the chart would mean a full-on Blue Sky Breakout, so we definitely want to pay attention.

BARCHART.COM is assigning ISR an 88% Overall “Buy” Rating

RICHLAND, WA–(Marketwired – Jun 24, 2014) – IsoRay, Inc. (NYSE MKT: ISR), a medical technology company and innovator in seed brachytherapy and medical radioisotope applications, today announced another milestone — the treatment of a brain tumor that had metastasized from esophageal cancer utilizing IsoRay’s liquid Cesium-131 (Cesitrex®) which recently was FDA cleared for internal radiation therapy. >>> FULL PR

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: End-of-Week Updates

Update on This Week’s Options Calls

Sensing the overall trend in the markets yesterday led us to profess our interest in Options Calls on these big-board stocks. It turned out to be a good decision- it wouldn’t have mattered which options chain you went with, gains were possible with all four:

FB, GOGO, PCLN, TSLA

The biggest opportunities came with GOGO and TSLA, but we’re still looking at call contracts for all of them. Additionally, we want to add FEYE and DDD to that mix as we head into the upcoming long weekend.

We’ve also been tracking AAPL Calls intensively over the past several sessions, and the stock did in fact hit new highs in the $609’s yesterday, so we’ll keep ourselves hot on the trail of potential gains in the Apple options chain as well.

It isn’t every day that we track options calls so heavily, but when we do, it seems to work out for us more often than not.

Royale Energy, Inc. ROYL

ROYL was a particularly bright spot on yesterday’s Extended Watchlist. The stock began to run right out of the gate, rapidly appreciating from it daily low of 3.12 to a subsequent high of 4.12.

That was a solid intraday move of 32% on nearly 39x its 3-month average, perhaps largely due to the PR that hit the wires yesterday:

SAN DIEGO, May 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Royale Energy, Inc. (ROYL), announced that Rampart Energy, Ltd and Royale Energy, Inc. are pleased to jointly issue an update to shareholders and stakeholders on the seismic received:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Large conventional target up to 20,000 acres in size;
  • Strongly supported by Direct Hydrocarbon Indicators (‘DHI’s’);
  • Joint interpretation of the Big Bend Cube taking place in San Diego;
  • Very strong results dovetail into drilling plans with submission of key permits for approval by Alaskan regulators;
  • Prospective Resource assessment to be completed soon. >>FULL PR

We’ll most likely be monitoring this play for awhile, as positive results from that upcoming ‘Resource Assessment’ could drive even more interest ROYL’s way.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Updates on IGC, MY, NEWL & Extended Watchlist

Extended Watchlist Winners:
Yesterday’s Extended Watchlist unearthed a couple of gems, so let’s start things off today by congratulating those who were able to capitalize on the ample chances to profit that these plays offered:

India Globalization Capital, Inc. (IGC)

IGC rewarded us for our attention with a bullish session that saw its low before 10am and ran into the close. From a daily low of 1.27, the stock pushed its way all the way up to 2.08, a highly respectable 64% intraday move, with a couple of vital swings in between that could have been timed for even more opportunities.

It did so on roughly 40x its 3-month average volume, giving us another clue that this could be a play with continued momentum. Even now, in early pre-market trading the stock has run as high as the 2.20’s so we’ll be on the lookout for one of two things; either the momentum carries it further, or profit-taking causes a pullback, in which case we’d be watching for a classic dip-and-rip on the rebound.

If the severity of yesterday’s swing action on the chart spills over into today, there could in fact be several intraday moves that we may be able to use to our advantage.

China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Limited (MY)

The other success from yesterday’s watchlist was MY. This play was one of the most gradual gainers you’re likely to see. Following its daily low of 2.83 it stair-stepped its way into the close at its high of day at 3.63. That was good for a solid intraday gain of 28% on more than four times the 3-month average volume.

Much like the previously mentioned play, we’ll be looking for MY to possibly continue its upward movement today after settling down from what appears to be another pre-market gap-up. In morning trading so far, the stock has pushed past yesterday’s high; if we see another dip-and-rip today it will be the third consecutive session in which one has occurred.

NewLead Holdings Ltd. NEWL

As we stated yesterday, we’ve been following NEWL for awhile now, and the recovery we’re seeing off of its recent bottom of .3867 has sprouted into a multi-day run that has been nothing short of impressive.

The stock gained even more ground following our morning report, wherein we mentioned that we wanted to see a break of the pre-market high of 4.20. We got that and more, as NEWL went on to reach 4.79 with volume 15x greater than normal.

Modest intraday gains of 26% were possible with NEWL yesterday, but the truly impressive figure is the five-session increase we’ve now witnessed from the above-mentioned low to yesterday’s high, which stood at 1138%

The stock also landed us in the Penny Stock Rumble for the day’s largest dollar-volume pick, with more than $160M worth of shares changing hands on the day.

Added Comments:

The markets as a whole had their best day all month on Wednesday, and it translated into gains for us. The overall sentiment is that conditions should remain favorable as long as the Fed holds off on any changes in interest rates. Following the revelation that there would be no increase at this time, the following four major players began to run:

FB, GOGO, PCLN, TSLA

We’ll be monitoring the Options Call action on all of these big-board plays for continued momentum today.
