Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SITO, NFLX Options Recap & More

SITO Mobile Ltd.  SITO

SITO has most assuredly been one of this week’s top prospects. After noticing it coming up off its annual low toward the end of last week, we introduced this stock on Wednesday morning and briefly observed a low of.1489 followed by a day of strong upward momentum.

Yesterday’s report contained a reminder to that effect, noting that the stock had closed with strength on significantly heightened volume, leading us to believe that “opportunities may yet remain”. It turned out to be another great call as the stock attained a new high yesterday as it ran into the close and attained a PPS of .279

That means, in a span of just two days we witnessed an overall increase of 87% in SITO.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Options Ideas

The NFLX $395 and $410 Options Call ideas that we floated earlier this week continued to fare extremely well yesterday. NFLX surged to $429 in daily trading and as a result those contracts went absolutely haywire.

The $395 Calls ran from a low of 12.18 up as high as 34.35, for an impressive intraday jump equaling 182%

The $410’s put up an even better performance. Those contracts registered a daily range from 2.44 to 19.50; an incredible 699% run in a single session!

No matter how you look at it, the NFLX options chain has furnished us with some amazing chances this week, and we hope some of our readers were able to get in on the fun!

FXCM, Inc. FXCM

FXCM appeared on yesterday’s extended watchlist, and it too turned in a great performance on the day. The stock traded in a range from 2.49-3.51, marking a move of 41% on volume which exceeded the monthly average by more than 10X.

This was another one we caught coming up off of a recently established 52-week low, which provides another perfect example of why we’re constantly scouring the market for these types of bottom-plays.

Pervasip Corp. PVSP

To kick off this short week we’d like to take note of PVSP, a super-subpenny stock that has recently awoken from the dead and begun to show some vigorous swings on the chart. PVSP has been bouncing around in a rough channel between .0002 and .0004 for the past couple of weeks.

Every so often we like to watch super-subpennies like this one for the low-risk-high-reward factor; with little room to fall, the rock bottom prices represent a true ground-floor opportunity. Many times in the past have we caught on with a play in this situation and reaped the benefit of rapid and monstrous upswings. We’ll keep a close eye on PVSP for the possible chance to do it again.

Last week the company announced that it had completed deal that will allow it to write approximately $2M off of its existing debt for an up-front sum of just $100K, and a later payment of $25K in October. >>> VIEW PR

Medican Enterprises, Inc. MDCN

MDCN is a marijuana-related stock that we’ve had on our long term radar for quite some time. Toward the beginning of the year we re-tagged the stock for monitoring and today seems like a good time to focus in more intently on a couple of key points that seem to indicate a possible opportunity ahead.

In addition to a recent property acquisition with potentially exciting implications (PR excerpt below), we’re catching MDCN off of its 52-week low which was just realized on Thursday. Our regular readers are well aware of how fond we are of stocks coming up off of their annual lows. We’ve successfully navigated countless plays in this exact situation, and in many cases have come up with major gains for our efforts.

LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Medican Enterprises Inc. (MDCN), a company seeking promising pharmaceutical and other business opportunities in the emerging medical and recreational marijuana sector, announced that it has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire a 7,200 square foot retail and commercial property in Phoenix, Arizona.

The property is currently leased through August 2018 to an Arizona state licensed medical marijuana dispensary. Per the purchase agreement, the lease agreement will be assigned to Medican. >> FULL PR

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FRO Review & More

Frontline Ltd. FRO

FRO has definitely turned out to be one of our biggest success stories of the past several weeks. Just to refresh people’s memories, we caught this play coming off of some of its lowest prices of the year back on December 1st. Our observed low on FRO was 1.33 at that time, and in two huge upward moves the stock has traversed quite a bit of territory since then.

Yesterday FRO achieved a high of 5.05, which marks a total increase of 280% in just under six weeks! As we did after the initial push, we could now see a possible dip-and-rip scenario. We’ll remain interested provided the stock maintains support at or above the $3-area on the pullback.

As we can see on the chart above, there is a potential Golden Cross in the making, and with tens of millions of barrels of crude to be held on tankers over the next few months given the current oil landscape, this may not be the last time we point to big moves from FRO.

BARCHART.COM is currently giving FRO a “100% Buy” rating.

Twitter, Inc. TWTR – Options

Following up on one of the options ideas we were mulling over on TWTR last week; the TWTR February $40 Calls. When we first mentioned them last Wednesday (Saw a low of 2.15), we mentioned that they “could be in line for significant gains if TWTR continues to recover off of recent lows” and we did in fact see some substantial movement.

Those Feb. $40’s hit a high of 3.70 during the day yesterday, for an overall increase of 72% in a span of just four sessions! Even further gains could be forthcoming provided TWTR continues the current trend, so we’ll want to reserve it a slot on our watchlist as we head into mid-week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TWTR Options & More

Twitter, Inc. TWTR – Options Ideas

Toward the end of 2014, TWTR underwent a bit of a downturn on the heels of some insider selling and the general sluggishness of the market. The stock was beaten back into the low $35-range, and over the past couple of sessions it has done a good job of rebounding back to its highest level since the end of November. Our interest in TWTR relates specifically to the options chain, as we’ll look to take advantage of the recovery trend that’s currently in effect.

In particular the $38 (Closed @ 1.32) and $39 (Closed @ .83) Weekly Calls are catching our eye for a day-trading idea today. There is key resistance on the chart at the 50DMA 39.35, and in the premarket so far we’ve already seen trades as high as 39.60.  Therefore, we’re watching for some early morning profit taking followed by a rally, where those contracts may provide some intraday trading opportunities later in the day.

For more of a long-term swing-trade idea, we can monitor the February $40 Calls (Closed @ 2.70).

Frontline Ltd. FRO

FRO made a nice move for us after appearing in yesterday morning’s report; the stock traded in a daily range from 2.83 to 3.27 (+15%), and did so on healthy volume to the tune of roughly 9X the 3-month average. We continue to watch FRO this morning as it gaps up in the premarket, with trades already having gone off as high as 3.61, which represents an overall increase of 28% over yesterday’s observed low.

As noted in an article on The Street, some bullish comments made about FRO on CNBC yesterday could be partly responsible for the strong session.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NQ Review & More

NQ Mobile, Inc.  NQ

Our coverage of NQ stretches all the way back to the Fall of 2013 when the stock made a huge run, and we tracked it to a similar albeit smaller-scale spike in October, so we are quite familiar with this play. We have good reason to re-assess NQ this morning in the wake of an interesting PR, coupled with a good positioning of the chart.

In terms of the NQ chart, there a couple of finer points that we’ll point out on the following snapshot:

This morning’s PR relates to a big open market stock repurchase by management which seems to be fueling NQ in the premarket. >>> VIEW PR

Cannabis Coverage:

A few of the marijuana-related stocks we were mentioning yesterday morning managed to put up some solid numbers over the course of the day.

CBIS traded in a range from .068-.08 (+17%) on roughly 4X its monthly average volume.

MCIG did slightly better as recorded a 19% move from .15 to .178, trading more than twice its average volume.

EAPH
also had a heavy volume day to the tune of roughly 3X its average, and made a healthy jump of 21% as it traded from its open at .024 to a high of .029.

As medical and recreational marijuana acceptance continues to spread, we’ll need to keep a close eye on these and many other cannabis plays, as we tend to believe that growth in this arena will be more substantial in 2015 than any previous year.

A few other pot plays to watch this week: WDHR, NRTI, MDCN, LATF, VPOR
