Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PTOP Recap & More

Peer to Peer Network PTOP
.
Subsequent to our initial alert of PTOP on November 8th, we would observe the stock trading for as little as .0004 and it has gone on quite a ride since.

We were already mentioning the solid moves it’s made in recent weeks, but yesterday the stock broke out to new highs, trading up to .022. That works out to an incredible run of 5400% which might seem over the top if not for the fact that the sector has been under mass hysteria as Bitcoin recently touched new all time highs at $19,694.68. We’ve been all over the cryptocurrency/blockchain space since a BTC was worth just a couple thousand dollars, so to see how far its come in just a short time is highly impressive.

Like many other crypto plays, PTOP has been a hot ticket item of late, and will continue to be a point of focus for us moving forward.

Fresh Options Ideas

FedEx Corp. FDX – We want to signal some contracts in the FDX chain on the heels of the company’s post-market earnings release yesterday. Trading short term options after a strong earnings report has become our butter, and FDX was already building on a significant bull run leading into yesterday. We’ll have our eye on the FDX Weekly $245-250 Calls.

Blackberry Ltd. BB – BlackBerry is on the premarket earnings calendar this morning, and with record software and services revenue, could be in line for a big day. We’re going to monitor the BB Weekly $10.50-11.50 Calls

NETE, SRAX, CLSN, XIN, RIOT, AMPE, HMNY, OHAI

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Roundup & More

Options Roundup

All of our earnings-related options ideas from yesterday’s report saw increases during the session, so we want to kick things off today by going over those performances, as well as formulating another fresh idea.

FedEx Corp. FDX- Our idea for FDX was less about the earnings figures themselves which fell short of expectations, and more about the buoyed guidance. The investment community at large felt the same way, and as a result FDX made a really nice intraday run from just above $193, to just below $196. That allowed for our ideas, the FDX Weekly $192.50-200 Calls, to put up the following gains:

$192.50 Calls – Range: 1.86-3.96 – Max Gain: 113%
$195 Calls – Range: .90-2.96 – Max Gain: 218%
$197.50 Calls – Range: .29-2.37 – Max Gain: 717%
_____

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – An analyst upgrade coupled with a solid earnings report led us to signal a range of PBR calls yesterday. We mentioned the fact that we’ve had a ton of success on countless occasions in the past trading options in this play, and our streak kept on going. We offered both an idea for the weeklies as well as a couple with an April expiration for a longer-term play, (Weekly $9 Calls – 04/21 $9.50-10.00 Calls) and we saw notable gains in all of them:

Weekly $9 Calls – Range: .12-.27 – Max Gain: 125%
04/21 $9.50 Calls
– Range: .26-.34- Max Gain: 33%
04/21 $10.00 Calls
– Range: .14-.19 – Max Gain: 36%
_____

Dollar Tree, Inc. DLTR – We also highlighted the DLTR 04/21 $78-80 Calls, and while they did see marginal increases, it was nothing to write home about just yet. That’s why we just wanted to remind our readers that these are longer-term idea which could take some time to show us the sort of upward moves we’re looking for.
_____

FRESH IDEA:

Snap, Inc. SNAP – Our bearish signal on SNAP Friday led to success in the SNAP Weekly $20 Puts that we were watching. They gained 246% intraday running from .30-1.04.

Today, we want to reverse our strategy and go with some calls, the SNAP Weekly $22-23.50 Calls to be exact.

Moleculin Biotech, Inc. MBRX

We had MBRX in our extended watchlist yesterday, and were pleased with its solid performance on the day. The stock ran from 1.15 to a high of 1.51, which works out to a respectable intraday increase of 31% The move came on immense volume of more than 40X the 30-day average, so we’ll definitely be interested in continuing to track MBRX as we head into the end of the week.

Extended Watchlist:
DOLV, MCOA, CGIX, PENN, FEYE, HTGM, ZSAN

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AUPH Update, Options & More

Aurinia Pharmaceuticals, Inc. AUPH

We’ve been tracking AUPH in the roughly seven weeks since our mention of it on January 27th, and for a stock that started out at lows of 2.95 subsequent to that report, it sure has been quite a ride.

We followed it all the way to a high of 10.54 last week, which was an increase of 257% over our observed low. As is expected when a stock sees such a sharp rise in such a short period, AUPH did begin to consolidate, but that was only in preparation of another nice swing. From 7.51, where it ultimately found support, AUPH went on to reach 9.83 yesterday, which marks a 31% upswing on the rebound.

It’s the volatility in AUPH, which has been terrific for a stock in its price range, that makes it such an interesting stock to watch, and we’ll continue to have it on our radars moving forward.

Fresh Options Ideas  – We’ve got a trio of options ideas this morning that are earnings-related. Solid earnings generally give stocks a sizable enough boost to provide great opportunities in the options chain. It’s a phenomenon we’ve observed time and time again, so here’s what’s hitting our scanner this time:

FedEx Corp. FDX- While FDX didn’t meet the expectations of Wall Street on its earnings yesterday post-market, very optimistic guidance from the CEO in which he stated “margins, cash flows and returns are going to increase over the next several years” has the stock gapping up this morning to the tune of 5% We’re going to be standing at the ready with the FDX Weekly $192.50-200 Calls to try to take advantage of the immediate reaction.
_____

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – We’ve had a ton of success with trading PBR options in the past, and are going to revisitWe are going to signal a range of short and longer-term options for PBR, which had a whirlwind release yesterday post-market in which it revealed a profit for 2016 and a cut to debt levels, which also helped to earn it an analyst upgrade from Credit Suisse Group AG. We’ll be looking at the PBR Weekly $9 Calls, as well as the PBR 04/21 $9.50-10.00 Calls.
_____

Dollar Tree, Inc. DLTR – Dollar Tree held its earnings call last week, so the reaction isn’t as fresh, but we’re more interested in what this one is going to do over a more extended period. They reported net sales increases of 5% year-over-year, while diluted earnings-per-share spiked over 40% year-over-year. We also like the look of the chart from a technical perspective, currently at a double-bottom on the chart and looking like it’s ripe for a recovery. We’re going to zero in on the DLTR 04/21 $78-80 Calls.

Options Updates

We targeted a range of options calls in both FedEx and Adobe yesterday, as both stocks were showing good premarket activity on the heels of their earnings reports. It illustrated perfectly why we’re always formulating post-earnings options ideas.

FDX Weekly $165-170 Calls
$165
– Range: 5.35-9.00 – Max Gain: 68%
$167.50 – Range: 3.16-6.71 – Max Gain: 112%
$170 – Range: 1.42-4.18 – Max Gain: 194%

ADBE 10/21 $100-110 Calls
$100 – Range: 6.55-8.58 – Max Gain: 31%
$105 – Range: 2.80-4.21 – Max Gain: 50%
$110 – Range: .83-1.41 – Max Gain: 70%

Both stocks are gapping up again this morning, so we expect to see extended gains on these contracts today.

Recovery Play Updates

Yesterday’s session confirmed validation of all three of the bottom-bouncers  that we highlighted in Tuesday’s premarket report.

MGT Capital Investments, Inc. MGT and ACRE Realty AIII – These were both new for us on Tuesday, getting our attention as stocks that were heavily oversold after reaching new lows. As it turns out, we timed those bottoms perfectly, as you can see in the side-by-side chart snapshot below.

So far the range we’ve observed on MGT is from 1.77-2.58, a 46% rise, and in AIII, a move up from .90-1.20 (+33%). We’ll stay on their trails to watch for a continuation of these rebounds.

_____

NovaVax, Inc. NVAX –  While it did appear on our Bottom-Bounce Watchlist on Tuesday, NVAX began its own recovery when we initially brought it to the table in Monday’s report.  We’ve included a snap of this chart as well so you can see the excellent progress it’s made since then.

To this point we’ve witnessed a three day swing of  43% from 1.36-1.94. The stock closed at that high, so it too will be granted a reserved slot on our radars in coming sessions.

_____

Jammin’ Java Corp. JAMN

We alerted JAMN as a potential bottom-play last Tuesday and it too has made a solid move to the upside since then.

We saw the low come in at .0011 following that mention, and yesterday the stock reached a new high of .0025. That represents a 127% rip off of its lows in just over a week’s time.

StrikeForce Technologies, Inc. SFOR

This is a stock that we’ve been familiar with in both the distant and recent past, and we included it once again in yesterday’s report. The stock kept piling on the excellent momentum we’ve observed over the past few sessions, and ultimately set a new high for us, falling just short of breaking the penny barrier.

SFOR traded in a modest intraday range  from .008 up to .0095, a 19% increase, closing strong once again at .0094. From the low we observed following our next most recent mention of the stock  (.0036) the new high represented an overall swing of 164%

We’ll be interested to see if SFOR can maintain momentum and breach into Pennyland. The last time it came close was nearly a year ago.

Extended Watchlist:
MSTX, CNAT, CTIC, APYP, MAXD, NUGN

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NWBO Review, Options & More

Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc. NWBO

We’ve been mentioning NWBO this week beginning on Monday, and yesterday, despite already having seen some solid gains from the stock, we were met with a second consecutive solid intraday performance.

NWBO traded in a daily range from .551 to .76, which marked a surge to the upside of 38% and from our observed low subsequent to its appearance in our morning report on Monday (.5018), yesterday’s high represented a two-day swing of 51%

We’ll continue to track the progress here, and will be anxious to see if the stock can maintain it’s multi-day runner status.

More Bottom-Watchers

Yesterday we submitted a bottom watchlist consisting of three oversold stocks that we’re going to want to keep on our radars for the possibility of an eventual rebound (MGT, AIII, NVAX). This morning, we’d like to add a couple more to that list for us to monitor in sessions ahead.

Each of the following stocks appears to be egregiously oversold, and both have just registered new 52-week lows; two key components we look for when searching for potential recovery plays.

Gordman’s Stores, Inc. GMAN

Towerstream Corp. TWER

Fresh Options Ideas

We also want to delve back into the realm of options trading this morning, with a couple of ideas based on post-market earnings releases yesterday.

Our new targets are the following:

FDX Weekly $165-170 Calls

ADBE 10/21 $100-110 Calls

EBIO, GLRI, USLV, SFOR, LOGX, ADMS
