VDSC, MJNA & Extended Watchlist

ALAS International Holdings, Inc. VDSC

After a slightly rocky start yesterday morning in which it pulled back to .0128, VDSC surged back, gaining 28% as it touched .0164 in the afternoon, and closed with strength near that high of day (.016). We pointed out on the chart yesterday that a Golden Cross was imminent, and that occurred as well.

We are going to be keeping a keen eye on this stock today as well, although it has already seen four consecutive days of gains, so the time for locking in profits could be close-at-hand.

BARCHART.COM is currently giving VDSC an 88% Overall “Buy” Rating

Medical Marijuana, Inc. MJNA

We’ve had this stock on our radar for over a year now. Following an alert on August 9th , it was trading as low as .032. By mid-February, we witnessed a surge to as high as .50, for an overall increase of 1463%!

Since that time, it had been in an overall downtrend until just recently falling back to the twelve-cent range. The stock has now begun to show signs of recovery, and our focus has been drawn back to MJNA due to the current setup on the chart. As we’ve pointed out below, there is a promising look to it, with the MACD having just crossed. We’d like to see it continue to hold support off of the 200DMA and 20DMA (.152 & .189 respectively) and start to push towards that 50DMA at .238.

We also wanted to talk about this old favorite of ours as the company has just released its updated quarterly report which boasts higher-than-projected net income:

Operating highlights of the quarter were as follows:

Expanded its portfolio of innovated cannabinoid based phyto-medical companies with an investment in KannaLife Sciences. KannaLife Sciences, Inc. is a late stage bio-pharmaceutical and phyto-medical company involved in the research and development of novel new therapeutic agents designed to reduce oxidative stress, and act as immuno-modulators and neuroprotectants.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: VDSC & Extended Watchlist

ALAS International Holdings, Inc. VDSC

VDSC appeared on yesterday morning’s extended watchlist, and went on to have one heck of a session. After opening at .0096, the stock surged as high as .0148, for a possible intraday gain of 54% before it receded back to close at .0135. This wasn’t the first time since then that we’ve included VDSC in our extended watchlist. Back on March 11th following a morning alert, the stock was trading as low as .0013, which to yesterday’s high. marks a whopping increase of 1038%

Back in early January the stock made a really impressive move from .0007, to .0093 by the end of the month. We’d like to see that breached resistance level at .0093 hold as future support in the event of a pullback.

Options Trading
We also have FSLR $55 Calls on our radar this morning. They closed at .29 yesterday. We expect the stock to gap up this morning, at which time we will be looking for a dip-and-rip scenario.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CETV, HIDC

Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. CETV

CETV came to our attention on Friday as a part of a scan we conducted for companies with a recent Form 4 filing. We mentioned that the insider, who purchased nearly $75M in CETV stock at 2.75/share, in this case was Time Warner, and how interested we were to continue to follow that storyline.

After trading as low as 2.67 on Friday, we are seeing pre-market trades this morning taking CETV as high as 2.95. A pretty good start, although we are currently viewing this as a longer-term play. We will continue to monitor this stock for the foreseeable future.

Harbor Island Development Corp. HIDC

This momentum play just broke out of a sideways channel and came off of its bottom, so we thought we’d pass it along this morning. HIDC broke through its 10DMA yesterday at .006, and we’d like to see that hold as support. The next resistance is at the 20DMA of .016. As you can see on the included chart below, the stock is coming off of being oversold, so we want to monitor carefully for a continuation of the recovery which began yesterday.

UNLA | Unilava Corp: Momentum Alert

Unilava Corp. UNLA

We have yet another momentum alert for you this morning. UNLA has come to our attention via our abnormal volume scanner as a stock that has begun an uptrend after coming off of a recent bottom. The last time the stock traded the level of volume that was observed yesterday, was in late December to early January, and it ran from .0025-.03. Conditions on the chart suggest it could be gearing up for another breakout, so we wanted to pass it along this morning.

On the chart below you can see that UNLA currently boasts an RSI that is getting ready to pass through the 50-line and the 50DMA. There was a hammer candle formation yesterday, as the stock bumped its head into the 50 and 20DMA’s at .0066, and .0069 respectively. The PPO is currently pinching, and preparing to cross, and the Slow STO recently crossed over, with the lines beginning to diverge.

It seems .013 and .03 are the next main areas of resistance following the 20 and 50 Day Moving Averages, so any trouble UNLA might have getting over those humps may be an indicator to take whatever profits we’ve gained by that point off the table.

Options Trading

Last Thursday, we mentioned that we were looking into the SPY 153.50 Calls as we saw the SPY gapping up. They traded as low as 1.04, and ended up closing at 1.45. Then on Friday, they opened over two dollars,  hit 2.09 in the first ten minutes of trading, and by later that afternoon had pulled back to 1.28. We then saw a subsequent run to a new high of 2.13. Savvy traders could have flipped the SPY 153.50 Calls twice in as many days, with gains totaling more than 150%

We are looking for a consolidation from the SPY in the beginning of this week, and plan to revisit it later in the week for a bounce.

___

Xtreme Oil & Gas, Inc. XTOG &

Sun River Energy, Inc. SNRV

These two oil & gas plays hit our scanners recently. The energy sector is remarkably hot right now, and here are just a couple of related stocks that are maintaining our interest as we begin this new trading week.

After each made significant moves last week, we are going to be on the lookout for continued momentum and/or bounce plays moving forward.

___

Liquidmetal Technologies, Inc. LQMT

This is another stock that we pulled off of our scanners this weekend. The action on Friday pushed the stock above its 20DMA. We are looking at the nine-cent 50DMA as the next key level of resistance, and if it can push past that, we feel it could go back to .105, a recent swing-high from a couple weeks back. We’d like to see support continue to hold in the .07-.08 range.

___

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. PPHM

PPHM is a big board stock that has done exceedingly well for us on several occasions, dating back to early last year when we first began tracking its movements.

During Friday’s session session, PPHM showed strength as it cracked through its 200DMA at 1.50, which is a bullish confirmation. We’d like to see that level hold as support. The next key resistance sits at the 50DMA of 1.78.

The MACD is kissing, and appears ready to converge for a cross, and the RSI is steadily strengthening, touching the 50-line as it makes its way up towards the power zone.
