Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MYOS Recap, Gold Plays & More

  MYOS RENS Technology, Inc. MYOS

Easily the most solid performer that was discussed in yesterday morning’s premarket report, MYOS stole the show with everything we look for in a daily runner- an early burst that gives traders a chance at some nice intraday gains, high volume, and maintaining a good portion of the gains it makes into the close.

MYOS checked all three of those boxes yesterday, running early from its daily low of 3.61 up to a high of 5.48, which worked out to a nice 52% pop. MYOS closed at 4.72, maintaining over half of its daily advance, and did so on well over eight times the monthly average trading volume.

An all around performance like that certainly earns MYOS a continued slot on our radar screens in sessions ahead.

VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX)

With gold being so solid in the month of February, and indeed for most of 2017 so far, we want to rehash the idea we put forth on some GDX options and update our readers on their performance.

We initially signaled the GDX 02/10 $24-25.50 Calls in our report from January 23rd. Now set to expire on Friday, we wanted to circle back and remind our members of the kind of gains that could have been secured with this idea.

Here’s what they’ve done so far, and with gold continuing its climb, we can’t rule out seeing these upward trading range extended even further between now and the end of the week:

$24 Calls – Range: .32-1.46 – Max Gain: 356%
$24.50 Calls – Range: .19-1.05 – Max Gain: 453%
$25 Calls – Range: .11-.67 – Max Gain: 509%
$25.50 Calls – Range: .06-.39 – Max Gain: 550%

_________

Direxion Daily Gold Miners Bull 3X ETF (NUGT) – Another gold analog we’ve got a history with is NUGT, so we’re also going to highlight some contracts that have some potential here as well. Being a triple-leveraged fund, the activity in NUGT resembles that of GDX, but the magnitude of the percentage gains it has made on its chart over the same period are notably higher.

Should the massive gold rally maintain its trend, we could be looking at some serious moves in the NUGT Weekly $13-14 Calls, so that’s where we’ll set our sights with this one.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NUGT Options Recap & More

Direxion Daily Gold Miners Bull 3X ETF (NUGT)

NUGT has been on a fairly consistent rise for the past few weeks along with gold itself, and we were able to use the continuation of that trend to our extreme advantage yesterday.

We dropped a quick options idea for the NUGT Weekly $9-9.50 Calls into our watchlist, stipulating that we’d need to see a break of the 50DMA. We got what we were looking for, and the potential gains that followed were substantial.

$9 Calls – Range: .56-1.53 – Max Gain: 173%
$9.50 Calls – Range: .30-1.07 – Max Gain: 257%

Chat reminder: Also, we noticed the magnitude of the activity was going to allow for gains to made at higher increments, so we also suggested rolling up to the $10 Calls shortly after the open. Those ended up running 172% from from .25-.68.

We were just mentioning the benefits of our daily traders chats the other day, and here we have a fine example of why reading our premarket reports can be greatly augmented by participating in our in-session chats as well. Again, just send a Skype contact request to ‘stocksumo’ if you wish to join us!  Any of our readers are welcome!

TransEnterix Inc. TRXC – Insider Buying

We noticed a filing for a huge $5.2M insider position increase on TRXC at a price of 1.40, which coincides closely with recent relative lows, and isn’t too far above the stock’s annual low. We’ll be very interested to follow along with this stock after such a vote of confidence from an existing investor.  (>>View Filings)

Added Note: Speaking of insider trading plays, we also wanted to add a quick reminder on the one we submitted yesterday in STON. The stock made modest headway in continuing its established uptrend with a light 8% increase on the day, and will continue to be on our radars moving forward.

Immune Pharmaceuticals, Inc. IMNP

Additionally, we have a reminder to put out on IMNP, which we put on bottom-watch in our report dated December 27th. It took roughly a week of sideways trading for the stock to begin to perk its head up, but yesterday it began to gain some ground so we just wanted to remind readers that we still have this one on our viewscreens.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MYHI Run Continues, Options & More

Mountain High Acquisitions Corp. MYHI

Yesterday morning’s first mention was MYHI, which we had tracked the day prior over an impressive 94% span ranging from a low of .09 to .1745 on the first trading day of the new year.

We said we’d stay on MYHI’s trail after that momentous push, and the stock responded well with another bullish session yesterday wherein it achieved a new high of .239, and closed with strength yet again. From Tuesday;’s low of .09, yesterday’s high represents a two-session upswing of 166%

We’ll reiterate yesterday morning’s sentiment in saying that we’ll continue to monitor MYHI for further recording of higher highs and higher lows, and at some point, we expect a consolidation that should lead to a dip-and-rip pattern on the chart.

Connexus Corp. CNXS

Also appearing in yesterday’s premarket report was CNXS, which went on to have quite a solid session itself, particularly in the early goings.

The stock traded in a range from .001 to .0028 inside of the first 90 minutes of trading, which comes out to an intraday rip of 180% It managed to close just above both its current 50 and 200DMA’s so we’ll definitely want to keep a space on our watch screens reserved for CNXS in sessions ahead.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ANF – Options Update

ANF did our bidding to a tee yesterday. While we did signal a range of extended-term options contracts, we made it a point to mention that the gain opportunities could be there right from the start. We turned out to be spot-on in that regard.

We highlighted the ANF 02/17 $12-15 Calls, which all provided chances to profit right from the word go. That being said, with loads of time before expiration, we’ll be very interested to see how a continued uptrend for ANF and the magnitude of the added gains that would facilitate.

$12 Calls – Range: 1.10-1.40 – Max Gain: 27%
$13 Calls – Range: .60-.79 – Max Gain: 32%
$14 Calls – Range: .32-.44 – Max Gain: 38%
$15 Calls – Range: .12-.20 – Max Gain: 67%

StoneMor Partners L.P.  STON

We’ve spotted a bottom-bouncer in STON this morning that appears to have loads of upside potential. We’ve included a chart below, and pointed out the various aspects that have us interested in tracking the stock’s activity in sessions ahead. On top of that, we’re also taking into consideration the Form-4’s for a string of big insider buys that were made in the past week.

Should it prove able to break through resistance around the present 50DMA in the low 10.50’s, things could get more than a little interesting.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Yesterday’s Major Movers & More

It was a great start to the 2017 trading year yesterday, with multiple movers offering up opportunities for solid single-session gains. In addition to a handful of the stocks we were watching streaking their way upward, our options idea also fared well, with the markets in general kicking off the year on a strong note.

Mountain High Acquisitions Corp. MYHI – First up is MYHI, which exhibited a big breakout from a low of  .09 and running as high as .1745. That was good for the largest intraday gain, coming in at 94% and occurring on considerable volume.

We’ll continue to monitor the situation with MYHI, and possibly be on the lookout for a dip-and-rip pattern. Should the stock briefly come down off of these highs, there could be another opportunity to time the subsequent bounce.
_____

Oceanic Research & Recovery Inc. ORRV – ORRV has continuously pushed the envelope since we first began talking about it a week ago today and yesterday was no exception. We observed yet another big run, with the stock jumping from .0019 to a new high of .0036. That goes down as an intraday pop of 89%, and extends our observed range on this play inside a week by a considerable margin.

As of the .0005 we witnessed last week, yesterday’s top mark represented a total upswing of 620%

*Side Note: Anyone who participates in our daily traders chats could have gotten in even lower the previous day, at .0003, from which point yesterday’s new high marked a move of 1100%  *Send a Skype contact request to “stocksumo” to participate in our in-session traders chats!
_____

Hiru Corp HIRU – Another excellent play was HIRU, which started the day off at a low of .0008 and persisted with a steady climb throughout the session to wind up closing at its high of day, at .0013.

That was a daily increase of  63% and of course, anytime we see a stock end the session at its high, we always want to be on the lookout for continued momentum.

ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures SVXY

Suspecting that the bullish premarket sentiment would spill over into yesterday’s trading session, we signaled some options in the SVXY chain, namely the SVXY Weekly $93.50-95.50 Calls.

While we didn’t sweep the range in terms of hefty gains, there was considerable open interest in two sets which allowed for significant profits- the $94 and $95 Calls. The $94’s ran from  2.30-3.64 (+58%), and the $95’s traded up from 1.75 as high as 3.39 (+94%)
_____

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ANF – Fresh Options Idea

We want to signal a range of options ideas for ANF, which is just coming off of its annual lows, and showing some signs of a reversal.

We’ll want to be ready to take advantage of a recovery, by using the ANF 02/17 $12-15 Calls, which gives us several weeks for a rebound to materialize. That being said, the gain opportunities could come sooner rather than later, so we want to be mindful of that.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: More Cannabis Updates

Zerez Holdings ZRZH

ZRZH provided us with a healthy intraday gain opportunity for the second straight session yesterday. Despite making its really big move on Monday, it still managed to trade in a range from .014 to a new high of .019; a 36% pop.

As we were just mentioning yesterday morning, the incredible run started out from a low of .0037 on Monday, so the two-day spike that we’ve witnessed comes out to 414% All that after simply noticing the stock wake up from a slumber in the prior session, so congrats to any who were able to use our alert to their advantage here.

While not directly involved in the cannabis space, we consider this one to be related in light of their smart greenhouse technology that is set to take advantage of renewed and ongoing interest in the cannabis growing business.

Galenfeha, Inc. GLFH

GLFH was another inclusion from Monday’s report that has steadily ramped its way up so far this week. Its range carried it up 35% from .026-.035 on our first day of observance, and yesterday it pushed its upper limit once again.

This time, the trading range was another modest move-up from .037-.043 (+16%) and the new high extended the total gains we’ve seen thus far to 65% in a two-session span. We’d be perfectly happy to see the stock continue its slow ascent in this fashion.

The Second Green Rush Continues

We once again took to the pages of our newsletter yesterday to urge everyone to zero in on marijuana related stocks due to the massive surge of volume and price increases that have hit the sector of late, and figure to continue through election day.

We’re counting on the passage of California’s recreational bill to pass, and of course, there are several other states where it’s a possibility as well. All in all, the cannabis space could balloon by a significant percentage of its current size and the moves we’re seeing already seem to be an advanced indicator of that.

Cannabics, Inc. CNBX – We first began calling for our readers to track CNBX on October 5th at which time we would see a low of .06. We’ve seen it go up hundreds of percentage points since then, and yesterday it piled on with another great session.

It traded in a daily range from .65-.94, for added gains of 45%, and an overall move up from our observed low totaling 1467% in just over three weeks!
____

Marijuana Company of America, Inc. MCOA – MCOA is another continued mover. When placing it in yesterday’s report, it had already made a move of 490% from our witnessed low of .0094 to .0555.

Yesterday’s session added a run from .052 to .07 (+35%), which extends the gains we’ve seen on this play to 546% in less than a month’s time.
____

Honorable Mention: Also among the pot plays highlighted in yesterday’s report was VAPE which posted a nice intraday gain as well. The stock traded from .01545-.022, for gains of up to 42% on the day.

Direxion Daily Gold Miners Bull 3X ETF (NUGT) – Options Idea

With the markets in general showing reticence over the impending election and the inherent uncertainties therein, we’re seeing some rocky road ahead in coming sessions for the dollar, so we want to have a plan in place for taking advantage of that, with a bullish gold call on NUGT.

To do that, we’re going to utilize the NUGT Weekly $15.50-16.50 Calls in the event that our suspicions on the state of things prove accurate.
