Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Update, Bottom-Watcher & More

Alibaba Group Holding, Ltd. BABA

First up this morning will be a review of yesterday’s options trading idea that we had for BABA as it came off of an earnings beat. The range of contracts we wanted to track were the BABA Weekly $77-81 Calls and while the stock didn’t make a big enough push to facilitate gains in all of them, we saw some nice action on the lower end. The $77-78’s each made two significant intraday swings that could have been traded upon for the following gains:

$77 Calls – Trading Ranges: 2.00-2.75 (+37%), 1.50-2.30 (+53%)
$77.50 Calls – Trading Ranges: 1.55-2.32 (+49%), 1.37-1.87 (+36%)
$78 Calls– Trading Ranges: 1.20-1.90 (+58%), .83-1.45 (+75%)

Nate’s Food Co. NHMD

There was no need to be patient with NHMD after we tagged it for observation just prior to the opening bell in yesterday’s premarket report. We noted that the stock had seen some momentum buildup; we were looking for a carryover and found it.

The sizable intraday swing came early in the session as NHMD ran from a low of .004-.0074, an 85% pop. It enacted a bit of a dip and rip into a close at .006. We’ll leave a space on our radar screens reserved to monitor NHMD moving forward, as volatile subpenny plays like this can often be good for daily flip opportunities.

JTH Holding, Inc. TAX – Bottom-Watcher

We’ve got an interesting chart setup in TAX, which as you can plainly see without the aid of annotation on the snapshot below, is currently looking egregiously oversold. Even as Liberty Tax was recently voted “Best of the Best” by Entrepreneur magazine(>>View PR) the stock has been taking a tremendous beating.

Over the past few sessions the stock seems to have been trying to find support in the low $11-range, and that is where we come in. We like to track stocks after they’ve been pounded into the pavement for possible rebound plays, as our regular readers knew very well. In the case of TAX, a return to its 50DMA at which it was trading less than a month ago, would mean gains exceeding 50% over yesterday’s closing price.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Reviewing EYES, MNST & More

Second Sight Medical Products, Inc. EYES

When we first began tracking EYES in last Tuesday’s morning report, the stock was trading at a low of 9.55, and it would spend the next two sessions bulling its way up as high as the 14.40’s. On Thursday, the stock underwent a slight consolidation, coming back to ultimately find support in the 11.80-range.

Then on Friday, EYES made another significant run as it exploded out of the gate at a low of 12.17 and soared to an afternoon high of 17.39. It marked an strong intraday gain of 47% on more than 16x the 3-month average volume.

That high also resulted in an overall increase of 82% above the low we observed on Tuesday morning, an incredible 4-day swing for a stock trading in this price range.

Friday’s Options Idea

We also want to take a minute to congratulate any of our readers who connected on our options daytrading idea for Monster Beverage Corp. MNST from Friday’s report. Just to refresh your memories, we speculated that $135-137 Weekly Calls might have been in line to see some rapid upward moves, and that’s precisely what occurred as the stock made its own solid run.

The first hour saw MNST trading the entire breadth of its daily range from a low of 137.72 to a high of 143.89, and as a result, our targeted contracts saw sharp rises in excess of roughly 200%

Added Reminder:

For some of our newer readers who may not be familiar with our operating procedures, EnXnet, Inc. EXNT is going to serve as an excellent reminder of why we encourage our subscribers to check our blog at BlueHorseshoeStocks.com each morning, even if you’ve already read our report via email or a republish on a Third-Party website.

Very often, we catch runners early in the session that were not included in our daily premarket report, and when this occurs, we place these symbols on our sidebar tracker.

Just such a occurrence came in the form of EXNT on Friday at approximately 9:50AM when we spotted it and placed it on the tracker. From that time on, the stock traded up 137% from a low of .04 to subsequent high of .095, so again, we encourage everyone to visit Blue Horseshoe Stocks after trading commences each morning to catch potential late-adds just like EXNT.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Pot Stocks Going Viral

The Green Rush ContinuesHemp stocks continue to grow like weeds this week, and it has become increasingly clear that the trending toward this sector has now gone beyond the realm of mere retail, and into the hard-hitting arena of institutional trading. In some of these high-flying stocks, we were seeing bids worth tens of thousands of dollars stack up like hotcakes, and volume was through the roof, pretty much across the board. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2014, or a more solid validation of the long years we’ve spent following tons of cannabis stocks. We feel as if the success we’ve found thus far is just a taste of what’s to come. Just look at the following scan of the most active OTC stocks yesterday. Every single one is on our long-term marijuana tracking list:

As you can see, it is getting extremely difficult to track the individual story of every winner, because practically all of them have been going bananas! As we had to do yesterday, we’ll just list out the most impressive performances:

GreenGrow Technologies, Inc. GRNH

If we were impressed by GRNH’s run from .045 to .55 earlier this week, then we were astounded to see this one bull its way over a dollar, topping out at 1.20!  The roughly 1100% gain we had already gotten out of GRNH turned into a massive 2566% change from it’s low of .045. It held more than 50% of the day’s gains, closing just below .80.

Creative Edge Nutrition, Inc. FITX

We saw a low of .0054 from FITX this week (Monday), and yesterday it just kept on moving. The stock bull-rushed up to a high of .03, a great 455% increase off of its low over just a three day period. Like alot of these plays, FITX closed strong, holding much of its ground at .0251.

Tranzbyte Corp. ERBB

ERBB was at .0026 early this week, and as of yesterday we’ve now followed it to a high of .0139. That’s a rapid gain of 435% The stock traded over 650M shares, shattering its 45M average.

Hemp, Inc. HEMP

HEMP was trading as low as .0153 when we tagged it in our report on New Year’s Eve. Yesterday’s frenzy carried it to .081, which represents an increase of 429%

Cannabis Science, Inc. CBIS

We’ve watched CBIS come off of its 52-wk lows (.028) in December, and it has been a bull-rush ever since. Yesterday’s high of .1185 equates to potential profits of up to 323%

Easton Pharmaceuticals, Inc. EAPH

We added EAPH to our blog in an update we published at 10:30am yesterday. At the time the stock had just begun to break out and was trading at .0041. Lucky for us, the breakout had only just begun. It would go on to touch a high of .0144 shortly before market-close, representing a single session gain of 251% from the low we caught.

SK3 Group, Inc. SKTO

Back in the fall, we tracked SKTO from the .013-range, and it made a push up toward .02. The stock has been as low as the .004-range as recently as late December. Yesterday, it would open just below a penny and run to more than three cents, joining the other pot related stocks in this mad-rush for profits.

GrowLife, Inc. PHOT

Our observed low of .157 (01/02) on PHOT was increased by 145% as the stock hit a high .385 yesterday. It’s amazing when you have to think of double-baggers as some  of the more mild performances, but that’s just what this green revolution has achieved.

Terra Tech Corp. TRTC

We observed a price of .193 on Tuesday in TRTC, and yesterday’s continued onslaught of buying pushed this one as high as .43. For anyone keeping track (We are!), that’s a two-day rip of 123%

AVT, Inc. AVTC

AVTC was new to our “weed watchlist” yesterday, and after a low of 4.48 the stock shot out of the gate like a rocket, zooming to a subsequent 8.00-high, a gain of 79% . After pulling back to 3.90, it then rebounded to 5.30, adding a 36% swing, and bringing cumulative gains on the day to 115%

If all that isn’t enough to make your head spin, then nothing will. Stay tuned for further reports, as the medical and legal marijuana story has only just begun to be written. We’ll be tracking these things closely for a long time to come.

DEJ, PHOT & Extended Watchlist

Dejour Energy, Inc.  DEJ

We’re taking a look at DEJ this morning, an oil & gas play that is coming off of a recent bottom. Indicators on the chart seem to be ripening, so we wanted to put DEJ on everyone’s radar. As you can see, the RSI is coming off of being oversold, while the MACD is in the process of a bullish cross, with the blue bars on the histogram also flipping up to the bullish side.

Yesterday the company announced its entry into a letter of intent on a deal that will partner it with a privately-held energy company out of Singapore, and bring in a substantial amount of capital in the process:

VANCOUVER, British Columbia–(BUSINESS WIRE)-Dejour Energy Inc. (TSX:DEJ) (NYSE MKT:DEJ), an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company operating in North America’s Piceance Basin and Peace River Arch regions, today announces that it has signed a Letter of Intent to create a strategic joint venture partnership with a private Singapore based energy company (‘SECO’) to develop the company’s Colorado oil and gas assets.

Upon completion of due diligence, legal documentation and requisite approvals expected prior to January 31, 2014, SECO will invest an initial sum of up to $27.5mm in 2014 and 2015 to earn an 85% share in Dejour’s interests in its Colorado properties  >> FULL PR

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

Many of you know, we’ve been pounding the table on PHOT and the marijuana industry as a whole for well over a year now. Beginning back in August, we started to ramp up our coverage of this stock. At the time PHOT was trading as low as .0299, and has continued to push the envelope ever since, bringing us up to the present where PHOT is now officially in Blue Sky Breakout mode.

The stock has reached lofty highs culminating in yesterday’s run up to .14, which represents an astonishing 368% increase off of the low we just mentioned, in just a few months’ time.

As is the case with any runner that’s streaking into the Blue Sky, we want to be cautious of a potential reversal. In the event of  pullback, we’d like to see support hold at the previous resistance level of .1045.

Important Industry Side Note: Not only have there been recent talks within the NY State legislature about plans for a bill that would legalize the drug in New York as it has been in Washington and Colorado, but Uruguay also recently became the first country in the world to effect nationwide legalization and regulation of growth, sales, and trade. The idea that marijuana prohibition is both ineffective and harmful on many levels is finally beginning to gain real headway in the mainstream.

LWSP | Legacy Wine & Spirits International, Ltd. | Today’s Focus

Legacy Wine & Spirits International Ltd. LWSP

On Friday, LWSP closed at its high-of-day, so we’ve been eager for trading to resume today, as closing at the HOD is almost always a bullish indicator.

During Friday’s session, in which we saw the stock open at .0128, a low of .0112 was observed before the strong close at .0173, marking an intraday gain of 54%

One key point on which to focus would be the breaching of a significant resistance level at .015, which we’d like to see held as a future level of support, with a penny being the minimum level of support we’d like to see.

We’ve seen LWSP return to an area on the chart that has not been traversed since 2011, and there appears to be little in the way of resistance on up to the .03-.05 range.
