Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NVAX, NQ & More

Novavax, Inc. NVAX

NVAX is the latest Ebola-related stock to catch our eye, and while the initial fear that was driving a lot of these plays has calmed as people realize that the virus doesn’t exactly spread like wildfire, there is much being made of efforts to find a working vaccine and NVAX is attempting to answer that call.

The company announced today that it had presented at the 8th Vaccine and ISV Conference in Philadelphia on Sunday on what was called the first Ebola Vaccine Candidate based on the 2014 Guinea strain that caused the current outbreak in West Africa.

The company said it expects to begin Phase I testing by December, so we’re going to add NVAX to our watchlists for the time being. Additionally, the stock is gapping up to the tune of 10% here in the premarket, and the chart appears to have the possibility of a Golden Cross in the making.

NQ Mobile, Inc. NQ

This is a play we’ve tracked continuously since late this spring. After witnessing a nice move back in July from the low $4-range to the mid-$7’s, the stock had been under general consolidation until it found and bounced off of support about 6 weeks ago. It has made a nice steady recovery from that point on, and is gaining more traction this morning as it gaps up in the premarket on the heels of a PR.

The mobile security has just company submitted the necessary back-filings to once again become fully compliant, and no anomalies or adverse findings were uncovered, which adds another dimension to this play.

We also like the space NQ operates in- with mobile devices permeating every aspect of the current culture, the need for mobile security services such as those provided by NQ only stands to grow in the future.

Side Note:
PTIE, DRRX (Two that are gapping down significantly; we will want to watch for an eventual bounce)

SING, USEI, AEGY & Extended Watchlist

Singlepoint, Inc. SING

SING was an unbelievable gainer for us yesterday, so much so that we felt the need to send out an afternoon alert just to make sure everyone was paying attention. After briefly touching .0195 just after the open, the stock went into beast-mode and rampaged its way into the close at its high of day, .084, a 331% intraday move on roughly 12x its 3mo. average volume.

At the time of our afternoon update (2:30pm) the stock was trading at .044, so even those who missed the morning report could have still made gains of up to 91%

We want to point out another aspect of SING’s performance that serves as a good lesson: In yesterday morning’s report we stated: “Indeed we are seeing the gap-up that we expected, this morning pre-market trades have gone off as high as a nickel. After such a huge spike, we wouldn’t be looking to jump in head-first, as a dip-and-rip scenario is exceedingly common in these situations.”

We hope that many of you caught this tidbit, because SING then executed a textbook dip-and-rip, coming down off of a nickel to touch that low of day at .0195 before taking off into the stratosphere. Congratulations to anyone who adeptly played this monster of a play. It was a great way to kick off another exciting week of OTC trading.

US Energy Initiatives Corp. USEI

Speaking of monster gainers, USEI is the other major reason why we hope folks caught our afternoon update yesterday. Our alert couldn’t have been timed much better; the stock was trading at .0027 when we published our report at 2:30pm, just before it would explode to hit a high of .0064 (A possible gain of 137%) and close just a couple of ticks below at .0062 on over 20x its average volume.

The stock traded roughly 80% of its 500M float, meaning the supply of freely-traded stock on the Street is dwindling, a scenario that could produce even more large gains as we go forward.

Remember, this company just announced its entry into the Cannabis Sector yesterday, so we’ll be monitoring this stock alongside all of the other pot plays we’ve been tracking.

Alternative Energy Partners, Inc. AEGY

AEGY was another one that appeared in yesterday’s reports and  afforded traders the chance at sizable profits, as it too played out a dip-and-rip from .0082 to .0119, a 45% move. The main difference between this and the aforementioned stocks, is that we have been following AEGY closely since the beginning last week, when the stock was trading at a low of .0036.

From our initial alert price, AEGY’s high yesterday represented a one-week increase of 231%

AEGY just underwent a Golden Cross on its chart, which will make it one story to follow closely as the week progresses.

AAPL Options, FREE PHOT & Extended Watchlist

Apple, Inc. AAPL – Options

We began the week by mentioning our interest in AAPL Calls, having already experienced substantial gains to that point over the past several sessions. In anticipation of today’s iPad Event, the stock went on a tear, ending the day up more than ten dollars and 2.45% The 11/01 $505 & $510 Calls that we’ve been tracking were pushed deep into the money, yielding enormous gains. The 505’s surged another 100% from our original alert point at $12-range to 24.35, The 510’s, which started off as low as $10, and hit a high of 24.22, ending up at 22.05. A gain of over 140%

AAPL is gapping up once again, trading up roughly 1% pre-market. We expect these Calls to be pushed ever-deeper into the money.

FreeSeas, Inc. FREE

On September 10th we were talking about FREE, and the fact that it had resistance sitting on the chart at .33 and .38. At that time, we observed it trading as low as .2213. In just under a month, we would see it rocket 320% to .9287.

Following that huge run, the stock has been under consolidation, and we are currently monitoring for a bottom. Ideally, we’d like to see that come above the .33-mark. A signal that the stock is ready for a rebound would be the surpassing of the 50DMA at .39.

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

Most of you know that we’ve been tracking PHOT, along with a lot of other marijuana-related stocks for an awfully long time. On August 30th, we reminded our readers to begin paying close attention to the industry following the Fed’s announcement that it would not be interfering with states’ right to legalize marijuana. At that time, it was as low as .0318. We mentioned PHOT again on September 16th, at a price of .042 as it was breaking a double-top.

Yesterday, the stock hit a new high of .072 into the close, marking a gain of 71% since mid-September.
