Options Runners & More

More Earnings Hits:

Our impressive run of options success continued with the fresh ideas we included in yesterday’s premarket report. We were feeling bearish about Campbell’s and United Foods following their quarterly earnings reports, and our instincts proved to be well founded.

Our targets were the CPB Weekly $48-46 Puts, and the UNFI 06/18 $40-35 Puts, and in both cases, we witnessed some very nice intraday moves in our targeted ranges.

Majic Wheels Corp. MJWL – Update:

We have been tracking MJWL for some time now, with our initial tag coming in on the morning of May 13th. Subsequent to that report just a shade under a month ago, the stock changed hands for as little as .0094.

Toward the end of May and into this month MJWL has been streaking to new highs, yesterday reaching its best mark yet at .0791. That’s a total increase of 741% in just a short time. Even those who had only caught our tag of MJWL this Monday morning, still had a shot at some nice gains. Monday’s low came in at .0453, which as of yesterday’s new high marked a three-day upswing of  75%

Quick-Strike SPY Gains & More

SPY Puts Tack on More Gains:

On Tuesday morning, a couple days into this week’s persistent market selloff, we signaled some SPY Puts which we talked about in yesterday’s report. The SPY 05/12 $415-413 Puts had already produced multibag runs, but yesterday’s grim day for stocks helped produce further activity in our bearish contracts of interest.

Here are the new highs established by those plays during yesterday’s session, and the total moves we’ve witnessed since our alert on Tuesday morning:

SPY 05/12 $415-413 Puts
$415:
1.99-10.04 (+404%)
$414: 1.66-9.11 (+448%)
$413: 1.33-8.45 (+535%)

Fresh SPY Idea: With good jobs figures and a number of other factors, we think today may be the day that the markets shake the rust off, so we’re going to hop over to the other side of the fence and go bullish with the SPY 05/14 $406-407.50 Calls.

Unity Software, Inc. U – Recap

We also had signaled a range of earnings plays yesterday in the premarket, and it was the
U 05/21 $85-90 Calls that most effectively bucked the trend of the day.

Those targets didn’t produce massive eye-popping gains on the session, but they did record these very respectable intraday runs and gain possibilities:

U 05/21 $85-90 Calls
$85: 2.20-4.09 (+86%)
$90: 1.05-2.24 (+113%)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GLBS Recap & More

Globus Maritime Ltd. GLBS – Update

GLBS was among the shipping sector plays that we were talking about in Friday morning’s premarket report, and it ultimately ended up being the most interesting one of the bunch. The sector as a whole seemed to be buzzing leading into Friday, and the activity that coincided in the GLBS chart, which made several tradeable swings on the day.

It started from the opening bell when the stock initially ran impressively from .66-1.63 for gains of up to 147% right off the bat. We then observed a pullback whereafter the stock bounced from .95 on up to the high of day at 1.78; that added an 87% rip. Subsequent to that, yet another dip and rip carried from .97-1.41, tacking on another 45% upswing.  In total, cumulative single-session gains for GLBS came in at 279% as the stock traded record volume.

We often search for plays with volatility of this magnitude because they can be excellent for quick intraday flips as GLBS demonstrated on Friday. We’ll be interested to see how it establishes itself as things get going this week. More opportunities may be on the horizon.

Bottom Watchlist

The following trio of stocks caught our interest off of our bottom-play scan this morning. In the case of RCPI we’ve got a stock that’s been steadily beaten back into heavily oversold territory, while BIOC and STX have both violently gapped down in recent sessions. We’ll have all three on extended watch for potential bounce-play opportunities.

Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. RCPI
Biocept Pharmaceuticals,Inc. BIOC
