Blue Horseshoe Stocks: KRFT Recap & More

Kraft Foods Group, Inc.  (KRFT)
In yesterday’s morning report we took note of the huge merger news concerning Kraft and Heinz, and stated our interest in using the resultant activity to our advantage. The dip-and-rip happened just as we predicted, and shortly after 10AM, it was off to the races for every single idea we put forth!

We mentioned our specific interest in KRFT April $75-85 Calls for intraday options trading possibilities, and were extremely pleased with the results.

The $75 Calls traded up from a low of 7.15 to hit a high of 12.30, an intraday gain of 72%  $80 Calls went on a monstrous run from 1.86-8.62, which equaled a 363% move, and the $85 Calls were the hottest ticket of all, running from a low of .30 all the way up to 4.72; a mega-rip of 1473%

It marked our second single-session, thousand-percent gainer in as many weeks, since we hit it big with ESPR Calls last Tuesday. We want to extend a hand of congratulations to anyone who was able to take advantage!

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR

Last year around this time, we were making a killing off of PBR. We had caught it coming off of 10-year lows, and it enjoyed an epic rally lasting a period of many months where we were able to pick off large gains on countless occasions. A quick tag search of our archives on the stock will demonstrate just how often it brought us chances to make winning trades.

The last several months have been rocky for the state-controlled oil giant, as oil prices had been in free-fall while company officials were simultaneously wrapped up in a scandal, and it led to the lowest prices for PBR since 2003.

There appears to have been a rebound on the 13th of this month, so we thought now might be a good time to put PBR on our radar once again. Oil prices have been rebounding as well, so we’ll venture a couple of options ideas to keep an eye on moving forward.

We’re going to put a spotlight on PBR 05/01 $6 & 6.50 Calls which could provide significant opportunities if PBR can sustain this recovery off of its recently established lows.

Vascular Biogenics, Inc. VBLT

VBLT appeared in our reports for the first time yesterday, and it turned out to be a well-timed call. The stock traded in a daily range from 6.25-7.86, representing 26% intraday gain. Several of our chatroom members profited off of it, and we certainly hope some of our readers did as well!

Going ahead, we will use 6.25 as a baseline of support; in order for us to stay interested in VBLT we will want to see the PPS maintained above that level.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: QIHU Update & More

Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd. QIHU – Options
On Tuesday, we floated a few options-trading ideas for QIHU, which had been trading up off of its recently registered annual lows in anticipation of the company Q4 earnings call. Despite positive figures the stock trailed off, however it reversed itself yesterday, lending strength to our short-term options targets.

We outlined our interest in the QIHU Weekly $48-49 Calls, and both sets of contracts enjoyed highly notable gains as QIHU traded in a range from 45.17-47.22. As a result, the $48’s increased from a daily low of .35 to as much as .75, marking a move of 114%

The $49’s fared quite well also, rising from a low of .25 to a subsequent high of .42, for total possible intraday gains equaling 68%

While our longer-term idea of the 03/27 $50 Calls were still too far from the money to begin a move of their own, we’re going to continue monitoring those over the next few weeks as the stock may not yet be done trending up. One particularly apt outlook report on QIHU comes from UBS analysts, who recently upgraded their price target for the stock to $85/share.

Added Note:

This week has been a good one with regard to stocks being discussed in our trader’s *chatroom, and serves as a good example of why we invite our readers to participate.

First, Propanc Health Group Corp. PPCH, which ran an incredible 483% after one of our members brought it forth on Tuesday, we saw some of that momentum carried into yesterday. Starting out the day at .0237, the stock spiked to a subsequent high of .042 for an intraday gain of 77% before consolidating into the close.

Also a topic of conversation in our *chatroom yesterday was Hear AtLast Holdings, Inc. HRAL, and it too caused quite a stir on its chart. From an early low of .0014 (9:34AM EDT, two minutes after we tagged it in the room), HRAL rocketed its way to a high of .0055; a 293% intraday rip!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Reviewing Yesterday’s Winners

SITO Mobile Ltd.  SITO
We kicked off yesterday morning’s report by mentioning SITO, which cropped up on our scanner with some big news, and it turned out to be an excellent call. The stock touched a morning low of .1489 briefly, before running up as high as .197 around lunchtime. That accounted for an intraday jump of 32%

SITO ended the session with strength as well, maintaining the majority of its daily gains into the close at .187, and did so on roughly 4X the average monthly volume.

Remember, we caught this play on the heels of its recently established 52-week low, so our timing couldn’t have been much better. Any way you slice it we can chalk our initial play on the stock up as a win, but opportunities may yet remain. SITO was trading as high as .40 as recently as October, and regaining even a fraction of that level would spell significant gains from here, so it will certainly be on our radar moving forward.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Options Ideas

Some of the other top opportunities from yesterday’s report were the options ideas we offered up, all of which presented the chance at intraday gains as we suggested they might.

Starting with the NFLX $395 and $410 Calls; these contracts saw some intraday fluctuations which made significant gains a possibility.

The $395’s dipped to an initial low of 12.44 before running to 17.55 (+41%), followed by another pullback to the 13.65 level before rallying back as high as 20.05 (+47%), and in the last hour made one more dip-and-rip from 13.20 to 15.50 (+17%). That means those contracts registered an impressive 105% in cumulative gains on the day.

The $410’s bounced around just as dramatically with their own series of big swings; 5.20-9.05 (+74%),  5.40-7.70 (+42%) , 4.60-8.55 (+88%), and 3.80- 5.30 (+39%), collectively accounting for more than 240% in upward movement.

We also cited GPRO for possible chances in options calls, and there were indeed opportunities there as well. $48 and $49 Calls both made moves approaching the 200% mark, as the following snapshot shows. GPRO is gapping up today above $51 in the premarket, so we’ll look to see a possible extension of the gains we’ve already witnessed.

Side Note on American Leisure Holdings, Inc. AMLH:

We also want to make a note of AMLH. We caught it on our scanner after publishing our report Tuesday morning, however we did include it on the Stock Tracker on our blog on that day, and through to yesterday.

After gapping up on huge volume Tuesday, we observed a dip to the .17-.18 range. Since then it has made some nice gains, and closed with strength yesterday. It’s a little late to chase it now but we wanted to make mention of it to illustrate a point we always try to drive home to our readers.  Whether you consume our reports via email, through a third-party website, etc. It’s always a good idea to visit our blog at BlueHorsehoestocks.com frequently and check for updates to the tracker, which may or may not differ from those in our daily reports! New content is published to the blog each morning prior to the market open.
