Blue Horseshoe Stocks: IDXG Keeps Rolling & More

Interpace Diagnostics Group, Inc. IDXG

Yesterday morning, we were mentioning our call of IDXG from last Thursday, and subsequent run from a low of .72 to more than a dollar. It had reached a new high at 1.28 in the premarket and we said we wanted to see it register higher highs and higher lows en route to a more sustained rebound.

So far we’ve gotten just what we were looking for from IDXG, with the stock posting an intraday run of 24% from 1.17-1.54 for yesterday’s session. It pushed the overall move we’ve observed in under a week’s worth of trading into double-bag territory, having risen 114% thus far.

It was helped along by yesterday’s announcement that a large healthcare provider would be covering the company’s thyroid cancer screening tests, which is now covered for up to 250 million Americans. We’ll continue to keep a spot on our radars for IDXG, which was trading over the $2-mark as recently as May.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd – Options Idea

Shares of BABA are streaking to new highs this morning as the company posted a solid beat on profits and revenue in its premarket earnings report.

The last time we visited an idea in the BABA chain was back on June 8th, when we signaled $140-145 Calls and saw them register single-session gains ranging from 1167-3160% so we are definitely familiar with what can happen in an ideal situation.

Today, given the fact of another similar scenario where earnings lead to a large gap up into blue skies, we’re going to be tracking contracts in the range of the BABA Weekly $162.50-170 Calls.

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) – Options Recap

If any of our readers had ever been in any doubt as to why we occasionally try to “shoot the moon” with a risky options idea containing weekly expiration contracts on a Friday, then this past Friday’s session answered their questions for good. We try to shoot the moon, because occasionally you can actually hit it! That was certainly the case with the SPY Weekly $238-50-239.50 Calls that we highlighted in Friday morning’s premarket report.

We stated our reasoning behind the idea as having noticed a “promising jobs numbers release, and what seems like it could be a bullish day for the markets as a whole.”  It really worked out exactly as we hoped, and because the SPY can be traded 15 minutes into post-market hours we got an extra boost to the monster moves we saw, which were as follows:

$238.50 Calls – Range: .33-1.41 – Max Gain: 327%
$239 Calls – Range: .07-1.00 – Max Gain: 1328%
$239.50 Calls – Range: .01-.47 – Max Gain: 4600%

As you can see, those gain opportunities ranged from really good, to ridiculously good, to full on eye-popping! Cheers to anyone who was along for the ride!

Uni-Pixel, Inc. UNXL

We’ve taken notice of what could be a prime rebound opportunity in UNXL. As you can see plainly on the chart below, the stock bottomed out at the end of last month, and has thus far been building a higher base of support in the month of May.

We’re eager to track this play to see if the trend will continue because if you’ll notice two of our favorite technical indicators on this chart, the RSI and the MACD, both are exhibiting an extremely bullish look at the moment. We’re going to place UNXL on intensive watch, because the party could just be getting started.

____

Extra Note: For an added bottom-bounce possibility, we’ll also have California Resources Corp. CRC on our radar, as it just underwent a bullish reversal on Friday, and maintained more than half of its daily gains.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: EXAD Recap & More

Experience Art & Design, Inc. EXAD – Update

We began tracking EXAD off of its bottom at the beginning of last week, at which time we observed a low of .0009 in the stock. We were pleased with its steady albeit limited progress throughout the course of the week as it registered higher lows each day.

Then on Friday, the uptrend really kicked into high gear as we observed an impressive daily trading range from the open at its low of .001 to the close at it high of .0024. That worked out to a 140% intraday swing, and an overall increase of 167% over our observed low on Monday.

With the stock exhibiting momentum-play characteristics, we’ll certainly want to leave a slot open for it on our radar as we kick off a new trading week. In order to hold our interest, EXAD will need to maintain support at or above .0015 on any consolidations.

Shire plc SHPG – Options Idea

We’re intrigued with the present situation on SHPG, a stock whose options chain provided us with multi-bag opportunities from an idea we submitted early this year. Last week, the company made headlines as one of their drugs received FDA approval for an expanded label (Link to PR below), and this morning, we’re seeing a notable gap-up occurring in premarket trading this morning.

We’re going to look into using the current situation to our advantage by monitoring a series of options calls. Our target range is going to be the SHPG Weekly $175-180 Calls. We’ll have these on watch throughout the course of the week.
