Blue Horseshoe Stocks: YHOO Options Review & More

Yahoo, Inc. YHOO – Options

After an impressive run of tracking multiple winning stock plays in recent sessions, we got back to some options-trading ideas with YHOO yesterday morning and were quite pleased with the result.

YHOO was gapping up early on speculation of a possible sale of its core web business, and we were looking for a way to take advantage of the hustle and bustle. Our signaled range was the YHOO Weekly $34-35.50 Calls and big intraday returns in each set of contracts were there for the taking:

$34 Calls – Trading Range: .97-2.36  – Max Gain: 143%
$34.50 Calls – Trading Range: .64-1.91   – Max Gain: 198%
$35 Calls – Trading Range: .40-1.45 – Max Gain: 263%
$35.50 Calls – Trading Range: .30-1.10 – Max Gain: 266%

It’s worthwhile to mention that big gains were also possible at higher strike prices, and it became apparent very early on. We mentioned this in our chatroom*, and members had the chance at up to 120% gains as the $36 Calls ran from .36-80.

CD International, Enterprises, Inc. CDII

CDII was among a group of plays that we put on our radars at the beginning of the short holiday week that have been jumping off of the page with big gains this week. One of our valued chatroom* participants, DJ, reminded everyone yesterday prior to the opening bell that there was activity in CDII (snapshot below) and everyone had to hold onto their hats from there!

What ensued was a monster run from .0019 to .07, which represents an unreal 3584% intraday romp. The news contained the announcement of a $350M purchase order, and traders went wild trying to soak up shares in what ultimately amounted to a dream-scenario.

We’ll be very interested to continue to track the stock moving forward. After its epic run it pulled back considerably into the close and is currently gapping once again in the premarket to the .035 area. We’ll continue to be interested provided it can hold a minimum of .03 as support once things get going this morning. Ideally we’d like to see the stock break through .04 once again and maintain that as a new level of support.

*We encourage anyone who’d like to get involved with our traders chats, simply send a Skype contact request to username ‘stocksumo’. We’d be happy to let any of our faithful readers get in on the fun!

Tautachrome, Inc. TTCM

We tagged TTCM for observation in yesterday’s extended watchlist, and the stock went on to carve out a solid 30% run from .03 to .039. It pulled back only slightly into the close at .035, and did so on roughly twice the monthly average volume.  It also marked the second day of higher recorded highs and lows for the stock, so we’ll continue to track TTCM provided it can sustain that trend.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CAPV & CDNL’s Explosive Moves & More

Cabo Verde Capital, Inc. CAPV
It’s only taken CAPV two sessions since we alerted the stock on Friday to reach superstar status. Even after offering up gains of more than 320% following its appearance in our premarket report on Friday, the stock wasn’t finished.

We issued a reminder in yesterday’s premarket report that despite having already made a big move, the stock was still a prime candidate to continue its momentum. What actually happened was more akin to another explosion, as CAPV ran from an early low of .0205 to an astonishing high of .077 on roughly seven times its 30-day average volume.

It goes down in the log as an intraday run of 276% and stretches the overall move we’ve observed in only two sessions to a whopping 1183%

We’ll remain interested in CAPV for its potential intraday swing capability provided it continues to maintain higher levels of support.

Cardinal Resources, Inc. CDNL

The other big winner yesterday was CDNL which we began tracking heavily on Tuesday of last week. By Friday, it had amassed six consecutive sessions of logging higher lows, and made a run from our witnessed low of .0057 to .0245; a 330% swing.

Like the aforementioned play, we reminded readers in yesterday’s newsletter that  CDNL could very well continue its own momentum into this week, and were very pleased with the results.

The stock surged from a morning low of .0233 and went on to hit .06. It marked an intraday pop of 158% and a total increase of 953% over the low we observed last Tuesday. A huge congratulations goes out to any of our readers who were tracking these stocks along with us in recent sessions, and were able to take advantage of these insanely monstrous moves.

More Momentum Movers

Speaking of momentum plays with which we’ve been familiar in the past, we have yet another pair of stocks to re-mention this morning.

AEterna Zentaris, Inc. AEZS

AEZS logged its new 52-week low on Friday and immediately began to bounce back. It then followed that up with a huge day to kick off the week yesterday, so between that and the fact that it traded record volume, we need to put this play on close watch. The stock has traded as high as 11.50 in premarket trading today, and we’ll look for it to hold support at or above the channel between the 50DMA of 6.69 and recent swing-high around 7.50 on any pullbacks.

____

Magnum Hunter Resorces Corp. MHRC

We introduced MHRC last Monday as a potential recovery play, and it has steadily advanced on the chart in the six sessions since that alert. We saw the stock trading at .021 that first day, and yesterday it had reached as high as .0415; a 98% swing in a single week.

It serves as a great example of why we’re constantly looking for stocks rebounding off of their 52-week lows, and up to this point MHRC has been a textbook play in that regard.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Recapping Tuesday’s Epic Session & More

Premier Biomedical, Inc. BIEI

First up this morning is a review of the eye-popping performance of BIEI so far this week. We included it in Monday’s premarket report and the stock ran 180% intraday from .003-.0084 during that session. After a strong close which we felt qualified it a prime momentum-play candidate, we reiterated our interest yesterday morning. BIEI rewarded us yet again!

From the previous day’s closing price of .0077, we witnessed the stock explode to a daily high of .0329, an excellent intraday move of 327% From Monday’s low of .003, the high represents a swing of 997% That puts BIEI just shy of ten-bagger status in a period of only two sessions!

Big cheers go out to any of our readers who were able to take advantage of this play.

VIDEO RECAP:

We’ve prepared a video chart this morning to go over the stellar performance of not only BIEI, but also a couple of other stocks that have recently appeared in our reports that had some nice moves of their own. Lithium Exploration group Inc. LEXG (.096-.19, +98%) and Pleasant Kids, Inc. PLKD (.12-.185, +54%) had both already provided us with huge opportunities heading into yesterday, and both added to those performances in a big way. View this quick video for the full breakdown:

Options Recap

We formulated some options ideas to include in yesterday’s report, and as has become a regular occurrence for us in the options-trading arena, they all went absolutely haywire!

Walmart-Stores Inc. WMT and The Home Depot, Inc HD,were both running on earnings in the premarket and as a result, we called out our interest in WMT Weekly $58-60 Calls and HD Weekly $123-126 Calls. It wouldn’t have mattered which strike prices were chosen by traders, big profits were possible in every single case:

WMT Weeklies
$58 Calls – Trading Range: 1.43-2.90 – Max Gain: 113%
$58.50 Calls – Trading Range: 1.06-2.41 – Max Gain: 127%
$59 Calls – Trading Range: .70-1.96 – Max Gain: 180%
$59.50 Calls – Trading Range: .45-1.50 – Max Gain: 233%
$60 Calls – Trading Range: .25-1.08 – Max Gain: 332%

HD Weeklies
$123 Calls – Trading Range: 1.20-3.36  – Max Gain: 180%
$124 Calls – Trading Range: .82-2.56  – Max Gain: 212%
$125 Calls – Trading Range: .46-1.78 – Max Gain: 287%
$126 Calls – Trading Range: .25-1.05 – Max Gain: 320%

It wasn’t our first spot-on set of options calls that led to chances for epic profits, and you can rest assured that it won’t be our last. For now, both of these options chains could provide us with even further opportunities, although we may need to look at rolling our strike prices up to stay close to the money. Especially in the case of HD, the $127 and possibly $128 Calls may see heavy action; the stock is gapping up again this morning as sector rival Lowes beat on earnings today as well.
