Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Friday’s Big Winners & More

Sandridge Energy, Inc. SDOC

SDOC was the focus of our closing thought in Friday’s premarket report, and the direct assumption we made about the likelihood of a rebound proved to be very accurate, to put it mildly. The nature of the premarket activity on the stock led us to believe that a bounce was imminent, as we pointed out, and the ensuing price action was quite impressive.

From an early low of .0339, SDOC soared as high as .085, for an intraday burst of 143%, and the move occurred on very heavy volume of more than 5X the monthly average.

It’s fair to mention that following its recent delisting from the NYSE to OTC, the company issued a statement citing that it cannot guarantee its listing and/or trading status moving forward. (View 8K) Those proceeding with speculation into the stock henceforth should do so with utmost caution.

LegacyXChange, Inc. LEGX

LEGX was another play from Friday’s watchlist to do very well on the day. It ran 68% from a low of .025 up as high as .042 on six times the average volume. It represented a momentary breach of the 200DMA, and the fourth consecutive session of higher highs and higher lows.

This is what we characterize as a low-float play; those stocks with tight share structures such as this one have the ability to make exactly the types of moves we witnessed on Friday when significant buying pressure is applied. We’ll continue to remain interested in LEGX provided it maintains support at or above Friday’s swing low at .025.

Sunshine Biopharma, Inc. SBFM

Last but not least among notable plays from Friday’s morning report is SBFM. We’ve been tracking this stock heavily since December 29th, and have observed it trading as low as .008 following that report. It has been on an epic uptrend since then, and managed to set new highs once again on Friday.

It started out trading as low as .023 and surged as high as .0375 for an intraday run of 63% and an overall move of 369% in the eight sessions since we first mentioned it to our readers. SBFM has achieved higher highs and higher lows in seven of those eight sessions.

As pointed out on the following chart snapshot, we’ll need to see SBFM maintain above its previous swing-low of .023 to hold our attention moving forward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Review of Friday’s Half-Session & More

Repros Therapeutics, Inc. RPRX

We’re looking at RPRX as a potential momentum-play this morning. After drastically falling off of a precipice at the end of last month, the stock spent several weeks stepping its way down to a new 52-week low. However, in the few sessions since that time RPRX has been making a nice rebound that warrants our putting this play on watch today.

As you can see on the included chart there are a number of bullish signals in effect. There’s also a good bit of real estate between the current PPS and the next area of resistance on the chart, thanks to the stock’s big decline in October. A return to levels prior to that point would mean gains approaching the 100%-mark from here, so we’ll reserve a space on our watchlist for RPRX.

Pleasant Kids, Inc. PLKD  – Options

Since our first mention of this stock back on October 13th, we’ve witnessed one heck of a run from PLKD, with very few setbacks along the way.

We’ve showed the epic move the stock has made using a trendline on the following chart, running from our observed low of .0581 all the way up to the new high registered on Friday. at .279. That’s a mammoth 380% swing, and with the way things have been going for PLKD of late, it would be a mistake for us to let it slip off of our radars at this point.

The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. BONT

BONT has proved itself to be an immensely successful bottom-call for us over the past week. We re-introduced this past winner on Monday morning, upon which time we would witness the stock trading at a low of 1.25. It proceeded to record four consecutive sessions of higher highs and higher lows throughout last week, just as we’d hoped to see.

BONT’s fantastic recovery carried it to a new high of 2.83 on Friday, which represented an intraweek increase of 126%, congratulations to anyone who made a play on BONT during the short week!

HydroPhi Technologies, Inc. HPTG We’d also like to comment on HPTG, which made an appearance in Friday’s premarket report and ended the short week with a long intraday run from .0027 to .005. It worked out to a 85% spike, and despite being just a half-day, the stock made that move on heavier-than-average volume.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BIOC, EYES & More

Biocept, Inc. BIOC

We watched as BIOC set new highs for the second day in a row yesterday. After gapping up in the premarket, the stock came down slightly to bounce off of support at 2.62 before running as high as 3.60 later in the afternoon. That 37% intraday move came on over 31x the 3-month average volume, and the high represented an overall rise of 110% over our observed low of 1.71 on Monday.

Calculated from the premarket high so far this morning (4.20), that figure is extended to a 145% increase overall since Monday.

Second Sight Medical Products, Inc.  EYES

EYES performed nicely for us after appearing in yesterday’s extended watchlist. It saw its low of 9.55 shortly after 10AM, and built steadily throughout the session, reaching its daily high at 11.64. That was good for tidy gains of up to 21% on the day on extreme heavy volume, and like the previously mentioned play, the stock is gapping up in premarket trading today.

It’s possible that we’ll see similar action as the session kicks off this morning with yesterday’s momentum driving the gap-up, followed by another potential dip-and-rip scenario.

Other Notables From Yesterday’s Report

Chegg, Inc. CHGG was another mention from yesterday’s watchlist that ended up faring well with an early low of 7.44 followed by a steady uptrend throughout the day. The run topped out at 8.71 just prior to the close, marking a respectable 17% increase.

Matching that intraday gain with a 17% move of its own was Cytori Therapeutics, Inc. CYTX, trading in a range from .70-.82. on 10x the 3-month average volume.
