Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CACH, PLUG & More

CACHE, Inc. CACH

Continuing the pattern of tracking bottom-plays that we’ve established this week, we have another potential play to add to the mix this morning with CACH.

We noticed this one on our premarket scanner this morning, and after glancing at the chart we can see potential for a possible dead-cat bounce. The stock has recently been beaten back to a new 52-week low at .22, and is rebounding back to the mid-.30’s in this morning’s premarket trading. We’ll have an eye on it for at least the remainder of the week.

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

Our long-time subscribers will certainly recall our monstrously-successful interactions with PLUG in the past, but for those who are newer to our reports, a quick refresh- we tagged plug initially back on February 28th, 2013 at a price of .135, and over a 13-month period followed it all the way to a high of 11.72 (this March); an eye-popping increase totaling 8,581%

Currently, PLUG is trading near the $4-mark in this morning’s premarket, and there is a gap on the chart from roughly 4.50-5.00. If the stock can break its 50DMA at 4.36 on the strength of a significant PR this morning, we could see a gap-fill.

On the whole, the stock is trading at a relative bottom, and with a number of factors looking favorable (including this morning’s announcement of a contract worth upwards of $20M), we like the chances of seeing some opportunities come our way.

The severe beating currently being administered to the fossil fuel markets makes now as good a time as any to look at alternative energy plays like this one, as well as others we’ve previously tracked within the sector, such as BDLP and FCEL.

LATHAM, N.Y. and SPOKANE, Wash., Dec. 4, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Plug Power Inc. (PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy solutions, today announced that it has executed a multi-year contract for its ReliOn integrated fuel cell solution and GenFuel hydrogen services to be used with a major North American telecommunications provider. >> Full PR

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Momentum Play & More

Vision Plasma Systems, Inc. VLNX

We’ve got a sub-penny momentum play on our hands this morning in the form of VLNX. This volatile trader has been swinging violently over the past few months, sometimes more than a hundred percent at a time.

We’re going to have our eyes on VLNX as we close the book on another trading week; the stock came from beneath .001 yesterday and began to run, hitting a daily high of .0017. As you can see on the included chart below, a move past that point would open the door on much larger gains.

When VLNX has surged in recent months, it has routinely peaked in the .002-.004 range. A run back to those levels from here would provide a good chance for quick profits, and chart indicators are showing a forthcoming spike to be a distinct possibility.

FTE Networks, Inc. FTNW

We saw some action from FTNW after including it in yesterday’s report, as the stock offered up the opportunity for modest gains on the order of 23% intraday from .0303 to .04.

While the chart data shows that the stock hit highs in the .055-.065 range, those were what we refer to as “fat-finger prints”; blocks of such small volume so as to make them insignificant, since it would have been impossible to exit any sizable position at those prices.

Still, gains of up to 23%, which were possible, are nothing to thumb your nose at.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AAPL, ORFG Updates & Extended Watchlist

Update on AAPL Options

We’ve been tracking AAPL pretty intensively over the past couple of weeks, beginning on the 14th of this month. What has followed has been a very impressive uptrend, as we’ve witnessed a move in the stock from a low of $588 to this morning’s pre-market high of $639; that’s a 50-point move in just a couple of weeks.

Between the Beats rumor, the fact that AAPL has a forward split coming, and the approach of a new iPhone which will reportedly boast a larger screen, it seems there is a lot of speculation in the air, and we’ve done well in using it to our advantage.

Last week, we were afforded the chance at percentage increases in the hundreds and thousands from Calls in the $605-610 range, and with the continued uptrend exhibited by AAPL this week, the opportunities were still ripe for the picking in some of the pricier contracts. For example, the $627.50 Calls ran from a low of 1.97 on Wednesday, to a high 9.80 during yesterday’s session, an overnight gain of up to 397%, and appear to be gapping up even further this morning.

In the event of a sustained uptrend in AAPL, we’ll be monitoring the $635-640 Calls, making sure to keep our strike price relatively close to the money.

Orofino Gold Corp. ORFG

ORFG turned out to be a good call for us as the main feature of yesterday’s report, as the stock came down to a low of .0175 in the morning, before showing us a high .0249 shortly before the close. That equates to a solid 42% intraday gain for this bottom play.

We observed higher highs and higher lows in ORFG, and it managed to maintain well over half of those gains into the close (.0229), so we’ll continue to keep an eye on this play moving forward.

The company signed a couple of LOI’s this month, so we’ll be interested to see how those pan out as well:
